As Jesus' fourth major discourse comes to a close, Jesus will give us the parable of the unforgiving servant. The point of this parable is to show us that when God forgives us, He fully expects us to be people who forgive. Grace and mercy that is measured by men, is not divine.
Today we have Robert Moore joining us for all that the book of Proverbs has to say about our speech and the use of our tongues. God expects us to be careful with our words and use our tongues to bless those around us. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Colossians 4:6
In these verses, Jesus continues to explain the value of "little ones" in His kingdom. He will tell His disciples how important they are to God and that we should not despise them. Instead of despising them do this, "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother."
This is a big question today, as it has been since Jesus was born of a virgin. Danny and Kurt will look at the New Testament and discuss what is revealed about the last days, and what we should be doing about it.
This episode marks the beginning of Jesus' fourth major discourse in the gospel of Matthew. This discourse is known as the "Discourse on the Church" and it is kicked off by a question from His disciples. "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
As we come to the end of the Lord's third major discourse, Jesus teaches the parable of the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, and the dragnet. Danny and Robert will listen closely to Jesus and discuss the deep truths that are seen here.
Lightning Round question 15 is an emotional one for sure. The question is, "I'm on my fifties and my son is in his twenties. I have not always been a good father, and was absent during some important times in his life. How can I be a better father today, and how can I heal some of the damage that's been done?"
The multitude has been sent away and Jesus and His disciples have returned to the house. It is here that the disciples of Christ will ask Him about the parable of the Wheat and the Tares. With the explanation of this parable, comes a better understanding of the kingdom of heaven.
Danny and Kurt are looking at Proverbs 31 and discussing the beautiful descriptions of the virtuous wife. Who can find her, and what is her value? Let's find out together.
As we move through this third major discourse in Matthew, we're listening to Jesus teach in parables. Today, Jesus will give us the parable of the wheat and the tares, mustard seed, and leaven. Thank you for joining us in our journey to learn more about Jesus.
Here is another question from Jesus! After James and John ask Jesus if He will do anything they ask of Him, this is what the Lord asks them.
Question 14 is an excellent question. Does God allow second chances and are there examples in the Bible that show this? Absolutely! Danny will look at some places where God gives individuals and even nations a second chance.
Jesus has now begun to speak to the people in parables. They will all hear, but not everyone who hears Him will understand. The prophecies of Isaiah and king David are being fulfilled as we listen to our King.
The book of Proverbs has a lot to say about diligence and slothfulness. Danny and Kurt will look at both of these and talk about the different ways that these two characteristics can be seen in us and in others.
The mother and brothers of Jesus are very concerned about Him (Mark 3:21), and they have come to speak to Him. In our study today, Jesus will challenge His family, His followers, and all of us.
There are several people in the Bible who had the blessed privilege to speak with the Lord. It is surprising how many of them did not agree with God when He came to them and told them what they must do. Danny and Kurt will explore this phenomenon today.
This is question number 13 of our lightning round series. Did zombies really walk around after Jesus' resurrection? Kurt will look at Matthew 27 and answer this excellent question from one of our listeners.
This will be the last part of Jesus' second discourse. He will finish his message to His disciples by telling them that His message will bring division among friends and family. "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it."
In Proverbs 9, two feasts are prepared, two women have done all they can to make ready, and you are invited to both. Danny and Kurt will consider both of these feasts and decide which one to attend.
Jesus has been preparing His apostles for the work that He is sending them out to do. They will preach the same message that He has been preaching, but they need to be aware of a few things, and so do we. "Do not be afraid, you are more valuable than many sparrows."
There are a few times in the New Testament where we see disciples of Jesus disagreeing on a matter and the result of that is usually counterproductive to the work that Christ has called them to do. Danny and Kurt will look at some of those examples and see what lessons we can learn from them. Unfortunately, we still disagree sometimes.
After hearing "The Hospital Visit", one of our listeners wanted to know more about prison evangelism and how to go about doing it. It's Danny's turn to answer, so here are his thoughts on studying with someone who is serving a prison sentence.
WE have been introduced to the twelve apostles of Jesus and now He is sending them out to the towns and villages to preach His message. "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Before they go, they're going to need to understand a few things.
Now that season 7 is in full swing, Danny and Kurt will look at the book of Proverbs as a whole, discuss the meaning of godly wisdom, and stress how helpful this wonderful book of truths can be.
We're stepping into season seven and we hope that you are ready for the book of Proverbs. The wealth of wisdom and council is immeasurable in this book, and we look forward to studying this portion of wisdom literature with all of you.
This episode marks the beginning of the second discourse of Jesus in Matthew's gospel. It is known as the mission discourse and it is the record of the words of our Lord as He spoke to His disciples and sent them out to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
We are blessed to have brother Jesse Garcia from San Antonio, Texas with us today. Jesse is a passionate disciple of Jesus who loves the Lord and loves His word. In this episode, Danny and Jesse will look at the book of Leviticus and talk about some amazing things that God has shown us there.
Jesus has been teaching on top of the mountain for some timenow and He has told us some marvelous things about ourselves, about our Fatherin heaven, and about the kingdom of God. These verses cover the last part ofthe sermon on the mount. Let us hear Him.
When Jesus entered a certain city, ten lepers came near to Him and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" Jesus did have mercy on all of them but only one returned to give thanks to God. This is the very reason that Jesus asks this very important question.
"Judge not, that you be not judged." This is a commandment from Jesus that we will hear and consider today. What does Jesus mean? How can we follow this commandment and do it in a way that is pleasing to Him and to our Father? Jesus will tell us, and we always want to do this His way.
This man does not fill much of the space that is found in the Bible. We see him once in Genesis 14 when he speaks to Abraham and there is one verse in the Psalms that mention his name. Danny and Kurt will look at God's glorious work in this seemingly unimportant man named Melchizedek. He plays an important role in the Priesthood of Jesus!
Lightning Round Question # 11 is an excellent question about the company we keep. In 1 Corinthians 15:33, Paul tells us that evil company corrupt good morals. Does this mean that we should stay away from all unbelievers. Kurt will give us an answer from the Bible.
As we stand here and listen to the Savior of the world, we are still amazed at His gracious words and the authority with which He delivers them. Danny and Robert will listen to Him closely with the full intention of learning More About Jesus.
In this episode, we'll watch a Gentile woman come to Jesus and ask Him to do the unthinkable; share His miraculous power with a Gentile. Danny and Kurt consider the many challenges that she faces and highlight her persistence to get the help she needs.
As we have made our way through chapter five and into chapter six, we will hear Jesus talk to us about giving, praying, and fasting. His godly commandments and heavenly perspective are so helpful to us as we strive to be faithful children of God. Jesus has told us repeatedly, that God is our Father in heaven. What an amazing blessing!
In this episode, Danny and Kurt discuss baptism and what the Bible says about our faithful decision to obey Him. There are several things that happen when we are baptized and we're happy to share that with all of you today.
This is Lightning Round Question # 10, and it is an excellent question! What does the Bible say about where we go after we pass from this life. As always, Danny and Kurt will provide an answer from God's word. Thank you for your questions and for your interest in spiritual things.
Today, we will listen to the Lord deliver some very hard sayings that we all need to hear. "Do not swear falsely, turn the other cheek, go the second mile, love your enemies and pray for them, and be perfect like your Father in heaven is perfect." Let's see what we can learn from the Lord today.
In John 6:63, Jesus says, "It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." Today, Danny and Kurt will examine this claim from Jesus and show that God's word is reliable and can always be trusted. Praise God for His faithfulness!
In this small section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus will begin His teaching with the phrase, "You have heard that it was said...". In this episode, Danny and Robert will watch Jesus clear the air on what God truly desires from His people and what these clarifications mean for us.
Some of our biggest heroes are the faithful saints who suffered under great persecution from their own people and from the Roman government. Not only did they bear up under that immense pressure, they went out to other places and continued to share the gospel of peace. Danny and Kurt will consider them today and look at their great example of faith.
Lightning Round question #10 is, "Should we tithe today?" It is Kurt's turn to provide an answer to this excellent question so let's hear what he has for us today.
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. In this study, we will hear Jesus tell us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. When we fulfill this awesome responsibility, men will see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Praise God!

