Chatting today on Hot 96.7 and discussing mostly the 2013 Imagine Calendars.
Relay For Life of Blue Earth County and Nissa NaKia Photography have teamed up to create the 2013 Imagine Calendar featuring cancer survivors and their stories. This fundraiser is to raise money and awareness with 100 percent of proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
The theme for this year’s calendar is “Imagine a World With More Birthdays!” It features images of cancer survivors and those still battling the disease along with their stories of love, life, and celebration. Calendars will be ready by the July 13 Relay for Life event at Erlandson Park in Mankato.
Relay teams and individuals are currently taking pre-orders to gauge the amount of calendars needed and ease funding of this project.
"I am excited and honored to be a part of this 2013 Imagine Calendar,” said Joan Kelly, one of the cancer survivors featured in the calendar. “I love that they are putting our faces and stories of our journey through cancer survival, while helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We can fight this disease together. Celebrate. Remember. Fight back!"
A Relay For Life website and has been created for placing orders of these beautiful calendars. They are $15 and can be ordered through the Relay site (http://main.acsevents.org/goto/calendar) or linked through the "ImagineCalendar" Facebook page. Orders can also be placed with any Relay For Life of Blue Earth County team member. The calendars will be available for distribution by July 13.
