"Benzos" is an original song about the antidepressant family know as "Benzodiazepines." They are commonly prescribed, but as a narcotic, they are easy to abuse and very difficult to stop. Although I've taken a "Benzo" for years, by the grace of God I haven't abused them beyond my prescribed amount. This song goes out to many that I've met in my journey who have benefited and been frustrated by Benzodiazepines. #creatorsdesignmusic
"Stirred" is an R&B/Rock fusion original song with poignant lyrics, great guitar soloing by Terry Korsmo, and blend of techno with live guitar.
Lyrics: V1 When the hue of my view has grown dull and fades Pigment lost in the dross so my spirit jades Color thin in the tin of paint long ignored Blunted shade, tincture gray on the pallet board Stir me up, mix my cup from the bottom of A cold heart, a jumpsta rt for my lack of love See the blend of my sin mixed with godly zeal Want the pallor of my valor to restore and heal Useless dye when the sty is far underneath Sludge has risen from the prison of my apathy Holy God, staff and rod, guide my new pursuit Stir the taint of my complaint until my cast's renewed
V2 Ten Commands, duty lands on my shoulders square Sermon Mount, there's no doubt that I hardly dare To describe present life as disciple, true Loving God and neighbor ought to be my main pursuit Mix the gloss, color lost make its luster shine There's no chance if my stance is that I'm doing fine Grace is great in my pain as my pallor drains Mix the varnish, heal the tarnish that grows in my brain Grant me hope, more than cope, bright and shining hue Self without Light within is a vain pursuit I will trust, as I must in, Christ's saving heart Grace is wide for daily life and not just at the start
Break
Chorus Stir up my soul, paint that has long set In the container of my own regret Renew the shine, mix and refine Stir up the color, like no other, uniquely mine
V3 It is Him, only Him that has blended me God's design, before time, I was brought to be Born in sin, couldn't win, until grace was shown Hunger for when I will know as I'm fully known Comes to mind, past the time I could hear so clear The Still Voice, made the choice, I would follow Him Years fly past, sin relapse, color separates Oil climbs, pigment dives, molecules abate But, the true faithful who have the Seed within Are assured to endure faithful to the end Can't describe the soul-vibe that has captured me As I'm shaken, new-awakened in Christ's purity

This is my first spoken word mix, taken directly from Revelation chapter 13 ...
Revelation 13 - The dragon[a] stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. 3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. 4 People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?”
5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.[b]
9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.
10 “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed[c] with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.”[d]
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.
The Beast out of the Earth 11 Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13 And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e] That number is 666.
A worship song ...
Lyrics:
V1 I was an orphan, alone on the street Looked to the stars and thought, "Who cares for me?" Then, through one faithful who spoke right from wrong My blind eyes were opened, I knew I belonged
Chorus He stood in my stead though guilt covered me He paid every debt, my ledger is clean He ransomed my soul from my enemy He stood in my stead on Hill Calvary
V2 I was defeated and couldn’t find hope Looked to the world seeking ways I could cope Then weary eyes looked to Heaven above Expecting a drought, I received liquid love
Chorus He stood in my stead though guilt covered me He paid every debt, my ledger is clean He ransomed my soul from my enemy He stood in my stead on Hill Calvary
Bridge Filthy rags replaced with righteous robes, white All that Christ did and is has become mine When I stand before my God’s Judgement Seat My plea will be the scars on His hands and His feet
Chorus (2X) He stood in my stead though guilt covered me He paid every debt, my ledger is clean He ransomed my soul from my enemy He stood in my stead on Hill Calvary
"ANXT" is a short, "angsty," instrumental dedicated to those who struggle with anxiety and depression. I pray this lifts your spirits ...
"Brick" is a percussion-heavy rock song written from the first person perspective of someone very dear to me. They would never say these things about themselves, but it's the strength I see in them (and if you can guess who the song is about ... then, you know I'm right!)
Lyrics:
V1 Underestimate my mind, I will smoke you every time I'm a Brick Don’t account for iron will, you’ll be left to pay the bill I'm a Brick Think my argument is weak That some safe place I will seek I will teach you one sure thing You are way out of your league … I'm a Brick
V2 Don’t let my swag clothes fool ya, disrespect me and I'll school ya I'm a Brick Think my quiet calm is passive, face a persona that’ massive I'm a Brick Think my goodwill you’ll manipulate This class you'll not matriculate All foolish talk expired 'Cause I was molded in the fire … I'm a Brick
Chorus Formed from clay and hardened By sun’s rays you’ll pardon My straight talk, no jargon Wind nor rain can’t beat down Purpose plan or passion From a kiln of fire was fashioned Come feel the weight, destined for great The Brick
Solo
Interlude
V3 This is not just cocky talk Know who I am and path I walk I'm a Brick Kind and gentle to the core But, provoke the lion’s roar I'm a Brick Prefer love and peace to strife Tools that heal not sharpened knife But, to break me takes a sword and shield That’s far too big for you to wield … I'm a Brick
Chorus