Many times, people use age old phrases that come from the Bible and sometimes they don't even know that it originated with God. Today, Danny and Kurt will look at a few of those and show where it was first used in the Holy Scriptures.

This is lightning round question #9. As always, we will use God's word to respond to this excellent question. Here is the question. "If God says something is a sin, how do I then treat a loved one who is engaging in that sin?"

Danny and Kurt will try to address those challenges and share some experiences that have proven to be helpful to them in their walk with God. "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt you in due time." This is such a beautiful passage from the word of God. Some people think that being humble means being weak, but it doesn't mean that at all. Godly humility means that we are submissive to our King, and we are trying to be more like Him each day.
Did you know that there are four thieves around the cross of Jesus? Today, Danny and Kurt will look at each one and save the best for last. One of them will be an unnamed hero in season 6! Enjoy!

Where in the Bible does it say that Christians must partake of the Lord's supper every Sunday?
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. We look at the second half of one of the most well known Psalms in all the world. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Amen!!!
Did you know that everyone has a worldview? It's true, our worldview is the way we see things and the way we process all that is going on around us. There are huge differences between the people who put God first in their worldview and those who exclude Him altogether. Danny and Kurt will discuss this reality and how God's word can serve us so well when thinking about our worldview.
As we look at the first half of Psalm 23, we will consider the Good Shepherd and His amazing love for us. The Lord is our Shepherd, and we will lack no good thing! Amen!
As we begin Season 6, we have the privilege of speaking with two godly women about two unnamed women in the Bible. they are very different for a lot of reasons but they both need Jesus and that makes them just like us.

