Holy Week: Good Friday
It looked like the end, but it was just the beginning. Matthew 27 Jesus was betrayed, tried, crucified, and laid in a tomb. He gave His life for ours.
Holy Week: Thursday (Maundy Thursday)
Jesus shared the Last Supper and gave a new command—to love one another. Luke 22:7–38; John 13 Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, instituted Communion, and prayed in Gethsemane.
Holy Week: Tuesday
Jesus taught in the temple and spoke truth with boldness. Matthew 21:23–24:51 Jesus taught parables, challenged religious leaders, and foretold the destruction of the temple and signs of the end.
Holy Week: Monday
Jesus cleansed the temple and cleared the way for true worship. Matthew 21:12–17 What happened: Jesus drove out the money changers from the temple, declaring it should be a house of prayer.
Feeling stuck is a common experience that many of us face at different points in our lives. Whether it's due to financial burdens, health issues, relationship struggles, or mental health challenges, the sensation of being trapped can be overwhelming. However, it's crucial to remember that God is always present, ready to help us navigate through these difficult times. The enemy often tries to convince us that we are alone and abandoned, but this is far from the truth. God is with us, and He desires for us to live an abundant life, free from the chains that hold us back.
To move forward, we must first acknowledge our situation. Admitting that we are stuck is not a sign of weakness but an act of humility and accountability. It opens the door for God's intervention and allows us to begin the healing process. Once we recognize our need for help, we must trust God and take a step of faith. Trusting God means believing in His plan, even when the path is unclear. It requires us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the unknown, knowing that God will equip us with everything we need.
Fear and doubt are powerful tools that the enemy uses to keep us immobilized. They whisper lies that we are not capable or worthy, but God tells us otherwise. He has given us the tools to overcome these obstacles, and by putting on the armor of God, we can stand firm against the enemy's attacks. Letting go of fear and doubt makes room for faith and hope, allowing us to move forward with confidence.
In this journey, it's important to remember that we are not alone. God is always with us, guiding and providing for us. He is the way maker, the promise keeper, and the miracle worker. By putting our faith into action, we can get unstuck and step into the life that God has prepared for us. It's time to get off the broken escalator and take a step forward.
In today's gathering, we explored the theme of "critical crossings" through the lens of Joshua's leadership as the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land. This moment was not just a physical crossing but a significant spiritual transition, marking a new chapter for the Israelites. We reflected on the importance of these pivotal moments in our lives, asking the question, "So now what?" This question can arise after both triumphs and trials, prompting us to consider our next steps and how we transition into new seasons.
Joshua's story teaches us the necessity of embracing pauses in our lives. These pauses are not meant to frustrate us but to prepare us for what lies ahead. Just as Joshua and the Israelites camped by the Jordan for three days, we too must use our waiting periods for preparation, ensuring we are ready for the opportunities God has prepared for us.
We also discussed the importance of mentorship and following God's guidance. Joshua's relationship with Moses exemplifies the value of learning from those who have walked the path before us. God provides direction, even when we feel unworthy or uncertain, reminding us that our past does not disqualify us from His promises.
Taking the first step is crucial. God often requires us to move in faith before He performs a miracle. The Israelites had to step into the Jordan before the waters parted, teaching us that action is often required on our part to see God's promises fulfilled.
Finally, we considered the significance of remembering and testifying. The stones carried from the Jordan served as a memorial for future generations, reminding them of God's faithfulness. Our testimonies of God's work in our lives not only honor Him but also encourage others.
In today's gathering, we explored the theme "Be Fruitful Now," drawing from Mark 11, where Jesus encounters a fig tree that appears fruitful but is barren upon closer inspection. This narrative serves as a powerful metaphor for our spiritual lives, urging us to examine whether we are truly bearing fruit or merely giving the appearance of fruitfulness. Jesus' expectation of the fig tree to bear fruit, despite it not being the season, highlights God's call for us to live fruitful lives regardless of our circumstances. Our faith should be evident in our actions, not just in our appearances.
We delved into the importance of producing spiritual fruit, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23, which lists the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are the markers of a life rooted in Christ. The fig tree's withering after Jesus' curse serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of fruitlessness. It underscores that a lack of spiritual fruit indicates a disconnect from the life-giving source, which is God.
The sermon also emphasized the necessity of remaining connected to God, the true vine, as described in John 15. Our ability to bear fruit is contingent upon our relationship with Him. Without this connection, our efforts are in vain. We are encouraged to engage in self-examination, allowing God to prune areas of our lives that hinder fruitfulness. This process, though sometimes painful, is essential for spiritual growth and effectiveness in our mission to spread the gospel.
Ultimately, the call is to move beyond mere appearances and to cultivate a deep, authentic relationship with Christ that results in tangible spiritual fruit. This is not just for our benefit but for the glory of God and the expansion of His kingdom.
Today, we explored the profound influence of humility through the life of David, a central figure in the Bible.
David's story is rich with lessons on how humility before God can transform us into powerful influencers in our society.
We began by acknowledging our need for God's wisdom over our own preconceived notions. This sets the stage for understanding David's influence, which stemmed from his humility and brokenness before God.
David's life offers multiple facets to examine: the shepherd, the warrior, the worshiper, and the king. Each role he played was marked by his deep reliance on God. His humility was evident in his willingness to repent quickly when he failed, his refusal to develop a prideful heart, and his steadfast trust in God's promises over his own plans. David's humility allowed him to influence not just his immediate circle but entire nations and generations.
We delved into three key aspects of humility that made David an influencer. First, he never developed a prideful heart, always giving glory to God. Second, he was quick to repent when he failed, understanding that a humble heart is fertile ground for the Holy Spirit. Third, he trusted in God's promises rather than seeking his own plans, demonstrating a deep faith that God’s grace is sufficient in all circumstances.
We concluded by drawing parallels between David and the Apostle Paul, who also exemplified humility. Paul’s teachings in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 resonate with David’s life, emphasizing that God's power is made perfect in our weakness. This humility and reliance on God’s grace are what make us capable of influencing others for His kingdom.
Today, we explored the theme "Tear Off the Roof," inspired by the story in Mark 2:1-12, where four friends went to extraordinary lengths to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus. This narrative serves as a powerful reminder that Jesus is all we need, no matter the obstacles we face. We discussed how life's distractions and barriers often stand in the way of our relationship with God, but with faith and determination, we can overcome them. The friends in the story didn't let the crowded house deter them; they got uncomfortable, tore off the roof, and lowered their friend to Jesus, demonstrating that sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zones to experience God's presence fully.
We also emphasized the importance of faith, both personal and communal. The paralyzed man's healing was a direct result of the collective faith of his friends. This teaches us that our community and the people we surround ourselves with significantly impact our spiritual journey. Moreover, when Jesus speaks healing and blessings over us, we must receive and believe without doubt. Our testimony of God's work in our lives is crucial for witnessing to others, showing them the transformative power of God's grace.
As we prepare for the new school year, especially our students, we are reminded to stay focused on our relationship with God despite the distractions and challenges we may face. We are called to live a "roofless" life, where our faith knows no bounds, and we are willing to do whatever it takes to get into God's presence and bring others along with us. Let's commit to sharing our testimonies and being bold in our faith, knowing that Jesus is all we need.

