Through our powerful conversations, we discuss issues that affect women throughout the globe. Women will become informed and inspired to awaken to the beauty that lies within all of humanity. From this inspiration, we as sisters can see, hear and feel the common thread that connects us all as empowered women, wherever we are on this planet.
The Global Sisterhood is honored to have spoken with Brenda Michaels and her co-writer Marsha Mercant. Brenda is an inspiring, insightful, and passionate communicator. Through her work as a syndicated talk-show host of Conscious Talk Radio and The Women’s Hour, as a public speaker, a workshop leader, the author of several articles on women’s health issues, an animal activist, a spiritual and emotional coach, a former anchor writer for Sibyl Magazine, and a member of the Advisory Board for the Emerald Heart Cancer Foundation, Brenda’s leadership in raising awareness is a true demonstration of her commitment to living upon this planet as a conscious being. Marsha is a multi-award-winning actor/singer/voice over artist who turned her creative passion to writing as co-editor of the Amazon#1 bestseller, Fearless Women, Visions of a New World and the editing of several other books. And with the completion of her new play, When You Get There, adds playwright to her many accomplishments. Their new book, The Gift of Cancer – A Miraculous Journey to Healing, published by SkyHorse Publishing will be in book stores this fall.

Rachel is a mentor to Lisa McGillivray, a co-host of The Global Sisterhood and Founder of Positive Women's Movement. Although Rachel is one of The Global Sisterhood’s younger guests, she is filled with wisdom.
The Global Sisterhood had an enlightening conversation with Justice Bartlett and Jennifer Yost about their definition of truth, the heart and ground spirituality. Justice Bartlett, CHT, LMP, founder of EmBody Me, is a Transformational Consultant, Intuitive Coach, Healer, Certified Hypnotherapist and Licensed Massage Practitioner. She has been in the healing arts as a practitioner and teacher for 9 years. Jennifer Yost, MA, LMHC, founder of Integrate Healing, is a licensed psychotherapist and state certified Reiki Master. She has been working in the healing arts as a counselor, teacher, and energy intuitive for over 18 years. Together, Justice and Jennifer host Doubly Divine Radio, co-created Clear Heart Mastery Workshops for In-Hearted Living and co-produce The One Gathering. Justice and Jennifer use these different outlets to teach simple pragmatic tools for facilitating emotional and energetic awareness and integrity for joyful living.
Peg Rodrigues is an energy intuitive and mom to four children. She studied at the Northwest School of Healing and opened her private practice Soul Window, in 2010, near Seattle, WA. Peg’s gift is to “see” people's energy systems through her hands. She works hands on with her clients to determine what is blocking them from living a life to their full potential. Peg believes that when we align our energy system to the universal source and flow, we step into the power of our authentic selves.

We had an enlightening conversation about the importance of being kind to ourselves as mothers, and to embrace who we are to be the best mums we can be. Marie believes with education on how something works, we have the ability to operate it with efficiency and the mind is no different. Her most recent venture is the creating and overseeing the women's empowerment news media site GirlTalkHQ.com. Asha is committed to empowering women and highlighting positive news of women throughout the world.
Vanessa Simpkins is the Bikini Business Coach. An inspiring woman who very honestly and courageously takes us into vulnerability and shares her journey from an abusive relationship to empowering herself through financial freedom.

Alaa Mansour is a young woman and student from Egypt and proud to be part of the Women For One Team. She is completing her Master's degree in Comparative Literature. She is also an English instructor and volunteers in the Resala Charitable Organization which is an English teaching project. Alaa believes that women are courageous and have the power to change the world. The Global Sisterhood is honored to present a series of conversations with the women of the Middle East. Our intention is to inform, inspire and engage women from other countries to understand the beautiful culture that is evolved throughout the Middle East. There is much unrest in this area of the world, but at the same time the Middle East countries have a rich culture with an intriguing history that we can all learn from. We want to speak with powerful women from these countries so that we may better understand one another and in turn, begin to create positive solutions to the issues we face as women globally.
This is our first show of the series, and we are excited to have spoken with Professor Sahar Abdel- Hakim. She is a professor of Cultural Studies at Cairo University. Sahar is Professor of Cultural Studies at the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. Among her research interests, cultural theory, women studies, travel studies, postcolonial studies and translation. She is particularly interested in cross-cultural relations. Along with her colleagues at the university she founded WMF (Women and Memory Foundation), an Egyptian NGO that is interested in rewriting the history of Arab women by way of implementing what was silenced and written out of mainstream history.
Professor Sahar is also a founding member of ASTENE (Association for the Study of Travel in Egypt and the Near East), based in UK. Her work there focuses on studying the relations established through the encounters between Arabs and westerners and how their diversity and hence, the future potential, will generate a better understanding and communication across cultures. She studied at Cairo University, Egypt and Oxford University, UK. In 2009-10 she was Fulbright Scholar at NYU, USA. We are honored to have spoken with Professor Sahar to open a dialogue among women throughout the world about issues that affect all of us on this great Earth.