Psalm 3:3 is such a beautiful Psalm that should encourage everyone who hears it and who trusts in the Lord our God. "But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head."
Our theme for Season 6 is "Unnamed Heroes in the Bible" and we are very excited to talk about some wonderful people who did phenomenal things in Scripture, and yet, we don't have their names. Season 6 is going to be awesome!
This encouraging word should really help all of us with our devotion to God, to His word, and to the work that He has given us to do. we must be diligent, we must not be ashamed, and we must rightly divide the word of truth.
What a beautiful Bible verse! "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." Today, we'll look at a great way to do that! Maybe even the best way!
One of the simplest tests that we can give to ourselves is the shopping cart test. It is very telling and it's easy to do. In this episode Danny will help you take the test and show you how to grade yourself in this worthy endeavor. "To him who know to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." James 4:17
God's precious word assures us that if we are faithful to His Son and obedient to His word, we are citizens of heaven. Today we will be encouraged as we look at all that means for us.
Jesus is truly the greatest example in all of human history that demonstrates faith and commitment to God, even when standing against all odds. Danny and Kurt will look at a few of the different moments in the life of Jesus when He faced great odds and how He was victorious every single time.
It is Danny's turn to answer Lightning Round question #7. Here is the question. There are a lot of Christians who say women can't be leaders. So, why are there Biblical examples of strong women? Let's see what the Bible has to say about this important subject and provide a Scriptural answer.
As Moses prepares the people to enter the land, he reminds them of all the things that have been taught and commanded. These two verses sum up all that the Lord their God requires of them. they say they will do it, but will they... Will you?
We know from reading our Bibles that the Christians who were persecuted in Jerusalem were scattered across the region and they went about preaching the word (Acts 8:4). Danny and Kurt discuss the fact that though we are not under persecution, we are free to talk about God and His word, and yet, many of us are not likely to preach the gospel to others. Why is that and what are some good ways to start that wonderful conversation?
In today's encouraging word, we will look at the words of Jesus. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Any time we're sharing our faith in God, we are preaching the gospel. May we do that faithfully and may it be preached to every creature!
The book of Esther gives us a beautiful picture of faith and hope. This young Jewish woman will stand against all odds when a plot to destroy her people is revealed. Danny and Kurt will look at her story and discuss the amazing strength and courage she showed when she realized that it was all up to her.
Lightning Round question #6 is in regards to Romans 1:32. That verse ends by saying, "...those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." Are the "sinner" and the "approver" both guilty of that sin?
Having just recently celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary, Danny will look at Proverbs 5:18 and reflect on what this verse means to him, but more importantly, what it means to God.
Just a heads up! There was a mockingbird outside the window when Danny and Kurt were recording, and he wanted to be on the show SO BAD that we agreed to let him be a guest on this episode... You can always be pleasing to God by faithful obedience to His word and knowing that the Lord knows those who are His. 2 Timothy 2:19
This beautiful verse assures us that we are justified by the blood of Jesus, and we will be saved from wrath through Him. This is such an awesome promise from God, and it is one that will always give us hope in this life, and the life to come.
In this episode, Danny and Kurt will look at king David and the many challenges that he faced throughout his life. David was a man after God's own heart, and we can be as well.
Lightning Round Question #5 is certainly a good one! Are there good people in the Bible who doubted? The follow up to that is an expressed desire to do better and learn how to let go. Danny and Kurt will answer this question today.
Psalm 90 is a Psalm of Moses, and it is a beautiful Psalm that deals with the immeasurable power of God and the frailty of man. Let's be encouraged in all that God has done for us in each one of our lives.
This may be one of the most frequent spiritual questions asked by mankind. Either when we begin learning about God or when our lives are disrupted by some terrible event. We want to know, we need to know, and we deserve to know the answer to that question. Danny and Kurt will talk about this question and a few great places where the answer can be found in the Bible.
In this Encouraging Words, we'll look at the importance of the Old Testament and how it is useful to New Testament Christians today. Yes, not all of it is easy reading, but every word is here for a reason. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God..." 2 Timothy 3:16
Elisha is in a real mess in Israel. He has been faithful to his God, and he has been helpful to his king, but the world is crashing in around him. Today, Danny and Kurt will watch Elisha keep his cool and continue to serve the Lord with all of his heart.
In this 4th Lightning Round episode, Kurt will answer a very thoughtful question from one of our listeners. "If I am livestreaming from home, should I partake of the Lord's Supper?"
InMatthew 13:45-46 we have the parable of the pearl of great price. We will look at it together and see some of the beautiful truths that Jesus shares with us about His Father's kingdom.
In Isaiah 53:7 the Messianic prophecy clearly states that the sin bearing Servant of God was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. In this episode, Danny and Kurt will consider the Lamb of God, and all that He means to us today.
Paul lived his entire life as a Christian against terrible odds! His own countrymen tried to kill him, he was stoned, whipped, shipwrecked, and he was put in prison, all because he obeyed the commandments of the Lord. The apostle Paul is such a great example to us all and Danny and Kurt will consider the man and his life in this Against All Odds episode.
Our lightning round question today is, "What does the Bible say about the friends we hang around?" Danny and Kurt will offer some Bible verses that will help answer this excellent question.
1 Peter 3:15 tells us that we must sanctify the Lord God in our hearts and be ready to give a defense fro the hope that lies within us. Is God sanctified in my heart? Do I have a defense that will glorify Him. We'll talk about that in this Encouraging Words.
The world is content with putting labels on everyone. Labels in society are typically used to define individual people by their race, social status, and even their position at work. Unfortunately, labels are used all the time in the religious world. Danny and Kurt discuss the dangers of labeling people who are different, and how it can cause more harm than good.
Today we will look at the precious blood of Jesus and just how special it is to all of us. "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:15
In Judges 6:12 the Angel of the LORD appears to Gideon and says to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor." Though the angel has told him the truth, Gideon has some real concerns about this bold statement. After all, he is hiding in a winepress to thresh wheat!
Here is our second lightning round question. Is there any evidence or example in the Bible that God actively works in our lives today? Great question! We'll let Kurt take it from here...
Matthew 5:13 begins by saying, "You are the salt of the earth!" In Luke's gospel Jesus will add something to that. "Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out."
In the United States, there is a line in our pledge of allegiance that says, "One nation, under God...", which is an acknowledgment of His power and sovereign nature. In this episode, Danny and Kurt discuss the Biblical truth of God's rule and control of all nations.
Today, we'll think about Abraham and the tremendous faith he had in God. His faith is very important to us because, "We are Abraham's seed, according to the promise." Galatians 3:29
As we begin this new season, we'll start with king Hezekiah. A man who loved God and trusted in His promises. He faced odds that are difficult for us to fathom and yet he turned to God and trusted in Him. He is a great example of faith and of what the Lord will do to help us.
The first lightning round question we have is from Rubi! Her question is a very important one and it deals with choosing the right church to attend for worship services. Is the church of Christ the right church to attend? Here is our answer from God's word.

Children are a heritage from the Lord! They are a gift from God and the fruit of the womb. What a blessed privilege to be entrusted with a human life and to be granted the loving relationship that can only be found in our children.
There are many places in the gospels where Jesus tells people to follow Him. We will look at a few of those places and see how people reacted to Him when the call went forth. We'll also look at the way people react to Him today, as the call continues to go out.

This is the moment when an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and told him that Marry has conceived of the Holy Spirit and she will bear a Son! Today we'll think about the marvelous work of God that He has accomplished through Jesus, our Savior.

Jesus has told His disciples, "You are the light of the world." Not the sun or the moon, but YOU! Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
The hospital visit is one of those things we all have to do from time to time. Though we don't go there often, it sure is important to know what to do and what to say when that time comes. Danny and Kurt discuss this time in our lives and how to handle it in a godly way.
We've been hearing some people say that they are going "no contact" with friends and family that they don't agree with. They're just going to stay home for the holidays. This is a dangerous decision to make and it should be handled with love and deep concern for those who have been hurt. Romans 12:18 "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men."
We would like to give credit to Kyle Campbell for the article that he wrote on this subject. His article was the source of our discussion, and it was a very enlightening read. This is a conversation about modest apparel and the shamefacedness we all should have when it comes to the way we dress.
There is a common practice that we see in society today. It's that sneaky attempt to disguise sin by calling it something that is less offensive to the ears. In this episode, Danny and Kurt will discuss this strategy and show that it is not a new tactic. It's been going on since the beginning of time.
In this little bitty book, Paul praises Philemon and all of his good work in the Lord. With that being said, Paul is going to ask Philemon to do the unthinkable and forgive the man who has deeply hurt him. Can Philemon, do it? With the help of his Savior, he can. And so can we!

