For his senior podcast, Mateo Brown takes his listeners on the ride he called high school. He tackles his personal life versus academic and how there seemed to be some misunderstanding between the two. Essentially, Mateo had a two worlds.. one that was chaotic and one that was perfect.
This is a podcast produced for CSP 100 as a part of my final for the University of Michigan Summer Bridge Program.
As Mateo narrates a Personal essay, he navigates through his upbringing as a biracial child in a somewhat accepting environment.
In the second episode, Mateo describes the parts of his life that he is most proud of. It'll show an evolution in leadership but also in simply being a better person. He conveys this message with narration and an interview with Fatima Flores, his four-year running buddy through high school. Together, they help the audience visualize this story & bring it to life.
In the first episode of this series, The Imperfect Perfectionist, Mateo Brown takes the listener down memory lane to the early stages of his high school career. He was that one perfect kid that always finished the work before anyone else and leashed onto the teacher as fast as he could. But, things are not always how they seem. Mateo had been battling a chaotic life at home and was searching for a sense of control. So, he grasped his other world as hard as he could. Would anything change?
