The assassination of Japan’s former prime minster, I believe is a tipping point—either towards all out war or when the American public said enough-is-enough. Based on the interests of American’s, it looks like America is more interested in squelching news of a fraudulent election than the death of a world leader. Remember when the press lost their mind over President Trump talking up America First strategies? The press went to town on Trump for over a week on how bad the decorum behind talking politics overseas. Why then is the press silent over Biden’s trashing of America on foreign soil?
In today’s episode I take to task Biden’s outright lie that America is doing great economically and that the only problem is caused by the US Supreme Court.
My conclusion today is simple. Vote for the republican in November. I do talk about how republicans have let us down, but the alternative…another democrats majority in congress…spells disaster for America.
With the media and leaders from the democrat party taking to the mic with lies about the Supreme Court decisions and calls for it be de-legitimized, it is difficult to know what to think about the decision. In today’s episode I boil down the decision to the simplest form and use Justice Alito’s actual words to prove the point. I also highlight how the left is working overtime to break America and advance their political ambitions.

In this episode I compare carpet bombing to the progressive movement’s effort to destroy women’s rights. I identify the main purpose behind the move to declassify women—which will now rise all the way to the Supreme Court. No longer will the common man be allowed to define women. What comes next is the total destruction of America…which is actually the goal. I’ve heard enough from those leaders who say they are loosing their patiences with Americans getting the vaccine. I am especially tired of seeing our media outlets tear apart this country by divided people along the lines of liberty. In today’s episode I address just how resilient and strong America is and call for a corse of action I believe will fix the issues.
For those of you who need to hear this.
If you are feeling sick or struggling with a respiratory illness. Please stay home or, if you must go out, wear a mask. If you can not wear a mask, then ask a friend or neighbor to run your errands.
If you contract COVID-19, seek medical assistance from your closet hospital. If you are not yet sick, then research alternative treatment options and order supplies to aid in your recovery now, before you get sick. Any preparation you can do now to prevent you needing advanced medical treatment will decrease any strain on our medical system for those very ill or injured patients who need emergency care.
For those of you who have a comorbidity such as excessive weight, a respiratory impairment, or an immune deficiency, please consider participating in the experimental vaccine to help give your body a fighting chance should you catch COVID. For those of you not comfortable getting the shot, please restrict your movement to limit your exposure to those who might be carriers of the virus.

There is too much going on all at once for the public to keep up on the happenings…actually, if you think about it, this is the way our system is designed; we elected citizens to represent us in congress and do the people’s work.
Remember when you were a kid and you wanted something that mom didn’t want you to have? Antifa means "Anti-Fascist", right? So to oppose Antifa means you're "pro-Fascist", right?
In order to answer this question, we should make sure we're using the same definition of the word "Fascist." Are we though?
Most of us think of the academic use of the term, as defined by Benito Mussolini, the first Fascist, who was separating his brand of totalitarianism from the Communist brand he had previously agitated for. It's something like this:
"Everything Within the State, Nothing Against the State, Nothing Outside the State"
1."Everything in the state". The Government is supreme and the country is all-encompassing, and all within it must conform to the ruling body, often a dictator.
2."Nothing outside the state". The country must grow and the implied goal of any fascist nation is to rule the world, and have every human submit to the government.
3."Nothing against the state". Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong. If you do not agree with the government, you cannot be allowed to live and taint the minds of the rest of the good citizens.
[Side Note: The completely democratic Urban Dictionary was the source of the descriptions of the three maxims of Fascism, because dictionaries and Wikipedia have intentionally obfuscated the meaning.]
Most Americans are definitely against this kind of fascism. We usually think of the Nazi regime as "Fascist" so we think of Anti-Fascist as "Anti-Nazi".
When Antifa says they are "Anti-Fascist", they're not talking about opposing this classical definition of Fascism.
Antifa has re-defined "Fascism" to mean liberal democracy and capitalism.
Are you anti-democracy and anti-capitalism? If you are for political and economic freedom, you oppose Antifa's ideology. It's not correct to say you support Antifa if you support self-rule, voting, and free market voluntary trade.
I'm sure you're skeptical. The deceptive propaganda campaign carried out by the Antifa movement and amplified by the Mafia Media has hidden this fact.

Understanding Antifa’s definition of “Fascism” helps to understand why on inauguration day, Antifa rioted and burned parts of Portland in protest of Biden’s presidency. Why? Because Biden represents democracy, and free market capitalism, just like Trump did. There is no difference between “Trump is fascist” and “Biden is fascist” to these people.
Conflating “Anti-Fascism” with “I don’t like Trump” was a good tactic for generating support in the form of government protection and funding, even though it was intentionally misleading.
So I ask, do you support Antifa using their definition of being against Fascism?
If someone doesn’t support Antifa because they are pro free people and free markets, does that make them a Fascist?

If you are like me, then the most frustrating thing about American politics today is the flat out lies told and supported by the media. Journalists have a special call out in the US Constitution and in today’s episode I’ll highlight where many are dismissing their obligation in favor of a political agenda. Being one who knows history, I know journalists don’t fair well under fascists regimes…we’ll explore a few historical facts and discuss some of the current lies being spread by the folks we pay to read the news.
It seems like as conservatives, we are hanging on every court case announcement with baited breath. Just like election night, we are waiting for the words announcing victory. However, sometimes victory is too elusive, sometimes the odds stacked against you are too great…at some point you have to admit defeat and regroup, train harder, and get back into the contest. While I am not suggesting now is the time to call it quits on the election, in today’s episode, I will give words of preparation and for the possibility. A loss of the White House is not yet a loss of America and you and I have work to do should that truth come to pass. Let’s dig deep in to our patriotic bag of tricks and start thinking like Americans with a plan and not a team who has lost on the battle field.
E074 - Who Said One Man Can Not Make A Difference Against The Government?
Today I am going to tell you a happy story…or at least a story with a happy ending. The lesson in today’s episode is how we, as conservatives, work to make things better in America. I’ll tell you that today’s story is about economic growth and increased prosperity. Today’s story is about overcoming legal adversity in an American manner. Today’s story is about a beer brewer’s ambitions to set out to change the way the beer business is done in Idaho.
Recently I posted a request on my Facebook page for some happy stories I could use on my podcast. Several folks responded and today’s episode is one of those stories. It is from a friend of mine name Russell Mann. Russell started a beer brewery called Bombastic Brewing in Hayden, Idaho. Russell and I are friends from a local organization call the Innovation Collective and just recently Russell and his wife join the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club where I am an active member.
First the Problem statement: a brewery can only sell beer that is made on their premises. In the beer business, as I learned from Russell, there are three tiers to the industry; you have the brewery, the distributor, and the retailer. The way it works is breweries sell to distributors and distributors sell to retailers. Note, that is really over simplified, but for today’s episode it is good as is.
What if a small brewery or a start-up brewery wants to expand business but not make the investment in equipment? Going back to the over simplified three tier system…that would mean the system would need to allow for a brewery to be able to sell to another brewery for the purpose of them selling to a distributor. In the beer industry in Idaho, one brewery selling to another brewery was not allowed—but it was also not expressly disallowed. And therein lies the beginning of our happy story for today!