Our encouraging word is from Solomon, He gives us the wisdom of God that will always be true. "He who covers his sin will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

Today, we live in a world that is eager to accept all sorts of insanity. We often wonder how these strange ideas are even being considered or entertained, and yet, they are. It feels like we are all living in an asylum. Danny and Kurt will discuss this topic and more importantly, they will look at what God has to say about it.
A couple of weeks ago, we watched Peter pull out his physical sword and cut off a man's ear. Jesus promptly told him to put it away. Today, we will watch Jesus give Peter a new sword! Danny and Kurt will talk about this new sword and how powerful it really is.

All joking aside, Hebrews 13:15 tells us that the sacrifice of praise that we offer to God is the fruit of our lips and we are giving thanks to His name. Danny and Kurt will discuss the singing that the church is called to do and some of the innerworkings of that commandment.
In James 3 we are told that the tongue is set on fire by hell. See what a great forest a little fire kindles. Danny and Kurt will use their tongues to discuss that dangerous little body part and how damaging it can be. When used wisely, it can also be a blessed gift.

What an amazing word to use when we are talking about Almighty God! He is omnipotent, omniscient, all powerful and immutable. Danny and Kurt will discuss this important description of the Lord and how easy it is to see the attribute in His word.
In John 14:27 Jesus tells His disciples, "Peace, I leave with you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." As Danny and Kurt discuss this promise from the Lord, we can realize together that perfect peace is found in God and all that He has done.
There are several occasions in the New Testament where a person asks the very important question, "What must I do?" Danny and Kurt will look at some of those moments and discuss their great importance. It is in these moments that the lost sinner gets to hear about God's solution for sin.
We meet an amazing man in John 9. One of our all-time favorite accounts of a person who met Jesus, the way he responded to Him, and his response to the religious leaders in Jerusalem. There are times in our daily Bible reading that we may think the Lord has been too harsh with someone in His judgment. Or that He may simply find joy in destroying a people or a nation. After David's baby dies, he goes to the house of the Lord and worships. His servants ask him why he fasted and wept while the baby was alive and now, he is eating and worshipping. David's response is so encouraging because he understands the promises of God and believes them with all of his heart.

If you don't have control over your money, your money will have control over you. Being in debt is one of the worst things that can happen to us in this world because the weight of debt will crush everything we care about and everything we should be focused on. Danny and Kurt discuss the great pressures that come from being in debt and what God has told us about these things.
In this final episode of the life of Samson, Danny and Kurt will look at the end of his life and the great temptation that plagued him throughout. He is a difficult character to understand and yet there are many lessons we can learn from this man, Samson.
Samson will continue to be a serious problem for the Philistines. In chapter 15, Danny and Kurt discuss the overwhelming strength of Samson as he faces the Philistines and continues to kill the enemy of God's people.
Samson is one of the most interesting characters in the Bible. He is a physical force, he is compulsive, infatuated with women, and he seems to be very naive when it comes to relationships. Danny and Kurt will discuss this man's character, his victories, and his failures as he lives out his life during the time of the Judges.
Romans 6:23 tells us the truth about our sin and how we can be freed from it. Because God loves us, He has told us about the reality of death and that it is the payment for sin. The world uses doublespeak to distort bad news, the Lord does not. Praise God for His truth!
Danny and Kurt will wrap up their resurrection series with one very important point. Why it matters. The Bible shows us that it matters to God, His Son, and His Holy Spirit. Let's look at why it matters to you, today, right where you are.

In this fourth part of our resurrection series Danny and Kurt will look at the opposing arguments against the resurrection and the reality of its truth. There have many people through the years who have opposed the supernatural work that God accomplished in raising His Son from the dead. Today, we will consider what the opposition has said.

In John 12:41 we are told that Isaiah prophesied these things when he saw the glory of the Lord and spoke of Him. It is an amazing thing to read Isaiah 6 and get a glimpse of what Isaiah saw and how he responded to it. This King on His throne in the temple was Jesus!
In the resurrection - Part 2, Danny and Kurt will look at the many Old Testament prophecies and the words of Jesus concerning the way in which He would be glorified. God gave these prophets the words to say, and they did not understand how it would all come to pass. Here, in the New Testament era, we do understand what God has done.
"Now godliness with contentment is great gain." Everyone is looking for "great gain" and the word of God has told us where it is and how to find it. It is encouraging to read and understand this passage and is even greater to live it out.
The resurrection of Jesus is mentioned in every recorded sermon in the book of Acts. Christ's resurrection is central to all New Testament doctrine. Danny and Kurt discuss the power of the resurrection and why it is central to all of the teaching in the New Testament.
In this episode, Danny and Kurt discuss the sin of enabling. It is wrong to enable others to continue in sin. The word of God is clear on this matter. We should never help others while they sin. Instead, we are to, "Rebuke those who are sinning in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear." 1 Timothy 5:20
In John 5:39, Jesus says that the Scriptures testify of Him. This is the evidence He provides to show that God has sent Him. Today, we will look at compound probability and discuss what the Scriptures say about Jesus and how they prove Him to be the Messiah.
In Romans 1, the Holy Spirit shows us that we are justified by faith. God has done this by His own will, it is not from us. "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Romans 4:3.In this episode, Danny and Kurt will look at justification by faith and what else the Bible has to say about it.
In the parable of the great supper, Jesus tells us about the three excuses that men gave so they wouldn't have to come to the feast.
Be encouraged, you have an invitation from God, and you can choose to accept it, and sit at His table.
Today we are discussing a fantastic lesson that Kurt preached on this past week. We will consider the different truths that Joh tells us we can know. "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the Son of God." 1 John 5:13.
This encouraging word is mostly about home plate. How big is home plate? Is it the same size for every baseball league and for all ages? We answer that question today.
We are at war with the devil. Please be encouraged by the truth that sets men free and by the love that is required to tell the truth. We are in a spiritual war but knowing that allows us to be aware of it and to choose the side that wins!
When our "check engine" light comes on, most of us will check our engines, find out what is wrong, and do whatever it takes to make it right. It's sad to see how far some will go for the maintenance and upkeep of earthly things, while neglecting the spiritual and eternal things which are far more important.
It doesn't get more encouraging than this! Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say rejoice!
There is a powerful parallel between sin and leprosy. Both of them will kill us, they desensitize us, and they can both be spotted and cleansed. Danny and Kurt talk about these very interesting similarities that are shared by sin and leprosy.
Our encouraging words come from Cornelius, the centurion. Knowing that Peter was coming to present God's will, Cornelius invited his friends and relatives so that they too could hear and understand the word of God. One of the most encouraging things we can do is to invite our friends and relatives to come and hear the good news proclaimed.
We always thank God for every opportunity He provides us to share and discuss the important spiritual topics that are found in His word. In this episode, Danny and Kurt thank every listener who has decided to study with them and grow in the word together.

