Friends, this message brings our walk with God and the fruit of God together. God has called us. He commends that we have joy. Life is going to be challenging anyway. But how much more do we have His joy released in us? That is the big question.
Even when it is tough to understand what is going on, we must rediscover our call to enjoy God. So, whatever you are facing, whatever hurdle, barriers, orblockage you are facing, Friend, do not move forward without acknowledging how to be restored and refreshed in God's gracious and glorious joy for you and me to experience.
GET A GRIP
We all have moments when the best thing we can do is learn how to get a grip. It is always in the proper context; sometimes, ‘Get a grip’ is an encouragement and, at other times, a dig at getting you back on track. Friends, today's message is to encourage you and help you get back on track. Paul stressed that Timothy should focus on the best things. Those things or elements that help you and me live our best life and call out. Authentic discipleship isdemonstrated by each of us getting a grip on Christ so that we do not lose or let go of our grip on him.
Remember, Jesus is also holding you tightly.
So get a grip and keep your group tight.

Now and then, a message can cut our hearts, my heart and yours to its core. Well, this message is no exception. The challenge is living the way God has ordained through his word is a higher calling. To live a life is called ‘Authentic Discipleship’. It is nothing new. Not just living with a just get-by attitude, or good enough is good enough. But purposely looking to have a Christlikeness of heart and mind, Paul said he seeks to imitate Christ; we choose what we pursue. But it must be said on many occasions that God's calls upon each of us are to take us to the place of supreme health and goodness. We must return with rent hearts, humble and open to walk the healing process out (whatever that may mean for you). Am I too precious to follow Jesus? Only you can answer that Question.
When God doesn’t make sense!
There is nothing new under the sun when it touches our understanding or comprehension of what God is doing or saying to each of us. It is a fascinating thought. “Why is it God - that we don’t understand?” Life is filled with many occasions that you or I will never fully understand. I suppose that is what faith is for. We walk by faith and not by sight. And for Abraham, whatever you take away from his life’s experiences and challenges. He was a man of faith. The lessons were learned, ‘trust me, says the Lord’. Can you trust Jesus today? Because even if it is difficult to understand God, we must surrender and keep our hope in him.
Pentecost Sunday is a day and a time that reminds us of thewonderful outpouring of the Holy Spirit for all asks. The Holy Spirit ignites the flames of God's heart and presence upon each person who seeks to be led and filled by His spirit. Pentecost is never meant to be a historical reference only but to signify the birthing of the church now towards an everyday occurrence of divine presence and power. This kind of living has sustained the church throughout the ages in trials and persecution. May our prayer be... 'Come Holy Spirit, fall afresh on me'.
Friend the final instalment of Called, here we consider theoverarching benefits that being Called places on every believer. We are called to do something; the call is the clue, and we are called to discover, investigate, and desire all that God seeks to fulfil in our lives. It's as simple as itshould be.
Know this: you are called; the calling upon your life affects you, those closest to you, and those whom God has placed around you for you to inspire and influence. So, Go step into your call and see what God is about to do! Because God is working out great and marvellous things in you in His kingdom.
The war of thoughts in our mind can be a very real battlefield. Some of these strongholds may include fear, shame, guilt, insecurity, misconceptions and distortion of the truth.
When our own reality is distortion, Lyn shares how we can find God's perspective written in the pages of His word, the book of truth, the bible.
The crucified life or 'dying to self' essentially deals with our innate carnality. Today Lyn shares the 4 spiritual battle realms and how God our father's nature and character, help us to overcome.
You are called to be Free. Friends, the world celebrates freedom; the ‘a do what you want to do, feel what you want to feel’ mentality is about me. However, we mustimportantly understand that the core of freedom has to do with authority's underlying parameters. For freedom, Christ has set you and me free. It is God's work on the cross, displaying his love and providing the Holy Spirit for day-to-day victory. Stand firm in your freedom, and do not be led astray; yield yourselves as members of righteousness. It is not about you but about God working to foster and shape Christ in you, the hope of Glory.
There is never a more critical time in our age than now to uphold our mission for the Gospel.To be Gospel-ready! Jesus made it His one ambition to be the gospel, reveal it, fulfil it, and be God with us. Jesus demonstrated the gospel promise that would be with his people. Friends, the gospel is under attack; the gospel will push back on darkness, the gospel will confront error and sin, and it will also bring healing and wholeness to whoever. The message we know and live with is unpopular with many. But it is God's way we must uphold.