Chapter 9 Retail Sale of Liquor By The Drink
Idaho has an interesting law when it come to the sale of alcohol; there can only be one bar for every 1,500 residents. According to the math by Thrillist, that means there are around 150 cities in Idaho that can only have a single bar in the town. For Twin Falls, with a population around 50,000, there can only be 33 bars. The law is different for convenience stores selling alcohol.
I am not going to bore you by reading the law, but there are a couple of parts in the exclusions section that I must share to help put some context to today’s episode.
Section 2 reads: Nothing herein contained shall prohibit the issuance of a license to the owner, operator or lessee of an actual bona fide golf course whether located within or without the limits of any city, or located on premises also operated as a winery or ski resort, or to the lessee of any premises situate thereon, whether located within or without the limits of any city.
I share that part of the code because new laws are usually created because someone read the previous law and skirted the law or took advantage of some loophole. The law goes on to define a golf course as:
a golf course shall comprise an actual bona fide golf course, which is regularly used for the playing of the game of golf, and having not less than nine (9) tees, fairways and greens laid out and used in the usual and regular manner of a golf course. Nine (9) hole courses must have a total yardage of at least one thousand (1,000) yards, and eighteen (18) hole courses must have a total yardage of at least two thousand (2,000) yards as measured by totaling the tee-to-green distance of all holes. The course must be planted in grass except that it may provide artificial tee mats.
We can read between the lines I figure that some enterprising entrepreneurs figured a way to setup a Golf Course / Bar & Grill and use miniature golf as the standard. So, Idaho updated the law. But wait…it gets better!
Idaho had to spell out what a Ski Resort was…again, the law reads:
a ski resort shall comprise real property of not less than ten (10) acres in size, exclusive of the terrain used for skiing…they go on to define the building types, and then…for the purpose of this section, a ski resort may also be defined as a downhill ski area, open to the public, comprising real property of not less than two hundred fifty (250) skiable acres, operating two (2) or more chairlifts with a vertical lift of one thousand (1,000) feet or more, and capable of transporting a minimum of one thousand eight hundred (1,800) skiers per hour.
The law goes on like that for a few more pages highlight definitions of the businesses who are excluded from this law…I can only imagine the license inspector who visited the mini golf course, Bar & grill…But officer, the law said excluded Golf Courses!
OK, Back to my friend Russell as the story gets a little deeper, you see at the time of forming his business, Russell read through the Idaho laws covering brewing beer and it did not clarify if contract brewing was allowed, but as I noted earlier, it didn’t forbid it either. Taking a leap of faith (and being an enterprising entrepreneur), Russell started his business with hopes that the law would catch up to the idea.
I feel the need to explain a little about the brewery business from an economic standpoint.
A brewery that ships 100,000 barrels of beer employ 140 people to make said beer. Six brewers that ship 15,000 barrels of beer employ a total of 250 people. Put another way, small breweries employe 60% more people than the big breweries. These numbers come from the Beer Economist called Watson as reported by Craft Brewing Business. Yes, Watson is a real person and yes he really is an economist for the beer industry.
So the question went back to Watson to verify the following statement, “Craft breweries provide a greater economic impact by staying small and local versus scaling up and pursuing large volume growth because a greater number of small, successful breweries creates more jobs.”
Here is what Watson replied:
I’d actually disagree with the “greater economic impact” — the impact of craft brewers isn’t that different than the impact of large brewers in terms of the retail dollar value to total impactWhat craft breweries do is create a different type of economic impact that is more locally focused and more generally dispersed. Large breweries create huge impacts, but those impacts are very concentrated in particular places, and lots of the impact “leaks” outside of where production occurs since profits, re-investments, etc., are often re-directed elsewhere. Craft brewers are going to have an impact that tends to stay more local, and because there are 7,000+, that impact is much more finely distributed all around the country.
In addition, craft breweries are much more labor intensive, so you’re getting a lot more total jobs for the same impact.
OK, Why is all this important, I mean Ed why are we talking so much about beer?
Going back to our golf course, bar, and grill example from earlier, Russell ran headlong into the Idaho law that just said no. They didn’t really give much of a reason why they wouldn’t issue a license. Russell tried really hard to get an explanation of how contract brewing was a violation of Idaho law…but he wasn’t really getting anywhere.
Right about here is where a progressive liberal might start burning down buildings or forming sit-ins, blocking traffic, and starting riots…but as conservatives, we think a bit differently. Rather than trying to use a cudgel to get our way, we find ways to change the law. And that is exactly what Russell did.
Russell joined the Idaho Brewers United Organization. Here is what the IBU website says about their organization:
Idaho Brewers United is a non-profit 501(c)6 trade organization founded in 2012 and is dedicated to the craft beer industry in Idaho. Our efforts are focused on the following areas:Legislative/Regulatory: To give craft brewers a unified voice in addressing all issues, governmental or other, which affect the regulation of our industry.
Education: To provide opportunities for members to further their brewing knowledge and to educate the consumer about Idaho’s craft beer industry, and to encourage responsible, moderate consumption.
Promotion: To promote its members and their products to other brewers, suppliers, legislators, tourists and the general public.
IBU membership includes Idaho craft breweries, breweries-in-planning, associated-industry businesses and craft beer enthusiasts. Members of IBU make-up a dynamic and connected community who support, protect, and promote the craft beer industry across the state and beyond.
When Russell reached out to the organization to talk about how to update Idaho law to allow contract brewing, the organization helped Russell form a legislative committee to lobby congress. They hired professional lobbyists, they crafted language, and then did something rather unique…rather than taking their new language to the capitol to fight for inclusion, they went instead to the enforcement branch of the government to get input on the language.
Again, in those rare cases when liberals do try to change the law, they don’t spend the time to get buy-in from the people impacted or required to enforce the law. Looking at a big example that will be facing all of America in 2021, The Green New Deal. The first stab at implementing the Green New Deal is the Hero’s Act passed by the US House of Representatives. The Hero’s Act is meant to help the American economic weather the coronavirus epidemic, but reading through the 2300 some pages of text you find a lot of Green New Deal language. We’ve covered many of the oddities of this economic stimulus bill that is really an environmental movement in disguise…But I digress. The point I am making here is Congress, currently run by Democrats, did not go out and seek buy-in from the American constituents, nor did they seek buy-in from those who will be required to enforce the new law…they just produced 2300+ pages of law and passed it.
In the real world where Conservatives live, we work together to find common ground and in my interview with Russell in preparation for this story the term common ground must have been mentioned a dozen or more times.