In this life we are continuously pursuing our happiness, but what our soul desires is joy. Pastor Phil speaks on The Pursuit of Happiness.
In today's society, happiness seems to be more and more elusive. Almost like it's being held hostage! Explore this happiness crisis with Pastor Chad as we engage the negotiations and learn what may be holding our happiness hostage. Then discover the steps we can use to take it back!
We live in an unhappy world. There is a sense of desperation and anxiety being born in America today. A spirit of gloom and doom and it will invade the church if we let it. God has a formula for happiness that you can receive.
Has numbness and complacency crept into your spiritual walk? God has called and equipped each believer to abundant life that is found only in Him!
Our lives are a collection of moments - some seemingly insignificant, some more powerful and pronounced. Given the recent events of our city and in honor of Memorial Day, Pastor Chad is going to take us on a journey through Joshua chapter 4 where God will reveal to us the power of "marking our moments." Any given Sunday God can change everything - maybe this is your "moment"!? Check out "Marking Your Moments" and experience what God has for you.
We head back to the series "The Journey." Part II: Beginning In God. We are all on a Journey, in which there are four levels; four different groups of people in the church. In Part I we took a look at the group that is still exploring God. Beginning in God is the next step of the Journey. This happens when one accepts Jesus as their personal Savior. It is by grace and it begins the growth process that will bring the believer into a closer relationship with the Lord.
Who doesn't love a buy one get one free sale!? In today's message, Pastor Chad focuses in on a time when Jesus performed two miracles in one sitting. During these two interconnected encounters, Jesus shows us the importance of being intentional when we come into His presence and He demonstrates the power of a personal touch! How it can not only fix currently broken things, but completely restore lost things from the past. All of this plus a very special word from God for those who are suffering from the emotional fall outs of sexual or physical abuse.
We are on a journey through our relationship with the Lord. Pastor Joe Skiles begins a series explaining the different areas of this journey. The first sermon focuses on the first group, which are those that are exploring God. This journey focuses on growing in the Lord. We continue to grow through this life, when we stop growing is when we begin to fall backwards. Pastor preaches on how to grow through the different groups of this journey.

We are the salt of the earth. What does it mean to be salt? Salt has many significant abilities. It is a toughening agent, but it can also adds flavor. However, it is not just enough for us to sparkle or add zest. Pastor Skiles hits home on being intentional with this next sermon in our series "I'm In".
We are included, which means that we also need to include. The story of the prodigal son is more than just the story of a father's son that takes his inheritance and wastes it all on worldly living, but then turns back home when he realizes how much better off even the servants had it at his father's home than the situation he was in. This story shows a father who has an unconditional love for his son. He was willing to include his son even though his son had once gave up what he had with his father. Listen as Pastor Keller preaches on this love that our heavenly Father has for us and how we are to reflect that in our own lives.
Our actions and our attitudes should draw people towards God, not repel them away. We should be both inviting and inviting. Watch this sermon as Pastor Chad dives into what exactly this means.

We are not the same. We all have been created uniquely. Each of us has our own specific skill-set, but we all are working together. We are the body, Christ is the head. So start right where you are, dream big, and give it your best shot. When you've done your best, God will take care of the rest. We are all in this together, so remember, this is not a solo act.
The enemy tries to block us in so that we can never get beyond where we are right now. That we cannot overcome limitations that get in our way. This is because he knows that God has a plan for our lives. The enemy will do whatever he can to destroy our faith because he doesn't want us to experience real life. But if we will allow Jesus to live through us we will experience true life. Only Jesus can remove the stone that has kept you trapped away from the life that He has for you.
The Lord has kept you in order to fulfill His purpose and His will for you. He kept you before you asked Him into your life and decided to serve Him. God has chosen us to carry out many of the Kingdom tasks. He wants to use us and has fully equipped us in order that we may accomplish His will for our lives.
