This week Daniel unpacks how we as a church are called to showcase our ability to disagree well; inspired by the example of Jesus. He gives 4 values for us to keep in mind every time we find ourselves at odds with our fellow human beings.
As churches start to regather in person Daniel asks the question, why do we do that? What is our reason for gathering? We discuss the dangers of going onto autopilot as Christians when it comes to Sunday mornings and how we can all press into why we gather on Sunday mornings.

This week Emily talks us through the significance of Jesus final meal. What it meant for his followers and what it means for us today as we think more deeply about the kingdom of God
This week we read about Jesus coming up against system and regimes which are radically opposed to his Kingdom arriving. He gets angry and confrontational, how should we feel about that, and what about God being angry full stop? Daniel wades in this week and explains how Jesus anger is both permission and example to us.

This week in our journey through Matthew’s biography of Jesus' life, David unpacks chapters 17-20. Diving into the concept of an upside-down, back-to-front, wrong-side-up kingdom and what a community looks like that is focused on Jesus’ teachings of throwing off comparison and pride and trading it for a life of humility.

This week in our journey through Matthew’s biography of Jesus' life we’re joined by a friend of ours; Lyn Burnhope, who helps us to take a closer look at chapters 8, 9 and 10. Emily interviewed her live at our Sunday gathering on zoom and asked her all sorts of questions about what it looks like when the Kingdom of God shows up in a city and encouraged us to dream about how we could play our part in bringing the Kingdom of God here in Gloucester.

David unpacks how Jesus was someone who never did anything by halves and how Jesus can not only meet our expectations but can surpass them.

In the last instalment of Daniel's ‘What do you mean…’ series we’re asking some questions about what the bible means when it talks about hell. We learn that actually the concept of hell gets much less air time than we might think and in fact when Jesus was talking about hell he had a different story altogether in mind.

We’re staying in the Psalms this week, as Emily walks us through the two types of Psalms; lament and praise and how each of them serve to alter our perspective. All of us have had cause to lament this year and ask: “How long, oh Lord?” and the Psalms teach us to focus on the faithfulness and the promises of God, despite our current problems.