Can you explain the impact of this bill?

Idaho law leaves a lot up to interpretation and contract brewing wasn't in any of the code. We chose to write a bill to define contract brewing so the ability to contract brew was not up to interpretation. Under a contract brewing arrangement, one licensed brewery can produce brew for another licensed brewery. This is great for small brewers who want to brew more but either can't fit any more tanks in their space or would prefer not to invest in more equipment. It's great for brewers who have excess capacity because they can now brew for someone else and use their existing equipment to it's full capabilities. Win/win all around!During the process of discovery, Russell and his committee found some issues that were unique to beer and likely to create some additional and unforeseen issues in the tax law. As I understand it, any brewed beverage with an alcohol content in excess of 5% is taxed as a wine. You can imagine that a new law allowing contract brewing of a product that could contain taxing assessment from two different IRS regulations could case not only a bookkeeping nightmare, but also some angst between the beer and wine industries.
I won’t bore you with the negational details, but here again is a point where the difference between progressive and conservative is plainly visible. Going back to the Heritage Foundations “Three Big Differences Between Conservatives and Progressives”:
Conservatives ask: “What can I do for myself, my family, my community, and my fellow citizens?”
Progressives ask: “What is unfair?” “What am I owed?” “What has offended me today?” “What must my country do for me?”
The traditional American ethic of achievement gives way to the progressive ethic of aggrievement.
As opposed to a variety of individuals making up one American community, progressives seek to place individuals in a variety of competing communities. The first creates unity. The second, identity politics.
So far this story sounds more selfish than community focused…after all is is about a business man who wanted to change the law so he could maximize profits from his business…right? Well, let’s see what else this change in law allowed…and I’ll frame this from the point of view of business during times of a pandemic. This story comes from KIVI TV
Made in Idaho: Common Goal at Western Collective
GARDEN CITY, Idaho — The coronavirus pandemic has changed life for us all, but some things remain. People still want a good beer and it's even better when that good beer is for a good cause.
Western Collective is a brewery member of the trade group Idaho Brewers United, which represents the state's beer makers. Idaho Brewers United partnered with Western Collective to create a common goal, as in Common Goal beer, a name given to the drink created by Western Collective.
"The whole reason we made this beer is because of COVID as a response directly to not being able to fundraise through beer festivals and doing other things for the guild," said Cary Prewitt, owner of Western Collective.
The guild supports brewers around the state through education or changes in legislation and all the money raised through Common Goal goes directly to IBU. The money in turn helps out all breweries, but especially smaller start-ups. The beer is described as fruity, not bitter and clean and crisp.
"It's a good tasty IPA made with a lot of Idaho ingredients, which we like," said Sheila Francis, executive director of Idaho Brewers United.
Idaho's beer-making community is pretty close-knit, what is good for one is good for all.
"We all have the same goal, all the brewers may be in competition in a way," said Francis. "They're all in it together, they like to work together and this is one example of that."
And this first taste of a partnership may not be the last.
"This is the first beer brewed specifically for the guild," said Prewitt. "We worked with breweries around the state to come up with a recipe and had all the ingredients donated to us, which was awesome and all are Idaho sourced as well."
You can find Common Goal at Albertsons and Whole Foods. The beer is also available to-go at Western Collective on 33rd Street in Garden City and at both Boise Co-op locations and Brewers Heaven.
Again, when people work together, solutions to BIG problems can be found. Because of the contract brewing law, now breweries can ban together to raise money for a good cause…in this case to help businesses who are struggling with the coronavirus pandemic. But how big of an impact is COVID-19 having on the craft breweries?
NPR: What Beer Sales Tell Us About The Recession
Here is a quote from an NPR story titled What Beer Sales Tell Us About The Recession.
"You know, we didn't really see craft or imports or super premium lose share in the last recession," he says. That's because, he says, the recession didn't inflict as much pain on the class of people who tend to drink Session IPAs, artisanal Porters, Belgian Lambics and Saison pale ales. Likewise, in this pandemic and recession, craft beer drinkers are more likely to have the luxury of working remotely, keeping their jobs and spending a few extra bucks on beverages with flavor.
Yet, craft breweries are still struggling. The surge of beer sales in stores is driven by the shutdown of bars, restaurants, clubs and sporting venues. And while craft beer might still be doing well in stores, craft breweries, Watson says, get about 40% of their sales from draft beer. With bars, restaurants and their breweries closed, the kegs haven't been flowing. Corporate breweries, meanwhile, "get more like 10% of their revenue from draft beer" and only about 20% from drinking in bars, restaurants, and other public venues, Watson says. "So the shutdown has hit the smallest brews the hardest."
What does it mean for a small business when they can contract out their brewing process? It can make the difference between staying in business or going out of business. Considering craft beers generates $29.3 billion and now accounts for 25% of the $116 billion U.S. beer market…Russells crazy idea to start a beer brewing company by contract out his beer receipts doesn’t seem so crazy after all.
When conservatives see a problem…we work together to fix it. We don’t carry signs and take to the streets. We roll up our sleeves and get to work. Now I think it is time for a beer…but not just any beer, a Bombastic Craft Beer!
E073 - This Did Not Start With Mask Mandates, we have Seat Belt Laws and the Patriot Act To Thank
Right now the debate in America is about the government’s position in the health and safety of Americans by way of mask mandates. This past Thanksgiving governors of democratic run states tried to shut down family get togethers and I am sure they’ll try even harder for Christmas. Is that really the job of government, helping us make the right decision for our individual health and safety? Is this a slippery slope that we should not venture further down? Make no mistake, for over 40 years we’ve been on this slippery slope, the argument over masks have been made and lost time and time again. It is time we take a serious look at our potential future under government rule.
For the happy part of today’s episode, let’s talk about the French
French children a very well behaved. I actually experienced this first hand while stationed in Germany with the 3rd Armored Division Band. I traveled to France numerous times while stationed there and got a chance to spend time with ordinary people. Now I’ve always hated kids…even when I was a kid. But I noticed the kids were well mannered and surprisingly pleasant.
I came across a story in Readers Digest that might explain why. The article is titled “11 Surprising Reasons French Children Are So Well-Behaved“. This is going to sound like totally out of left field considering today’s podcast topic, but trust me, this will make sense when I draw everything together at the end. Here are the 11 reasons readers digest noted:
- They’re allowed to do difficult things themselves
- They are praised sparingly
- They understand adults-only time
- They are taught as infants to sleep early and well
- Fruits and vegetables are their first foods
- They are allowed to suffer sometimes
- They know saying “hello” and polite manners are non-negotiable
- Their moms maintain their personal style and independence
- Treats are actually treats
- Their parents say “no” and mean it
- They don’t see the world as a dangerous, menacing place
Some of the above require further explanation…and I don’t have time to go through them all, I’ll just tackle one of them. For the rest I suggest you visit rd.com and read the entire article.
I want to address the last one, because while so many of the others apply to today’s podcast topic, I think the last one speaks best. Here is the text from the article:
Parenting is probably the most anxiety-provoking job on the planet. Not only are you entrusted with the physical and mental safety of a precariously fragile being, but you’re also responsible for their entire future. Or… maybe not. Maybe this hyper-anxious style of parenting is just making for exhausted parents and anxious kids.
“French parents are very concerned about their kids. They know about pedophiles, allergies, and choking hazards. They take reasonable precautions,” she writes. “But they aren’t panicked about their children’s well-being. This calmer outlook makes them better at both establishing boundaries and giving their kids some autonomy.”
To parallel French parenting, accept that you simply cannot protect your children from every bad thing. Do your best, and then let the rest go. It’s like the toddler version of The Serenity Prayer. In the meantime, try and remember that things weren’t perfectly safe when you were a kid either and you ended up OK. Remember metal slides You lived. And you learned… not to wear shorts on a hot day.