Let's consider this beautiful and encouraging verse from the Old Testament. This is where Samuel tells Saul, "Do as the occasion demands, for God is with you." What an encouraging thing to hear!
In 2 Samuel 24, Araunah offered all the things needed for David to make a sacrifice to God. David famously replied, "No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God with that which costs me nothing." There are some things that are very important to us, that we'll need to give up in order to serve and please God. That is true sacrifice.
One of the most important things for each one of us to know and believe is that Christ is risen from the dead. Paul has devoted his Christian life to this truth and in 1 Corinthians 15:19 he explains that if he is wrong about the resurrection, then he is the most pitiable of all men.
In the final episode of this series, Danny and Kurt spend some time with Jesus at Calvary. What a Savior! What a friend! We'll watch the love of Christ, freely given to the world as He willingly offers Himself to God on the cross. Our debt has been paid in full.

The wisdom of God has been shared with the whole world! God has shown us that He has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the mighty and He has done all of this through His Son. "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord!"
The elders and the chief priests will finally get their way. After several frustrating attempts, trying to get Jesus apart from the crowd, they now have Him right where they want Him. Bound, hidden away in the dark, facing a kangaroo court that will not allow a fair trial. Let's watch our Lord and Savior together as He stands before these wicked men, in accordance with His Father's will.
Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father and makes intercession for us! What an amazing thing to know what our Savior is doing on our behalf, while we strive to enter through the narrow gate. "In My Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2
With a good understanding of the time and place that Jesus lived, we have come to Judas Iscariot and the dreadful role that He played in the crucifixion of our Lord. *A special thank you to Ben and Kaiden Schneider who have acted out the roles of the two men at the beginning of each episode in this series.
These encouraging words help us to see the importance of our obedience to God. Jesus obeyed His Father in all things. The cross makes that more clear than anything else, but Jesus always did what God had given Him to do. Be encouraged by the words of Christ in John 14:30-31.
In this second part of the crucifixion, Danny and Kurt look at the people who are reacting to Jesus, His powerful influence on so many in Jerusalem, and the Jewish leadership. What are they going to do about Jesus?

What an amazing verse! If we say that we abide in Jesus, then we ought to walk as He walked. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and our Friend. He has given us the perfect example to follow as we live out our lives for God. In John 13:15 Jesus says, "I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you."
A Plus O Equals R. What does that mean? Danny and Kurt will discuss this old formula, how it is used in the church, and what it means for each of us today.
Did you know that God is calling you. He is calling out to each one of us. Psalm 19:2-3 says this, "Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. there is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard." God speaks to all of us through His creation, but He certainly speaks in other ways as well. Danny and Kurt will discuss the way the Lord speaks to us and what He is saying.
The Sadducees have come up with a very difficult question that they want Jesus to answer. They have made the terrible mistake of trying to make God's word fit what they already believe, and Jesus will show them the error in that approach. He will say to them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures not the power of God."
The Lord's church should always be looking for godly men in their midst who would be qualified to serve as elders and deacons. In this episode, Danny and Kurt take a close look at deacons, and the qualifications that are given by the Holy Spirit.
"What is your Beloved more than these?" This question is asked of the Shulamite woman who was searching for her beloved. She was so in love that she knew the answer to that question and was determined to tell others. Friend, when you are asked about Jesus, how do you respond?
Some believe that the Bible was simply written by men. Others believe it is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). Danny and Kurt will look at this age old debate and discuss the New Testament, how it came to be, and the claims that are made within its letters.
In this passage, Jesus tells us that the Day of the Lord will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. As disheartening as that sounds, we'll look at the positive side of that message. If we watch faithfully for Him and are steadfast in prayer, we will be counted worthy.
"Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat." Luke 22:31
Before His betrayal and arrest in the garden, Jesus warned Peter that he was going to be tested by Satan. Peter will be challenged that night to stand with Jesus during His trial. Satan attacks him three times and Danny and Kurt will discuss those three attacks and the way Peter responded to them.
Jesus, the Son of God is the Prince of Life! We will watch Him raise the widows son at Nain in Luke 7:11-17. Praise God!
A person who is deceitful is one who tries to convince others to accept something as valid and true that is actually invalid and false. Danny and Kurt will discuss this topic and look at what the Lord has to say about it. "Diverse weights and diverse measures are both alike, an abomination to the LORD." Proverbs 20:10
In 1 Timothy 2:3-4 Paul tells Timothy, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." In this verse, we can see God's desire for every single person who has ever lived. His thoughts are favorable toward us, He loves us, and He wants us to know the truth about Him and His Son. Danny and Kurt will discuss this amazing fact and how many different times the Lord tells us about His thoughts towards us.
That's right! There a few things that the Bible tells us God cannot do. As stange as that sounds, that Almighty, all knowing, omnipotent, and omnipresent God has some things that He cannot do, and He has told us what they are. Danny and Kurt will talk about those few things and discuss what it means for us.
God has warned us about harboring bitterness and envy in our hearts. It is so destructive and it hurts everyone involved. Danny and Kurt will look at those in the Bible who were bitter and envious, and we will consider a few of those stellar characters that chose not to be. "But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast against the truth." James 3:14
We have three great questions that were submitted to our Bible Question Box, and they all deal with the same subject. Danny and Kurt will answer those questions on this podcast. What is heaven? What does heaven look like? What will I look like in heaven?
In Joshua 1:9 the Lord tells Joshua to be strong and courageous. In this short podcast, Danny and Kurt will look at this commandment and discuss how we can be strong and courageous, no matter what is happening in our lives.
Today, Danny and Kurt discuss the phrase, "calling in the name of the Lord" that is found in Scripture. What does it mean, how is it used in the Bible, and how does it help us in our walk with the Lord? To our listeners, thank you so much for your interest in spiritual things. These are marvelous words that are spoken by our Savior! In John 16:33 Jesus tells his apostles, "Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." We hope that you are encouraged by these eternal words of love.
God told Ezekiel that if he did not warn the children of Israel, their blood would be on his head when they die in their iniquity. Danny and Kurt discuss this instruction from God and what it means for us. "So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me." Ezekiel 33:7
In Luke 17, Jesus tells his apostles that if their brother sins against them seven times in one day and repents of those sins each time, they should forgive every time. The apostles respond by saying, "Increase our faith." This is when Jesus explains the relationship between the servant and the master. 'Does the master thank that servant after he has done all that he was commanded to do?" I think not.
In 1 Timothy 3:15, the apostle Paul refers to the church of the living God as the, "Pillar and Ground of the Truth". From this passage alone, we can see the important role that the church plays in its service to God. Danny and Kurt will discuss the role that the church plays in this world and what God has given her to do.
One of the greatest Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament is found in Isaiah 53. This chapter looks at the crucifixion of Jesus through the eyes of believer. Each one of us is also seen and prophesied of in this prophecy. "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him, the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6
It is so good for us to seek the LORD! It is even better to know that He loves us and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Psalm 34:4 says, "I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."
AS we continue our study on children and what a blessing they truly are, we will focus in on Samuel. A very young man in Shilo who has given his heart and his service to the true and living God. What a great example he is for us and what a wonderful thing it is to speak as Samuel spoke in his youth. "Speak Lord, for your servant heareth."
Today's encouraging words come from Numbers 6:23-27. It is a priestly blessing on the nation of Israel and it has a beautiful sentiment that we can offer to our friends and loved ones today.
Children are truly a blessing! Psalm 127:3 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward." This tells us that children are a gift from God and we as parents, are stewards over their lives. Danny and Kurt will discuss this great blessing and great responsibility in part one of this episode.
There should be a strong desire in each one of us to better each and every day. When it comes to living a spiritual life, and making those necessary improvements, we can learn a lot about who we were yesterday, who God wants us to be today, and how to make those changes that need to be made so that we are pleasing to Him.
As we read from Luke 20:20-26, we see the Pharisees and the Herodians approaching Jesus, pretending to be righteous, and asking Him one of the great burning questions of the day. "Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" Jesus' response to that question is awesome! Danny and Kurt will look at this question and really focus on the answer that Jesus gave to them and to us.

