Banner Kidd
Banner Kidd is a songwriter/storyteller, podcaster, Bible Teacher, former radio broadcaster, music producer, husband, dad, and papa (grandpa). Born again since 1987, Banner has served in worship ministry, and as an elder teacher. Twenty-seven of the years since 1987 were in the same fellowship. Banner has come out of a very legalistic belief system in recent years and has a message of freedom in heart changing simple belief in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ.
A quick podcast providing news about Banner's ministry and a look at Verse Three of Pau's letter to the Philippians; The Judaizers of "the circumcision" and how that resonates concerning the contemporary Hebrew Roots movement.

Relating it to his experience in coming to terms with his East Kentucky Hillbilly heritage, and with the challenges to Black Americans and the 1st Nations, Native Americans, Banner explores the necessity of knowing who you are, and becoming settled with that, so that God can use you, as He changes you into who He wants you to be, instead of being conformed to a cultural identity foreign to you, and to God.

This is the first podcast for Love is Calling, rebooted, after nearly two decades in the Hebrew Roots movement. The focus of the podcast is freedom in Christ, in Yeshua, or Jesus, if you will. This episode asks a lot of questions that demand an answer, unless they are simply ignored. Who is your King? Who is your Great High Priest? Who leads you into Truth? Is your assembly unified in shared doctrinal positions, or unified in and by the Spirit of Jesus, the Spirit of Truth?
This is a sample of the audiobook Laura's Healing Journey - The Laura (Kidd) Payne Story. Laura was my daughter who fought a rare form of cancer, trusting in her Heavenly Father to deliver her, for five years. He delivered her into the Paradise of God. A long podcast about my call to ministry with the back story and what I know, at this point, moving forward. I am called to the Auburn, Indiana area, but not restricted to that location. I'm looking for a place to start a Bible Study and to plant a church with an emphasis on the hurting and lost and those disillusioned with man's religion, and those who feel like they don't fit in, or measure up, or aren't welcome. I think this describes most of us. Jesus, Yahshua, came to set us free and turn our lives into something beautiful for His glory and our eternal good.
The Apostle Paul writes the letter to the Galatians to tell them that their salvation depends on their belief in Messiah, the Christ, and Him alone. The Good News, or Gospel, is that of Messiah and the reign of God. The reign, or kingdom of God, or Elohim, in Messiah is that we hear Him, obey Him, as He gives us Instruction/Torah in real time. It isn't up to us to decide how to walk this walk. Nor is it up to others. We are to be His disciples, His taught-ones, and walk as He leads and instructs.
Moses was given the task of bringing right ruling to the children of Israel, as we read in Exodus Chapter Twenty-One. In Isaiah Chapter Nine we read the prophecy of Messiah's birth and that right ruling would be his. It's clear a change of administration happened with Messiah's arrival on the scene as a man, and then with His finished work on the cross, resurrection and then ascencion to the Father. What does it mean for us?
I wrote this song and it was used in the God of Hope project as well. Lisa Mertz, now Lisa Loza, sang in. I recorded it myself in 2013 for my Consuming Fire CD. I reworked the lyrics for a female vocalist, and to make it work for God of Hope. I like for versions, but I'm more partial to the original lyrics that I sang on my recorded version.
This is another song I wrote that was included in the God of Hope Audio Book Soundtrack. It's called Deliver Us and is inspired by the Exodus story in Scripture.
This song, written by Banner Kidd and Nathan Heironimus, is based on the story of Thomas, who doubted the resurrection of Jesus/Yahshua. It explores the feelings of doubt and how the presence of the Savior removes that doubt for those who cry out in belief, for help with their unbelief.
This is a demo for the producers who will be working with me to record this song and several others for The Laura Payne Story book and accompanying CD project, as well as a couple of other projects upcoming. Scriptural foundation is Romans 5:14-21. This is just a simple guitar, bass, and Logic percussion to present the idea. Will add mandolin and a couple of harmony parts, plus some more guitar, for sure... maybe fiddle.
Too often people privately interpret Scripture to fit a narrative or to advance an agenda. At other times there are those, especially in leadership positions, who feel they need to shepherd the belief/faith of others. Is this what the Father desires? Or are we to answer to our Master, individually?
Debate surrounds the Sabbath Day, with many confused as to even what day is prescribed in Scripture. But, even for those who have come to understand what day it truly is on, there are so many individuals and different groups with their own interpretation of how to keep the Sabbath Day, usurping the sovereignty of the True Master of the Sabbath, Messiah Yahusha.
One of the things that I see some who have come to the Truth of Torah struggle with is what about their loved ones who passed on and weren't observing Torah, at least like we have come to understand. Were the saved? Please listen as I attempt to get to the Root of Truth about it. Part of this podcast contains a song I wrote about my dad, who was an old regular baptist preacher, who died in the same place as I describe other's loved ones, above.
