Luke 7:11-17.
In this message we consider true and false compassion, taking a look at euthanasia along the way.
Looking at Luke 6:12-16. Jesus prayed before he chose his apostles, do we pray before we plan?
Jesus is: Good News for the Poor, Freedom for the Captives, Sight to the Blind, Freedom for the Oppressed, The Favour of God.
The main events in the Gospel of Luke kick off with a visit to the wilderness to hear John the Baptist preach.
In a self-focused age, that seems to have forgotten its past and assumed it has no future, we remember that our story doesn't start, revolve around, or finish with us.

How should we respond to a culture that is increasingly hostile to Christianity?
Answer: With Compassion, Responsibility, and Realism.
As our nation turns on Christianity, do we dream of teaching them a lesson? Or do we see ourselves as under obligation to serve the world for the sake of Jesus?
How can Peter receive revelation from God in one moment and speak on behalf of Satan in the next? And what can we learn from this?
