All Creation acts according to the Law, for Law is the essence of God; it is the Great God above All Other gods. Light and darkness interact within the Law, and by the power of the Law, the children of God are raised up to Everlasting Life, or, if they reject the means of salvation when they have clearly seen it, they are immersed in Eternal darkness by the same power of the Law.
Those who are anxious to progress in the divine life, will not neglect the more private exercises of piety, without which those of the sanctuary will be in a great measure ineffectual. Prayer is the believer's vital breath; the scriptures are his spiritual food; and it is only as the study of their sacred truths is combined with fervent supplication for every promised grace, that his course will correspond with the beautiful representation, in which the path of the just is compared to the shining light—which shines more and more unto the perfect day.
Religion and sin can only be removed from one's life when they Look to Jesus. Your failures and fears, shortcomings and disappointments are made useless in Him Who loves you. Listen and be Blessed