The celebration of all celebrations. The Resurrectionis a signature faith statement of Christianity. Everything hinges on this reality. The evidence helps to confirm the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Secular historiansacknowledge that this man – Jesus- appeared to confirm what the prophets had foretold.This Easter, our focus is on the Romans, chapter five (v6-11), which reminds us that the demonstration of the resurrection is central to our faith. So, without the resurrection, there would be no Christianity!
The Resurrection demonstrates that we have been justified by his blood. That we have been saved from God's wrath. That we are no longer enemies of God. That we have been reconciled to God in Christ.
Why is Good Friday – good?
Christians worldwide celebrate this annual Easter event with significant spiritual importance each year! The gift of God himself for all of humanity. Easter reminds us that we need a Saviour and a sinless human representative for all of humanity, past, present and future. Jesus is that gift. His life was God's gift for our salvation and redemption. In the book of Romans, we unpack two critical thoughts for why Easter is good news.
In God's unique plan, we discover that this world is not theend. It is our precursor for this life in Christ and the next! The Psalmist invites us to worship God as it focuses on God rather than what is happening around us. The Imagery used helps to shed light on what it means to flourish—moving away from a cultural understanding to a deeper understanding of the right relationships and the purpose of life. The Bible provides insight into who God is and draws us to connect at a deeper spiritual level. And this Kingdom, understanding of flourishing, is living, serving God best when we are living out His will. I hope you are blessed by this message.
The power of the gospel is handed to each of us to share and proclaim in our call to reconcile lost humanity with living Saviour and only God. In this message, Ps Nick unravels the heart of God for all people, reflecting on the two Phillips mentioned in scripture. We are all called to God and to be witnesses. We have a divine calling to make disciples of all nations (people anywhere and everywhere). Here, Nick provides an insightful BOB prayer.

In this message, Lyn reminds us of who we are in Christ and, as such, the importance of resting and abiding because it is not what we can do – but what the Holy Spirit can do through us. That leads us to isolate ourselves from one call and understand God's many calls. There are so many more calls that help us to deepen our walk in Christ. There are specific calls to help us abide and rest. That led us to a place of submission, obedience, and a desire only to do as God does, as God leads and empowers. The rest that God desires is one of the most profound rests for peace in our being.

It is through others that we become known and find purpose. In this week's message, your desire to Connect will enable and empower you. It releases power to enrich our lives and connect in a faith environment, which is powerful! Your callto connect will protect you, and you will find your personhood. You best YOU; all that God has for you to do and in and through to bless others is and only happens in CONNECTION! Life at its best is an accumulation of deep and meaningful relationships that mutually benefit one or the other!
To connect is to see and be seen, to let each other know we are not alone and never will be.
CALLED: In this week's message we finish the ‘Callto Discern’ focus. Discernment is God's idea to help us rely on Him and to lead us through difficult times or challenging situations. It helps withbreakthroughs, determining what is spiritual and what is not spiritual, what is from God and what is not. It is vital to be discerning our daily lives. Discernment is a gift and a choice we all must make. A discerning heart requires intimacy withthe father and openness to be led. It says, I will pay attention. Discernment is not a sideline issue with God but is the very manifestation of the counselof the Holy Spirit in your life. God is speaking and revealing certain things that are absolutely critical for you and me to know He has gifted us with his Holy Spirit to discern those things in our lives.
We continue in this 'called series' of our call to discipleship. Every believer is called. Every believerhas a purpose, and every believer is to be a disciple and disciple-maker. I heard once that you can be a believer but not a disciple or, for that matter, a disciple maker. It is God's heart that we reach people with the amazing truth of God's love. Contrary to worldly or popular thinking, God is a God who allows us the freedom to choose him or not choose him. That freedom brought consequences. And still, the world is not in perfect synch with the heavenly plan; the bible says even creation groans and cries out for deliverance. (Romans 8:22-23)
Friend, today, the first step is knowing who you are in Christ and that you are called, and the second is knowing you are called to make disciples.
We continue in this series of discerning God's plan and purpose for our lives, the process of discovering His heart and, at times, His specialleading and direction. This week, we unpack what is often considered discernment and instead trust in who is leading us. We pray you are stirred up and encouraged in this series to learn and seek God for clarity, but more than that, communion with him.
A call to discern. I believe there is no more urgent calling of the intrinsic nature of any believer, as expressed in our Christian faith than the characteristics to hear and discern what God is saying. Discernment is downloading God's heart,will, and intention for any situation we require as we seek His direction, help, clarity, and divine wisdom. Friend, do yourself a BIG favour and put into place ways to build and cultivate a discerning heart. It has everything to do with your future! It is about living the God kind of life while releasing God's purpose and calling upon your life.
I'm surprised that many followers of God don't fullyunderstand the wonderful God-enriched call to fast. Throughout the Bible, every Christian generation has chosen to fast as a regular means of displaying a heart of surrender and dependence on God. A fasting time is a dedicated time of need that accompanies prayer. When we fast, it is our response to God with the desperation of need, repentance and even a time of mourning in humility before our God. Friend, fasting is not easy in the flesh, but the SPIRITUAL benefits are out of this world. Jesus calls and expects us to fast. ‘When you fast’ (Matthew 6). Every time someone fasts –I mean this- something happens. Join us as we fast food, time, TV, music, coffee, or other things, and spend that time before God in whatever way you can.