The very important note from this great article is, “They take reasonable precautions.” You notice nowhere in the article does it reference a government mandate or law or restriction.
As a kid, my parents where pretty hands off. My mom was born in 1911 and she went through the depression, two world wars, and all the ills life could throw at her. She had only a 4th grade education and as a child she worked the chuck wagon for her dad in the cold winters of Butte Montana. To call my mom a tough woman would have been a huge understatement.
My dad was younger than my mom, he was born in 1935 in Del Rio, Texas. He was raised worked in the fields and to get away from the manual labor, he played football. He loved football and was what you and I refer to as an intelligent tough guy. My dad blew out his knee while in the army…he had been recruited to play football for the Army…he was a good ball player and was twice named all American and was actively recruited by Texas A&M. But being a proud American, he got scouted by the Army and went to play for them. His football career was cut short though with a horrible knee injury. My dad moved on and went to work for the Post Office and retired as Post Master of the Watsonville, California Post Office. He was a quiet man who was firm in his convictions. He taught me self reliance and rugged independence. He died too soon in my adulthood, I wish we could have had more time together because as a child my dad was not my best friend. I know we would have become best friends later in life, but God had a different plan.
God called my parents early in my adult years and while they were sick in their last years, I was the one they counted on. I knew what to do and had the cognitive reasoning to do it because they empowered me to be independent and encouraged me to develop my mental abilities.
In a lot of ways my parents raised my like the Readers Digest article references. Now that I think of it, I don’t believe either of my parents ever traveled to Europe. While today’s American parents are referred to as helicopter parents, swooping in to help their child and provide for their every need, American parents from early America did things different. I have those lessons in me…I don’t need the government…for anything. I can protect myself and my family. I can provide for myself and my family. I can cook from scratch, hunt and kill what we need for survival. I know how to build shelter and even in my current health situation, I have the ability to get by. I’ve been self employed for 14 years and I’ve never borrowed a single dollar to advance my business. My wife and I keep our bills low and spend lots of time together as best friends…I learned all of these things from my parents. Public school had very little to do with making me who I am today. Sure I learned important lessons in school, but I learned about life from my parents.
Rather than sadness that I didn’t get more time with my parents, I am filled with pride that they prepared me in such a manner that I was equipped to take on the world at a young age. Thank you mom and dad! Note, both of my parents were life long democrats…conservative democrats who voted for Regan.
Conservatism versus Progressivism - Very different views on we the people
Whether it’s the Second Amendment, immigration, or putting limits on abortion, if we the people don’t pass laws progressives approve, they turn to judges, executive orders, and government bureaucrats behind closed doors to overturn the will of voters.
Whatever one may think about the wisdom of hiking the minimum wage, banning plastic straws, or removing controversial historical monuments, conservatives believe voters closest to the issues should be the ones making such decisions for their communities—not lawmakers in Washington or a panel of judges fives states away.
To sum it up, conservatives believe in individual rights, not special rights. Conservatives believe in allowing Texas to be Texas and Vermont to be Vermont. And conservatives believe we the people can vote with our feet about where we want to live and what laws we want to live under.
In the sprit of mandating mask, let’s talk about some other potential mandates—after all it is about saving lives
Democrats, maybe many Republicans too, have learned that when done for public safety sake, the US Constitution is just a guideline. We need not go back too far in history to find where the American government (Republicans and Democrats) have suspended our God given rights because it was for the safety of the American public. The politicians know just how slippery a slope this is, but the American people seem to be oblivious. In today’s episode we will explore the idea of government mandates and their potential impact on the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system
President Bush said the following:
Well, I have obviously made a decision to make sure the economy doesn’t collapse. I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system. I think when people review what’s taken place in the last six months, uh, and put it all in one, in one, (sigh), you know, in one package, they’re realize how significantly we have moved.
So, the idea that the American system of economic could be “abandoned” because the system itself was in jeopardy of collapse. I have a minor in economics and I can say yes, the economic system of America was collapsing. This episode is not about arm chair quarterbacking the President’s decision. He did what he did and we accepted it. But that was not the first time this Republican President abandoned freedom in favor of government control.
The Patriot Act
After 9/11, President Bush was faced with a broken US Intelligence System. The CIA didn’t talk with the FBI and the NSA didn’t talk with anyone…so important details about people who sought commercial jet flying skills, but not commercial jet landing skills, was not passed up to the FBI, who could have investigated. In the wake of the disaster, the Patriot Act was passed. The Patriot Act was created to do the following:
- expanded abilities of law enforcement to surveil, including by tapping domestic and international phones;
- eased interagency communication to allow federal agencies to more effectively use all available resources in counterterrorism efforts; and
- increased penalties for terrorism crimes and an expanded list of activities which would qualify someone to be charged with terrorism.
The second two concepts are obvious, it was the first one that snuck by every America…the part about “…including domestic…” as it pertained to surveillance is the really important part. The creation of a secret court to evaluate these types of case was also an important issue. Again, this episode is not about the merits of the Patriot Act, but the abandonment of liberties for the “safety” of America.
Let’s go aback a little ways and build on this idea a little…I am obviously going to come back to mask mandates and then we’ll take a look at the potential future.
Seat Belt Laws
On January 1, 1968 the first seat belt law went into effect. It was a federal law that required all vehicles (except busses) be fitted with seat belts. Note, the law at that time did not mandate anyone wear them, just that car manufactures had to install them. The law was later change to include a three point seat belt, but the requirement to wear a seat belt was left to the individual states to decide.
On December 1, 1984 the first state level mandatory seat belt law went into effect. Now, all but New Hapshire require all occupants to wear a seat belt. There are variations to the law, but this episode is not about the merits of the law, but about the abandonment of freedoms for safety.
I remember in 1987 when California passed the seat belt law, the notion is wearing a seat belt felt wrong, but everyone told me it was for my safety. Note, I have never been ticketed for not wearing a seat belt, so I obviously wear one…but not because there is a law, but because it just make sense. If my car stops suddenly and I am not strapped in, then my body will continue to move until a surface hard enough to prevent further travel is met. Generally not a healthy proposition.
This is an important note!
Mandatory mask laws
Just recently the Idaho Panhandle Health District created a five county mandate, enforceable by law, that all citizens wear a mask. I must note Idaho is a very conservative state…that is the reason Kay and I moved here…we were very tired of liberal California and Oregon. Heck, at the time when we moved, Idaho didn’t have a law restricting cell phone use while driving. At of June of this year that has been changed…sigh…yet another topic I am going to cover in this episode.
What does seat belt laws, the patriot act, government abandonment of free market principals and even cell phone laws have to do with mask laws? Short answer? Everything! Let’s take a side trip so you can see my point…
Did you know the mortality rate of people climbing mountains is 1.10. Compare that to the mortality rate of COVID-19 at 0.2 and you can see where my confusion resides. The article was done by Researchgate.net.
Did you know that as many as 400,000 people die every year from hospital errors, injuries, accidents, and infections? Heck, one out of every 25 patients develops an infection while in the hospital—an infection that didn’t have to happen.
Did you know 1.35 million people die in road crashes each year and 20-50 million suffer non-fatal injuries, often resulting in long-term disabilities?