In James 1:19-20 the inspired writer tells us that we should be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. That can be a very difficult thing to do in certain situations. Danny and Kurt will discuss the meaning of this passage and how to apply it in daily life.
Some people read about God's fierce anger in the Bible, and they are deeply troubled by what they see in Scripture. Danny and Kurt will discuss God's anger, and what we should be thinking about when we see these recorded episodes of fury and wrath. Danny and Kurt look at the New Testament passages that clearly tell us that Jesus is the Creator and compare those verses to the Old Testament account of creation. How did Jesus create the heavens and the earth and what are the inplications of that truth?
In the beginning, God saw that it was not good for man to be alone. So, the Lord God of heaven made a helper comparable to him. Marriage is a divine ordinance of God and is sanctified by the Lord. If you're married for any time at all, you'll realize that marriage is hard. I need to learn to set my own wants and desires aside and make sure my wife is cared for the way God wants her to be cared for. That requires me to set myself aside and be all that she needs me to be. Marriage is hard.
"We do not cease to pray for you... that you might be strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;"
Be encouraged by the glorious power and might of God which He supplies to each one of us for patience and longsuffering with joy.
The book of Genesis is the first book in the Bible. Genesis means, "In the beginning, source, or origin". Danny and Kurt talk about this book of beginnings and how important it really is. We hope and pray that this discussion and study id helpful to you.

In John chapter 4, Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well and has an amazing conversation with her. When she asks the Lord about worship and the proper worship that is pleasing to God, Jesus tells her about a time that is coming upon them quickly. "The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him." John 4:23
The world will recognize our discipleship in Christ by our love for one another. What an amazing statement from our Lord and Savior. Be encouraged by this time-tested truth love your brothers and sisters in Christ with all of your heart.
The Pharisees sent some of their disciples with the Herodians to ask Jesus if it was lawful to pay taxes. Jesus' response is so powerful for those who asked Him and for each one of us. These men gave the Lord a "yes or no" question and He did not answer them the way they wanted. Instead, He gave an answer that takes us away from the carnal and brings us into the spiritual. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Paul wrote some very difficult things to the Corinthian church so that when he came to them, he would not be sorrowful. The worst thing that could ever happen to a Christian would be for them to lose of their faith and salvation. Paul doesn't want that for them, so he wrote what was necessary to help them turn back to the Lord. Today we hear Paul express that to them in his own words and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours (James 5:17) and he experienced deep levels of depression and doubt. In this podcast, Danny and Kurt will look at Elijah, the situation that he is in, and what the Lord did for him so that he might continue the good fight of faith.