"This Pilgrim's Way" is a Black Gospel Genre, organ driven ballad with tasty guitar licks and an inspiration message, inspired by Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress ..."
Lyrics:
V1 Oh Lord, it hasn't been easy, this old road I'm traveling on. But, they tell me it leads to a City, where I'll find peace and rest in Your home. Oh, it seems such a long time a comin'. With the road up ahead, steeper still. Still, I've learned one sure thing, You are Faithful! And Your promise to me, will fulfill.
Chorus Over mountains, high, You will lead me. Though each valley, low, You will shine on my path. Across rivers, wide, Your Hand will guide … Until this journey's end.
Over waters, deep, You will bring me. Though the fires and floods, You will shield and provide. Though the darkest night, I will trust in Your Light to shine on this pilgrim's way.
V2 Oh Lord, you've seen all my failures. All the times filled with doubt and with shame. And, I know more than most, I'm not worthy to mention or bear Your Sweet Name. Then, I read in Your Word of the healing that You purchased for me on that Hill. Though the doubts and the fears still assail me, I know Your Promise to me, will fulfill.
Chorus
"Princess Mrs." is an original ballad by Daniel Sanford celebrating my daughter, who was married this summer, and the remembrances of a loving Dad as she was growing up ...
Lyrics:
V1 To this day, I can still feel the sensation of you sleeping in my arms The first moment that you looked at me with brown eyes newly opened I was a prince enthralled by your charms I can still hear your cry of need, your giggle sweet, feel your hand upon my face A few decades cannot erase these impressions seared upon my heart from those days
Chorus My Princess, now his Mrs. Oh, my joy has not been halved, it's been made whole My earliest prayer while you lay in mama's womb Was for the man God was preparing for you
V2 To this day, I can feel the thrill of you driving the first time, next to me Your first dance, high school grad, then you’re waving goodbye at the airport pursuing your dreams A Paladin appeared on the horizon and won my darling's hand Passed the rite of my oversight from me to this strong, worthy champion
Chorus
V3 Now this day, before me stands a woman of beauty and grace, who will understand The irrational love a father feels; wants to hold on tight to her, but knows he can’t Now his Mrs., ever my Princess this tender love for you will never die As we dance the dance of life, together, you are his, yet always mine

Have you met this guy? "Bob's Blues," is a catchy blues tune describing every dead-beat guy siphoning off of a good woman, that you've ever met ...
Lyrics:
V1 My name is Bob. I have no job. Because I’m lazy. I sleep in late. Am an ingrate. Mooch off my baby. Don’t need no pity. Walk ‘round my city. What a great country.
V2 My name is Bob. Dress like a slob. Smell kinda funky. But, it’s my choice. Have charming voice. She gives me money. I get my fix, from the NetFlix. No work will suit me.
Solo
V3 My name is Bob. My back is strong. My brain is wiley. I know the drill, to dodge a bill. Jail is not likely. Got a good woman. Brings home my bacon. My life is okay.
Bridge My lady’s fine. She foots my dime. My lady’s forthright. I’m playin’ Fortnite. My lady’s hearty. I cheat and party. My lady’s quandary, on floor my laundry.

An original love song ... this September, my wife (Amy) and I will celebrate our twenty eighth wedding anniversary. I am so blessed ...
Lyrics:
V1 Twenty-eight years seem like one hectic week has passed. We were so in love, yet so naive. Our children now have grown, a cliche, “Time moves fast.” They took the best from you and me.
Chorus These twenty-eight years you’ve grown in beauty. Hand in hand, you’ve walked beside me. “Better” was our normal, worse the less. What else could our future hold for ... ... us, still one, yet growing older? Twenty-eight years hold “great” but not our “best.”
V2 Twenty-eight years you’ve been my best friend and my heart. The secrets of the night we, silent, hold. Our battle scars come not from words spoke cold and harsh. They are memorials as back to back we toiled.
Chorus
Bridge Charm is deceptive and beauty is in vain. But, a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Her children rise and bless her, as one. Her husband tells of all she has done. Let her works bring praise at cities gates.
Chorus
An original R&B song, taken from Micah 6:8, by Daniel Sanford ...
Lyrics:
V1 With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come with to Him with offered rams and oil: The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Pre-Chorus He has shown you, what He requires of you.
Chorus To do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with your God To do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with your God He has shown you, what He requires of you
V2 In a soundbite world filled with talking heads, True religion fails replaced by promises, instead. A faultless faith is caring for the poor and to keep oneself unspotted by the world
Pre-Chorus He has shown you, what he requires of you.

Dressed To the Nines" is the second in a trilogy of "odd time signature" songs I'm writing. Written in a 9/8 meter, it's immensely listenable, but will stretch your toe-tapping skills!

Chorus Hear the creak of leather flats Impressed by pressed pinstripe slacks Button down with power tie My paycheck is gonna fly Belt of gator with gold watch Interview I shall not botch Haircut all gelled, looking fine Dropped some bills to get "Dressed to the Nines!"
V2 Walk into HR, swagger stride Boss Lady's prada looking fine Nailed every question, she eyed my suit "Don't call us, maybe we'll contact you" Halogen light switched on in my brain Ego deflated is such a drain Loosened my collar, slump in my spine Have each receipt, ditched "Dressed to the Nines!"

If Weezer, Reliant K, the Beach Boys, and Skrillez collaborated on a song ... well, just maybe ...
Lyrics:
V1 Yesterday, so insane, daybreak starts a newborn day Mercies new, hot strong brew, barefoot in the dawning dew Say a prayer, bed-head hair, the past is past, the future’s here. You have blown it, don’t bemoan it, “Present” is a present, own it
Pre-Chorus Admit it, quit it, forget it Turn and learn and burn the candle God once lit
Chorus Keep showin’ up! You may not want to Not always fun to, but, it’s the real clue Keep showin’ up, in your praying room In His Word’s-eye view In your Sunday pew. Keep showing, you’re growing, keep showing up
V2 Punch the clock, tick-tick-tock When will this day end, hate your job Boring work, boss a jerk Live for the weekend, you deserve Thankful heart does it’s part To frame the Name you’re representing Loose the ‘tude, that funky mood Embrace the race that you are given
Pre-Chorus
Admit it, quit it, forget it Turn and learn and burn the candle God once lit
Chorus
Rap Time is a luxury that burns like setting sun It almost is too late to learn we lost the race we set to run Attitude and gratitude redeem the time we're given here Our live is but a pilgrim's quest, best start to live and love those, dear