Since I want to make this episode famous…let’s grab the BIG one. Did you know in 2018 there were 619,591 legal induced abortions in the United States?
OK, let’s get to some safety mandates…right, it is about safety. We are talking about millions of lives here.
First thing that has to go is mountain climbing. Fat, out of shape people must unite…besides making us look bad by being so fit, these mountain climbers are dying at an alarming rate. We just can not have that. Congress should not delay, they must act.
Since we’ve already passed seat belt laws—for safety—it is obvious American just don’t know how to drive. We must outlaw cars, or at the very least mandate everyone hire a driver with professional credentials. Ooo…I know, let’s get rid of cars and make people ride the bus.
Now I have the admit the hospital death rate is a pretty hard one to mandate our way around. I mean those are the folks who train for a decade or so to keep us healthy. If they are killing 1.35 million people a year, then we might have a problem. BUT, it is for public safety, let’s mandate hospitals must arrest anyone who has an accident that results in the death of an individual and charge them for manslaughter. Maybe some diversity training? Oh, I don’t know. I am just spitballin’ here, how about we fine hospitals and put that money back into a public education program to deter people from going to the dangerous hospitals.
OK, Abortion. This one is easy. I think the Idaho Panhandle Health District needs to write an immediate mandate requiring all couples use a condom unless they plan to get pregnant. Sure, they can ask for federal grant money to provide free condoms to every man, woman, and child in America.
COVID-19 is a real thing. This podcast host is not trying to make light of the pandemic. It is real and people do die from the virus. But the deaths are predictable…I have a heart condition and had trouble breathing on a normal basis…if I caught this thing I would probably succumb to the virus. But I don’t need a government mandate telling me I have to wear a thing to keep me safe. I am an American who will make my own decision and accept the consequences of my decision.
What might the future look like
When did the government get in the business of preventing death? Life is still kind of confusing after almost 53 years, but I have learned that death is certain. None of us are getting out of this thing alive! Suicide is a tragic loss, but outlawing suicide has never made any sense to me…how do you convict a dead person? Callous of me? Maybe, but go with me for a moment. If government had the power to delay death if only by power of mandate, then for the potential benefit to society any particular individual might bring society it would be worth it…right? No, but that is the argument progressives make. Here is how it works.
The person who dies needlessly today might invent the cure for cancer tomorrow. We need to save people from the bad decisions of a moment so that the collective intelligence might find the cure for societies ills.
I did not make up that statement…I once asked a California Congressman the question about seat belt laws and the logic behind creating them. The above was his answer. That congressman went on to become White House Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton, Director of the CIA under Obama and then ultimately Secretary of Defense under Obama…of course I am talking about Leon Panetta. While in High School, my civics class took a field trip to Sacramento and I had the good fortune of having lunch with Mr Panetta, along with eight of my classmates. I sat right next to Leon, so he couldn’t really ignore my question.
Let’s look at Mr Panetta’s answer and see where a progressive cabinet compiled by President Joe Biden might go with it.
Future mandates
Right now some of you might be screaming…don’t give them any ideas! These ideas are not new, I am not breaking any ground here…just making public the ideas they already have in the hopper.
Since we are saving lives.
A mandate to remove guns from society is an obvious first step. Leaders from the past have done this…you know, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Chavez…they all took guns away from their citizens.
A mandate to eliminate fossil fuels is obvious. Carbon emissions kill trees which decrease oxygen which leads to the death of people like me who already struggle to breath. I don’t think they could just come right out an outlaw cars, they would probably start by requiring manufactures build cars that get a certain gas milage and then ratchet things up so old cars have to be recycled and replaced by a certain date, and then require everyone walk, ride a bike, or take an electric bus…just think about the exercise opportunities…
Speaking of exercise, that would be an obvious mandate. How about this, before the work day starts, the government should mandate people do 30 minutes of calisthenics. You know, get the heart pumping and the brain engaged. With more engaged brains I am sure the cure for cancer is just around the corner.
To prevent people from getting fat in the first place, restaurants should not be allowed to sell food cooked in trans-fatty oils. They also shouldn’t be allowed to serve large surgery soft drinks.
Next let’s change school lunches so kids eat healthier foods. Instead of pizza day, we should do steamed eggplant days.
You know people in places like Seattle, San Francisco, and New York can not afford a place to live…we should require business to pay people more money. After all, living on the streets is dangerous.
You see, these types of decisions can be made from Washington DC, they know best and are far from the emotions of the day to day life that would otherwise detract leaders from doing what is best for society. After all, the cure for cancer is right there…in the mind of someone…just waiting to be let out. Oh and for Gods sake, my body my choice when it comes to abortion!
Conclusion
This podcast is very long, but very important…I couldn’t cut it down to my usually 20 minutes. If there was any topic I feel we conservatives must cover, it is the one about individual determination. The difference is seen in people who seek to move to the big city.
Big city type people don’t have the free space to roam, they vacation at that spots. As a result, they don’t have self reliance as a core competency. Ducks and deer don’t roam about their neighborhood. Besides the squirrel and pigeon, the city dweller couldn’t feed themselves off the land around them. It is all asphalt and concrete. This type of person only knows government aid when in a tight spot. Independence is being conditioned out of them.
My parents, and your ancestors, moved west to tame the wild country and make a space they can call their own. Kids today don’t seek the independence of open space, they desire the hustle and bustle of the city life. I have friends who have businesses designed to capitalize on this notion where high density city dwelling is the norm. Self contained apartments complexes with all the life amenities that people coddled since birth crave.
It is no surprise those who crave coddling also crave government edicts. They are not comfortable depriving themselves of all that life has to offer because they might have a susceptibility to a virus. They would rather big brother slap down rules and laws to force those they choose to shelter in close proximity to mask up and take precautions.
America is losing the independence that 400 years ago drove the Pilgrams to the new promise land. We are allowing those we pay for subscriptions to brow beat up into submission. Yes, the media is supported by your dollar. They do not receive government hand outs, they receive advertising and subscription dollars. You and I are paying for the celebration of the government abuse. Where would mask mandates be today if the media didn’t agree?
To the people who desire participation trophies, mask mandates are as natural as the formica counter top where they made their store bought peanut butter and jelly sandwich on white bread.
Can you hear the choir singing “My eyes save seen the glory...”? Can you hear the trumpets blowing “ta ta da da”? Can you see the happy people congregating in the neighborhoods? Can you feel the pride of patriotism? No, neither can I. All I see on the news is death, destruction, and despair. So why are they using cardboard to prevent transparency of the vote counting process? Today, we'll dive in a little into the election, and talk about what an American Conservative can do about it. Welcome to the conservatives guide to American politics. My name is Ed Bejarana. And I am an otherwise happy go lucky conservative who enjoys life in North Idaho with his wife and two golden retrievers. For all intents and purposes, I keep to myself and think your folks should live and let them you know, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. But I am frustrated watching the news. All I really tune in to see is the weather and maybe some local interest stories. But most of what they show me is their political biases socialistic tendencies, the American media is no longer neutral. Instead, they use their megaphone to influence political power. The ideals of America have been hijacked by people who otherwise dislike or hate American ideology. I started this podcast as my way to fight back from my little slice of America. Call it a rallying cry for other common sense conservatives to arm themselves against the onslaught of negativity. It is time the America hating progressives hear from the silent majority. It is time for conservatives to stand up and be heard.