In this special episode, we have Dan Gatlin from Kerrville, Texas with us. Out study comes from Daniel chapter 1. Dan and Danny discuss the courage of the four young Hebrew men in Daniel 1, and the great lessons we can all learn from them.
Jesus spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. The Lord has given us a way to speak directly to Him, knowing that when we pray, He hears us if we ask anything according to His will (1 John 5:14). It seems today that there are so many who have lost heart or don't think to pray to Him in their daily lives. Danny and Kurt want to encourage you and remind you to pray without ceasing. He is listening.
Our encouraging words are found in Ephesians 2:10 today. As Christians, we are told that we are the workmanship of God and that we are created in Christ Jesus for good works. God has prepared these good works beforehand so that we might walk in them. What a great way to look at our service to Him and the great purpose that is served when we do things the way He has intended.
Ezekiel 18:4 says, "The soul who sins shall die." Danny and Kurt will discuss this godly truth and what the Lord means when He says it. The father is not guilty for the son's sin and the son is not guilty of the father's sin. Equally true is the fact that the father's righteousness does not make the son righteous, and the righteousness of the son does not make the father righteous. Everyone is accountable for their own lives and their own actions.
Danny and Kurt offer some encouragement to everyone with the powerful words and the sentiment found in Colossians 1:9-12. What a marvelous thing it is to know that someone is praying for you to be filled with the knowledge of the will of God in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. How encouraging!!!
In Luke 6:46, Jesus asks the question, "But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and not do the things which I say?" This question from Jesus is for those who are standing in front of Him, and it is also a question that reaches everyone who will ever hear it asked. Danny and Kurt will discuss this very important question and what it means for us today.
In this encouraging passage, God makes a promise to the nation of Israel. Every point that is made in this promise is directly tied to this statement, "I will be with you". Danny and Kurt talk about this promise from God and the depth of what it truly means.

In Genesis 50, Joseph was the second most powerful man in the world. When he was finally given the opportunity to repay his brothers who hated him and sold him onto slavery, he makes one of the humblest statements in all of Scripture. "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive."
One of the most popular accounts in all of the Bible is the one concerning David and Goliath. Goliath is a Philistine champion from Gath, and he is a giant! David is a young lad from the house of Jesse, a Bethlehemite. These two will meet on the battlefield and change the course of two nations. In this episode, Danny and Kurt will look at this battle and consider the great lessons that God has for us here.
Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think! What an amazing statement about God and His intimate love and care for us. Let's look at Ephesians 3:20-21 together and be encouraged.
In John 6, we see Jesus delivering a very hard saying that the people couldn't understand. They were so troubled by His teaching, that they turned away and walked with Jesus no more. As the crowd walks away from the Son of God, He turns to the twelve and asks this very important question. "Do you also want to go away?"
It seems like the only words that are noticed in society today, are those that harm, tear down, and destroy. Proverbs 25:11 speaks of words that are timely and beautiful to those who hear them. It is well worth our time to speak with grace and with great intention so that we might lift someone's troubled heart in their time of need.

In this episode, Danny and Kurt will look at another question from Jesus. This time, He will ask His apostles, "Why are you so afraid?" after He calms the waves and the sea. They are afraid for the same reason that we would be afraid, and it is good for us to look at these moments in the gospels and consider our own lives when storms arise.
The question, "What is truth?" is asked by Pontius Pilate as he stands before Jesus during the trial. Danny and Kurt will look at that question and look for the right answer in the living word of God.

Danny And Kurt will look at this passage and discuss what it means for the Lord in His passion and for us today, as we watch Him give His life for the whole world that we all may see His love for us.
There is an ominous message that is going out from our world leaders and top scientists. If we do not reverse our course as it concerns climate change, the destruction that is coming will be devastating to all humanity. In this episode, Danny and Kurt will look at these warnings and use the word of God to understand our place in all of this worldly concern.
This is a title that needs some explaining. In this episode, Danny and Kurt talk about the difficult passage in James 1:2. "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." We should count it as joy when we face the trials that come our way and yet that is very hard to do. James tells us that we know the testing of our faith produces patience.
In 1 Corinthians 12:30-31 Paul says, "Do all have gifts of healings? Do all have gifts of tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet now I show you a more excellent way." In this episode, Danny and Kurt discuss the more excellent way in 1 Corinthians 13 and how excellent it truly is.
In John's gospel, Jesus asks Peter three times, "Do you love Me?" Danny and Kurt look at this moment between the Lord and His apostle and discuss the question, its depth, and what it means for us.
The third and final time we hear the voice of Satan is found in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit and fasted for forty days and forty nights. The tempter came to Him at that time and what He has to say to Jesus is recorded for us. Danny and Kurt will look at that important conversation between the father of lies and the Prince of Life and see what we can all learn from our Lord and Savior.
Forgiveness is such a beautiful word. It's beautiful to the one who has been forgiven and it's beautiful to the one who forgives. In this episode, Danny and Kurt talk about forgiveness, its beauty, and the challenges that present themselves when it's time to forgive in a godly way.
The second time we hear the voice of the devil in Scripture is found in the first two chapters of the book of Job. When the devil spoke to Eve in Genesis 3, he accused God before man. This time he will go to God and accuse man before God. Jesus says this about the devil in John 8:44. "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it."
Why did the Lord choose a young shepherd boy to go out and fight Goliath? Why did the Lord tell Gideon that three hundred men would be enough to defeat the Midianites who were numbered as the sand of the sea? Why was Jesus, the Son of God born in a manger and why did He grow up in the home of a carpenter in Nazareth? Because God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27). In this episode, Danny and Kurt will discuss this amazing truth in God. He chooses the weak to defeat the mighty things of the world because no flesh shall glory in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:29).
Throughout all of Scripture, we see the devil speak three times. In this three-part series, we will watch what he says and who he says it to. We know that God has given us these things because He does not want us to be ignorant of Satan's devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). He is a liar and a murderer from the beginning so we will start in Genesis chapter 3 where the devil speaks to Eve.
Discernment is a very important word that is used in the Bible. As Christians, we are required by God to discern between good and evil. Danny And Kurt will look at this great responsibility that is enjoined upon us by God.
The Marshmallow Test is a psychological study that was first performed by Walter Mischel, a professor at Stanford University. These studies were done to test delayed gratification and was designed to follow the children into their adult years. Would these young children who could delay gratification at an early age have a better chance of being successful later in life? These studies found that the children who were willing to wait scored higher on their SAT's, had higher GPAs in college, and a higher annual income as adults. Danny and Kurt will consider these studies and discuss how delayed gratification is a part of God's will for our lives.
Jesus is called the Son of Man over 90 times in the gospels. We see that this term is very important because it tells us so much about who Jesus is, and the reason He has come and partaken of flesh and blood. Let's go to God's word together and see what we can learn about this title, "The Son of Man".
Paul told Titus that he left him in Crete so that he could set in order the things that were lacking and appoint elders in every city (Titus 1:5). In this episode, Danny and Kurt will discuss the need for congregations to have elders and the rich blessings that come to a local church when they have appointed qualified elders to serve in that capacity.
The chief priests, the scribes, and the elders approached Jesus during the last week of His life and asked Him two questions. Jesus responded by saying, "If you answer My question, I will tell you by what authority I do these things". Then He asked them about the baptism of John, is it from heaven or from men. What happens next reveals the hearts of the Pharisees and their unwillingness to tell the truth. Danny and Kurt will look at this moment in time and share their thoughts on what took place.
What is one of the best ways that we can serve God and serve our brethren? By being an encouragement! Danny and Kurt discuss the important Biblical topic of encouragement, how the Lord sees it, and what a marvelous impact it can make on our own lives. "When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord." Acts 11:23
With all of the discussion about racism in the world today, Danny and Kurt will address this difficult topic using the Common Sense Gospel approach. What does the Lord have to say about race and racism, and how should Christians approach this sensitive and sometimes divisive subject? Let's go to God's word together and see what we can learn. "But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him." Acts 10:35
This is the first of several podcasts where Danny and Kurt will look at some of the questions that Jesus asked the people around Him. It is amazing to look at what God says to His people as He is standing right in front of them in human flesh. We are looking forward to studying the questions Jesus asked and the beautiful pictures of God that are found in those questions. Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus is the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His person, and He upholds all things by the word of His power.
In Galatians 6:1 tells us that if a man is overtaken by a trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one..." Danny and Kurt will discuss this passage and offer some suggestions for those who are trying to restore a Christian who has been overtaken by a trespass and needs help from God's people. Who is this person who has fallen away, and who is the spiritual person who should step in and assist?
As Marshall Keeble famously said, "There is water in the plan!" In this episode Danny and Kurt look at water and how it's used in the Bible and the many beautiful pictures that are seen there. "Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17
Deborah was a prophetess, a psalmist, a military leader, and a judge! She is a magnificent character in the Bible, and she is used by God to free His people from Jabin, king of Canaan. The Israelites come to her for judgment, and they know that she is led by God.
What lies at the foot of the cross? God's eternal love, the perfect and complete offering for our souls' salvation, and a determination from each one of us to give our lives to God. In this episode Danny and Kurt discuss the power of the cross and the influence it has on those who love and serve the Lord. "For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:2
It is often said that Christians have a blind faith. They can't explain what they believe so they just say, "I have faith". In this episode, Danny and Kurt will discuss their faith in God and how we should respond to the assumption that our faith is blind. Hebrews 11:1-3
In this podcast, Danny and Kurt will look at the picture that is given to us in the life of Mephibosheth. As a direct descendant of Saul, he would normally be killed by the new king to keep him from claiming the throne to be his rightful place. David, the king, does not kill Mephibosheth but instead does something that surprises us all. This is a beautiful picture of our King and the way He feels about us.
This episode is the second part to "How Does God Save Me." Many people in the world ask this very important question, "How can I know that I am saved?" and truly need a Biblical answer. Danny and Kurt provide the answer from God's word to help all of us know if we are saved.

