Music Resource Center - Cincinnati
The Music Resource Center—Cincinnati is a multifaceted teen program that uses recording and performing arts and mentoring to engage and empower Cincinnati are teens to thrive as students, individuals, community members, artists, and leaders.
For a membership fee of $2/month, teens in grades 7-12 can attend MRC to learn computer music production & recording, create multi-track recordings, and take private music lessons. Our 7000+ square-foot East Walnut Hills facility offers our members access to Multitrack Recording Studios, Practice Rooms, performance opportunities, & more!
Passion just graduated from high school. During the summer following her senior year she has had to face some tough questions regarding her future. She used the time she spends at the public library hanging out and volunteering, to learn more about her options and work through some of her struggles.
Withrow High School student Alexis had the chance to ride along with Cincinnati Police officer Malinda Jordan, who also happens to be a Withrow alumni. She took the time to learn about Officer Jordan’s journey toward her career in law enforcement, and the barriers she faced along the way.

Withrow High School senior, Kwamar, took the time to sit down and talk with one of his favorite teachers before the end of his high school career. Ms. Mansfield was finishing her first full year as a high school teacher. Kwamar took the opportunity to speak frankly with her about her experience being a white woman from a small town doing her first year of teaching in an urban, predominantly African American high school.

There’s a stereo-type out there about cheerleaders… Ditsy, in it for the popularity, coasting their way through school and dating the football star. Kiendra, Ashley, and Jasmine are seniors at Withrow high school looking to explain why their favorite extra curricular is much more than that. Sure, popularity is nice, but they want you to know it’s that and so much more.

Mykeesa recognizes the challenges her friend Nature had to overcome to reach the end of their senior year together. She sat down with Nature a few weeks before graduation to discuss those challenges, the resilience and support it took for her to make it this far, and how her experience has made her a stronger person.