Right about now, you were saying to your podcast player, Ed, you said you were not going to bemoan the election. What's the deal? I know. And I am not going to bemoan the election. The process of challenging the results of the election are well underway. And I will reserve judgment on the event until all the facts are in. No. today. I'm going to talk about hypocrisy, and more importantly, what we should be doing about it. Before I dive into the election transparency, let's take a little side trip down the intimidation road. Well, well back the truck up intimidation. What the heck does intimidation have to do with the 2020 presidential election? There was no proof of pole place intimidation. Nobody was afraid to get out and vote. What the heck? Well give me a few minutes to unpack all of this and see if you don't see the connections. A first shout out to our listeners. Several months ago, mobs of people took to the streets and painted super oversized letters on American streets reading Black Lives Matter. How did they get a permit to do this? Those are public streets paid for by tax dollars. You and I are not allowed to erect a sign on public property reading. vote for Donald Trump. If we tried, we'd be arrested for trespassing, misuse of public property and illegal campaigning is just not allowed on public taxpayer property. So how did BLM get away with it? Well, because they are bullies. They intimidated city, county and state officials and those officials caved to the pressure. After all, if BLM does not get what they want, they burn things down.

Okay, stay with me for just another minute or two. On Wednesday, the fourth, a federal judge ordered poll watchers to be allowed to observe the vote counting process. The Board of Elections and the sheriff and several Pennsylvania counties said no. Okay, let's let's stop right there. And imagine what might have happened if registered poll watchers would have taken their cue from BLM. If it were BLM being held back from something they want, they would throw things beat people up and possibly burn down the building. What did the registered poll watchers do? They went back to court to get further explanation. hours later, the judge issued a follow up order and the poll watchers must be allowed in. So the Board of Elections allowed poll watchers in but kept them back dozens to hundreds of feet away from the vote counting process. Okay, I think you get the idea. As conservatives, we are not very intimidating. As November 3 proved, our numbers are more than 71 million strong. But the progressives hell bent on taking power are not intimidated by our numbers. I've been in a few fights in my life, but only once were there more than two people fighting. During college. I worked at a video rental store in Santa Cruz, California. Being newly married. I didn't go out with the boys much. This was one night I did. We were at the club listening to music, drinking and having fun. My friend was a pretty cocky sob. Honestly, for the life of me, I don't remember his name doesn't matter. He was a lacrosse player at UCSC. He wasn't a very big guy. But he was fast and very sure of himself. mixing some alcohol and presto, we have a jerk. There were some football players at the bar. So my friend decided it would be fun to talk smack. These big guys got mad and started taking a swings. The bouncers immediately swooped in and moved all of us outside. There was me my friend and one other guy against four or five big football players. All right, I have to qualify. It was UCSC they're not that big, but they're bigger than us. Anyway, these are not good odds. My friend ratcheted up his smack, and one of the big guys took a swing. He missed and my friend popped up with a weak jab. I need to inject something here. So far, I have not set a thing. I just wanted to sit at the bar smoked by SIG and drink my drink and have fun. And now I'm standing next to a little guy who just popped the big guy in the face. The next thing that happened was totally expect the big guys friends to game at me and the other guy next to me at this point in my life I I don't think I could hold my own in a barroom fight. Have a bad heart condition and a pacemaker that prevents my heart from beating too fast. I would double over out of breath just thinking about defending myself. But 30 years ago, I was pretty scrappy. Still, I didn't want to fight. I hate bruises and cuts, all the aches that come from getting hit in the head. I backed up and started to talk my way out of the beaten. My friend, the smack talker is now running backwards giving the big guy hell saying, see, I'm running backwards and you still can't catch me. It distracted my attacker just long enough for me to make a calculation. I no way could have outrun my foe, and my odds in a fair fight or not good. Tech, he had been by 60 pounds of muscle. I had a beer bottle in my hand. So I did the only thing I could think of in short order. I broke the bottle and moved forward against my attacker 30 years in hindsight, it wasn't a good move. Not because I might have gotten hurt. I had just gotten out of the army. And I was pretty confident I could have killed my attacker if needed. All right, I have to be honest, I was in the Army Band. I was not a warrior. I didn't train to kill, except during basic. my military service was spent playing music and flirting with German women. However, I did have hand to hand combat training and no initiative more often than not wins the battle.