Christ is the head, and the church is the body. Ephesians 4:16 tells us that the whole body is joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causing growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. There are some fantastic people in this world who do a lot of good things in their lives. The immoral woman is found many times in the book of Proverbs. We are warned about her in chapters 5, 6, 7, and 9. Danny and Kurt discuss chapter 7 and the way she seduces men. If he goes to her, he will lose his life. "For by means of a harlot a man is reduced to a crust of bread; And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life." Provers 6:26

You may have heard your preacher say, "Nine out of the ten commandments in the Old Testament are repeated in the New." Danny and Kurt will look into this claim and see which Old Testament commandments are repeated in the New Testament.
Faithful Christians are in the middle of a terrible storm. Sin is pressing in on all of us as we strive to serve the Lord. We should be encouraged to know that there is nothing new under the sun and we are not the first to deal with these kinds of problems. Being grateful for what God has done should always cause us to reciprocate His kindness to those around us because of the great blessings we have received from Him.

Sin is an important word in the Bible that deserves our attention. It is on every page of Scripture in one way or another and it is the reason that we are separated from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). In this episode Danny and Kurt will discuss the way sin is portrayed in the Bible, what it does to us and to our precious souls, and the godly remedy for dealing with sin.
Gossip is a way to share questionable information about someone else with others. It's very easy to get caught up in gossip or what people are saying about others but it is so painful to know that someone has been gossiping about you. the Lord doesn't want us to gossip. He wants us to follow Him and only speak the truth as He does. We'll tackle this tough topic, how to spot it, and how to avoid it in this episode.
Social conformity is a very powerful thing and it can quickly lead us in a direction that God would not want us to go. In this episode, Kurt and Danny discuss the challenges of social conformity and how to make sure that we are doing all we can to stand in the truth and not where society says we have to stand. "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all to stand." Ephesians 6:13
As we read the Bible it becomes clear that we are to praise God with our lives. We are to praise Him in song and service. In Ephesians 1:4-6 Paul tells us that God has chosen us in Jesus Christ, having predestined us to adoption according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the beloved. Danny and Kurt talk about this statement and how amazing it truly is that we should praise the glory of His grace!
In Matthew 5:13-15 Jesus tells His disciples that we are the light of the world. Faithful servants of God should have a strong impact on the people around them. We have opportunities all around us to encourage as we strive to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May God bless us richly as we look for and anticipate the opportunity to speak a kind word to someone who is weary.
Doubt is a very serious thing when it comes to our spiritual strength and our trust in God. Each one of us experiences doubt from time to time, but what should we do when it comes our way? Danny and Kurt explore this problem and the danger it poses to the believer.

God's revelation of himself to us through the scriptures describes him as merciful and loving yet also wrathful and avenging. This is not a matter of contradiction, as some might claim, rather it is the reality of God's personality and a consequence of his holiness and righteousness. We'll examine this and more in this episode. Join us and consider the goodness and severity of God.
This week we finish up our series on parables with the teaching of The Rich Man and Lazarus. While considered a parable by some, it falls outside the normal parable structure in many ways. Join us as we discuss this lesson given by Jesus that gives us a glimpse into the next life and contrasts those who are rich in this life but without regard for their soul with those who are poor according to the things of the world but rich towards God.