So getting back to my attacker, the idea of confronting some guy with bottle gave him pause. He held up his hands and backed up so I backed up and vacated the area. The big friends did not pursue me. I was in the clear. However, I was watching my butthead friend run backwards down the middle of the street with a big linebacker in hot pursuit. I figured my friend would trip and fall and well that would be that I turned around a left. What is the connection to my podcast topic? intimidation, kept me out of fight. I'll be honest, it prevented me from getting my ass beat. Blm used intimidation because they know folks like you and I prefer to walk away and live another day. It worked. We walked away and gave them the playing field. Okay, so back to the election. Democrats in Congress and every major media outlet demanded better election protections. They tried to impeach the president because they felt he colluded with the Russians to steal the election. They demanded with a very loud, full voice demanding transparency in the 2020 election. So why did they the democrats running the vote counting process at all of the states with contested votes want to prevent election transparency? Because you and I are not very intimidating because neither you or I have broken the proverbial bottle and stepped forward to defend ourselves by threatening our attackers. The only people doing the intimidating in this equation are the Democrats, progressives, BLM and Tifa the people running the vote counting operations. Okay, Twitter is doing a lot of intimidating Facebook too. They blocked you and I from posting updates on our feelings and rallying friends to the cause. Now going back four or five episodes, you'll remember, I argued Twitter and Facebook have every right to do with their platforms what they wish. I also said we need to change section 230 and force these companies to make a decision to keep prosecutorial immunity or publishing rights one or the other. But that was discussed pretty well in those episodes. So I'll stick to the intimidation part of the story today. How do we intimidate multi billion dollar companies? Well, you don't those companies are too big. No, you hurt Twitter and Facebook by intimidating the companies who buy advertising on those platforms. They just public record who advertises on Google Twitter and Facebook, or at least it's pretty easy to make a list. Those companies should be boycotted to prevent them from giving money to Google Twitter and Facebook to buy advertising. Not possible you say, tell me about the 2020 football season. Didn't the NBA lose more than a billion dollars in revenue isn't NASCAR bleeding fans? You and I have incredible power. We have American dollars, we have spending power, our combined income is over $42 billion. Our net worth is measured in the hundreds of billions. When we look at property values, 401, K's college funds, etc. Sure, boycotts are inconvenient. But so is socialism. Why is it that so many people voted for Joe Biden? over 75 million? If you believe the numbers, I'll say at least 70 million and and make the same point? Why are so many people supporting someone who wants to increase taxes, stop production of fossil flute fuels, and add so many regulations that most manufacturing jobs move to another country? Because you and I are not pushing back on our friends and family.

Get this. My wife has several friends who sing in the sweet adelines organization. Both Kay and I were very active barbershop singers for decades. We love to sing I still do. But the body doesn't allow it so much. The women in my wife's course used to gang up on K and say horrible things about our politics. Just because k supported President Bush. That is intimidation. Why are we not doing the exact same thing to liberals? Because we want to get along and not make waves. But wait a minute, these liberal friends of ours are calling you names, and they're not holding back any insult? Why are they your friends? I have nearly the maximum number of allowable friends on Facebook, which is 5000. I keep my friend count around 4990. So I always have room to add new people. Now some of the people in my friends list are very good friends and important to me. Many of you are listening to me right now. Thank you. You meet a lot in my life. The others? Not so much. You're an acquaintance at best. We don't hang out. We've never had a drink together. If someone in my Facebook friends list started spouting off hate. I'd unfriend them and move on. Why do I do this? Why not try to convert these people? Well, because on Facebook, they are on convertible. Okay, try this one. Have you ever read anything on Facebook to change your core belief system? Get it? Facebook is not a platform to change hearts and minds. Facebook is a place to plant seeds. If someone is so toxic that they spew hatred, then their soil is spoiled and not worth the expense of your seed. find different dirt. Okay, this part hits really close to home. I was adopted at birth. My parents, the real ones who raised me, never hid the fact that I was adopted. They even offered to give me information about my biological parents whenever I wanted. While the idea intrigued me. I never pulled that trigger. Sure, I I wondered what it would be like to meet my biological parents. But I quickly dismissed the notion because I loved my parents and didn't need to find new ones. I used to joke and say I have two perfectly good parents. Well, I don't need to go seek new ones. As life progressed, I realized that I would need some family health history. I thought once about hiring a private investigator, but honestly it wasn't important enough at the time. So I didn't. Then one day the inevitable happened. My parents passed away. And I was facing my adoption paperwork. My biological family name is Jacobs. My mother was named Luis and I had an uncle Thomas and all the information on my mother's side of the family. Nothing from my father's side. I had a social security number. I knew it would would be very easy for an investigator to find, but rather I took the genealogy.com and posted in the Jacobs family tree. A few years later, I got a phone call and proof. I met my biological mother and learned I had a younger brother and sister. My wife and I flew to Buffalo, New York to meet the family. That was almost 20 years ago. After Our first meeting is my wife and I were sitting in the first class section of the airplane waiting for everyone to board. She turned to me and she asked what I thought of the family. I answered, I got the better end of the deal. I should do a podcast on this experience. But for today, all that is important to know is I never really connected with my mother brothers sister or their families. We were all connected on Facebook and we we'd exchange pleasantries from time to time. But honestly, I was horrible at calling. I mean, we have nothing in common, and I felt uncomfortable talking about the things they liked. So I never called one day not so long back, my niece from my brother's side, posted a pro BLM message on Facebook. I asked a question about her supporting some of the radical things BLM stood for? I referenced something from BLM website and figured we'd have a fun little conversation.

What I got was intimidation first from my sister, then my mother, how could I question my niece. After all, she was very smart and just sowing her oats. I said my piece and disconnected from the family, extreme, maybe. But this story is an example of the reverse intimidation, we must employ if we are going to save our country. My niece, mother and sister are supporting the idea of changing America into a socialist nation. They believe I am racist because of who I vote for. They think I am evil, because I am one of those rich business owners. If they can say things about me, why shouldn't I push back and kind? Why should you and I allow these folks to dictate our behavior while trying to hold us hostage by intimidation, intimidation. Sure, if you don't allow them to speak, then they will withhold their love against you. Your child might keep your grandchild from you. Your mother might withhold her love. Your niece might not ask for money for college. Wait, the last one is a good thing. It is not comfortable to push back on family. In my case, it was easy because these folks were not people I grew up with. They were really not much more than friends on Facebook. That's harsh. But I don't need negativity in my life. I have hundreds of people who love me and are close friends. I have no shortage of people who care for me. I don't need to hold on to people who hate me and my country. By my separating from them, I am giving back the same level of intimidation. More so when you think it was only a matter of time before someone asked for money. On Tuesday, I challenged you to think how far you would go to defend America. Are you ready to go to war against fellow Americans? I said I was not. In this episode I am asking if you are willing to separate from family in defense of America. Just like the people counting the votes in Pennsylvania, political transparency is a must. You must push back on those who push against you. When that crazy uncle called you a racist because you voted for Trump asked him if he plans on killing millions of Americans like communists before him did. If mom lays on a guilt trip because you gave money to a republican running for office. ask her why she is comfortable with pedophiles roaming the halls of Congress. It is only by asking uncomfortable questions that force people to take a position that the battle lines can be drawn. When facing an unmovable force, remove it from your life do not tolerate bullies beating you up for your political ideology. What kind of mother would do that? anyway? Right about the time California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho polls were closing; it looked all but certain President Trump was going to win. By 1am, that picture had completely changed. By noon the next day it was clear Biden was going to be declared the winner. So what does this mean for the 68 million conservative Americans who turned out to vote for President Trump? Then image and perception became very important. To progressive party (maybe I should call them the Democratic Fascist Party of America) are working over time to hide important information from you. The scary this is they are doing it right under your nose. Today’s we’ll look at three seemingly unrelated stories from the news and see how they play together in a strategy that could only be orchestrated from some central information center.
In today's episode I explore the reasons why Trump uses Twitter and the beat down tactics he uses, but do so from a personal perspective. We explore the media's role in the making of current political discorse. Finally, we also explore the solution to the current division in Washington DC and political chambers all across America.
The story in the New York Post about Joe Biden’s son Hunter raised a lot of questions about censorship. In Tuesday’s episode I shared my views on censorship as the law is currently written and my suggestions on what we, as consumers, should do about it. In that article I referenced the fact that I had not yet tested Facebook’s censorship process so I didn’t comment on their action…today I had facts and figures. We’ll discuss what Facebook is doing versus what Twitter is doing and see the next level evil coming out of Facebook.
In an email to Fox News on Wednesday evening, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey addressed the controversy surrounding actions the company took to block the spread of a New York Post article critical of Hunter Biden, calling them "unacceptable." Oh, OK. I guess that makes it all better. Right? In today’s episode I am going to explain why Jack’s explanation is actually a good thing.
Ok, the punchline use to be their lips are moving, but we are well past that now. Now, if the main stream media is singing your praises, then you are lying. Today’s episode explores a few campaign promises that highlights this fact and exposes the media for the PR arm of the Democratic Party.
The President and the Coronavirus task force worked hard to prepare the American medical system to combat COVID-19. With the recent virus contraction by the President and many in his administration, the successful efforts of the task force is on full display for all to see. The left and media super dudes are livid over the President recovering so quickly and sharing words of hope and optimism for America. In today’s episode we will explore the politics of our nation’s President contracting COVID-19 and what it will mean at the ballot box on 25 days.
I suspect most American’s have little concern with who is nominated to the US Supreme Court. If you ask 10 American’s to name all nine justices that maybe 1 in 10 could name more than just a few. Since politicians are elected by majority vote, why then are the Democrats going all out to attack people a republican nominates for the court? OK, that is a rhetorical question because the answer is simple…Democrats choose to legislate from the Supreme Court. Roe v. Wade proved the court could enact laws politicians are too afraid the write. So, in short, Democrats are worry about conservatives on the Supreme Court because that takes away their most powerful legislative branch of government. In today’s episode, we’ll avoid the normal accolades deserved by someone like Judge Barret and instead focus on the process and the media’s failure to perform their constitutional duty.
I also touch briefly on President Trump contracting COVID-19 and what that means to Democrats and what we, as conservatives, should do about it.
I watched every second of the debate, but then turned off the TV immediately after—not because I felt President Trump did poorly, no I think he did exactly what he needed to do…I turned off the TV because main stream media does not, or will not, understand how politics in the time of Trump works.
In this special episode I will explore Tuesday evenings debate, not from a blow by blow perspective, but how America’s political system works. Rather than pick apart things Biden said or Trump said, or for that matter, what the so called moderator Chris Wallace said…I am going to highlight how Trumps performance at the first debate will propel him to victory in November.

The media is hell-bent on blaming President Trump for the riots now plaguing our biggest cities. From my points of view:
The President didn’t put his knee on the neck of George Floyd.
The President didn’t delay arresting the officer for almost a week.
The President didn’t opt to allow protesters to destroy police precinct number 3 in Minneapolis.
The President didn’t encourage thugs to break-in to Target and steal stuff.
Yet, the media is working overtime to lay blame for the entire episode at the President’s feet. The only, and best, argument the media has is the buck stops with the leader at the top.

I thought long and hard about this week’s topic and ended up writing seven different episodes based on news of the week. But I kept returning to the notion of mass population control. Mankind is basically evil. Ok, that might sound a bit harsh. But ask a Progressive and they’ll say mankind is basically good. I mean why else are they working so hard to eliminate prosecution of petty crime and low-level drug offenses? In California, during this time of national crisis, people are stealing groceries from store shelves in full view of store clerks and security guards—and the crooks are walking out un-molested.

In college, I confronted a professor when she openly lied about President Bush’s position on Muslims. Since I was an older student and she was a graduate student, I won the exchange. She did not dare challenge me. Of course, I told her in a one on one conversation that I had the means to sue her into oblivion if she screwed around with my grade or treated me at all unfair. I received an A-minus from the class...this was almost 20 years ago...how many students today could get away with what I did?
In today’s episode, we’ll explore the words of a millennial who gets it. And then see if we can determine who started us down this path of hate America and all things she stands for. Edmund Burke once wrote, “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they may fail one by one…”. Those who hate America are building their ranks, and we must grow our ranks too. The essay I am about to read to you has been attributed to Andy Rooney and also to Paul Harvey. While both men over their decades-long careers said bits and pieces of the essay, neither man actually wrote the piece. The closet attribution is to a gent named Nick Gholson in a column he wrote about prayer at football games back in 1999. However, even his version is not close to word for word of what I am about to read. So why am I going to read it?
The progressive liberals use the mis-attribution as grounds to impeach the entire sentiment. If the attribution is wrong, then the essay has no meaning. Well, back in 1998, Paul Harvey read an open letter from God and in it, he read about attribution for the authors of the Bible. Does the fact that Paul wasn’t actually reading a letter from God or that man and not God wrote the Bible mean the lessons from the Bible are wrong or that God himself doesn’t exist? In today’s episode I will argue that this is exactly the point of the Progressive dogma, but first, the mis-attributed essay:
They couldn’t possibly be serious. Those are just campaign lies every politician said to get the nomination. Once they get past the convention, they’ll race to the middle and govern based on the ideals of Freedom and Liberty. In today’s episode, we are going to look at promises from the folks running to secure the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. We’ll take a brief stroll through history and see how other presidential candidates made wild promises and what came of those ideas and compare to the crazy stuff being championed by mainstream media today. Rule number 11 of Rules for Radicals reads “If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.” Today I will highlight how Liberals and the mainstream media use language to apply this pressure all with the hopes of getting to the counterside of the discussion. The media relishes the idea of making the President look bad and will go to the extreme to seek out bad from what is otherwise normal news. When they can’t find the smoking gun, the media will use tactics to get people to generate more news to feed the narrative. Don’t believe me? Just listen to these stories and judge for yourself. By the end of this episode, I will share with you the secret for defeating the liberal dogma.