Welcome to our new sermon series – "called". As we ready ourselves for another year. We believe nothing can inspire you and help you live God's best life for you in 2024 than learning how to endure. Undoubtedly, as we look around, the world's troubles, the persecution coming from our present-day realities and times in which we live, and the ongoing health and family matters can all impact how well we prepare and plan to endure.
Endurance is a quality taught throughout scripture, so you must develop and embrace ENDURANCE.May this year be fruitful as you flourish in and through all God is doing and revealing.
It's evident that discipleship is about more than knowledge; it is about transformational experience. It is to encounter Jesus. Unfortunately, our lack of understanding delays or can even bypass what Jesus seeks to reveal to each of us in a profoundly personal way. Our lack of understanding can alsoblock God's opportunities and challenge us further in our growth as disciples. We need to be disciples, first of all, not religious activists or Christian intellectuals but people who perceive the realities of our faith and how to comprehend what it means to be a Christian. How far are you willing to understand Jesus? So far as laying down your life in the process!

In today’s busy world, it seems easier to lack or experience encouragement. Early in my ministry days, I learned that when there is a lack of encouragement, there is discouragement. A poignant thought to consider. Ps Graeme unpacks the essentials of how vital encouragement is for us as followers of God, leaders, and a church community. When you think of a difficult time, it is not what you may be experiencing but rather the lack of encouragement for the journey in the middle of the challenge.
Friend, be a person in 2024 who finds it in their heart to encourage (put courage into) and to build rather than pull down.
What makes each Christmas a significant time is that it causes us to focus deeply on what is available for every person. In this message, we unpack the three considerations or benefits of 'Beholding' Christ. These are gifts as to why we should behold Jesus and the consequences for not doing so. John the Baptist paid such special attention to announcing Jesus because Jesus is the promised sacrificial lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world when accepted on the basis of personal faith and confession. That is the Christmas message.
So, enjoy and behold Christ today.
Understanding people's misconception of faith in Christ is one of the most significant barriers to salvation. This message briefly unpacks the three core reasons people reject Christ (Christian message). While we understand many intrinsic facets of why people have not believed in Jesus, you will discover that these three reasons cross over to each other and always stem back to the core issue of our hearts. When you think of a loved one or friend, we ask that you be led as you pray, to be sensitive as you build a relationship with the hope, that they will see Jesus in a new light.

What a wonderful God we serve. The highlight of knowing God is knowing God is for me, even in my sin, brokenness, and pain. David understood this reality of God's grace in that he took stock that God, reflecting upon all the ups and downs of life, revealed to David and to every believer God is our deliverer.Today, we know we need his help; God is for you. He accomplished the finished work of salvation, which means you and I need to remind ourselves that God is MY DELIVERER. He breaks the chains that hold us back, releases the oppressed,pours his healing grace over us, restores situations, and smashes those bondages that hold us and keep us captive. Friend, whatever you are walking through, believing for and contemplating what's next, know this and be reassured: God isdelivering circumstances around you right now.
God is moving, He is working, and He is performing according to His word. The gospel is mighty. It has releasing power that changes lives. Today, friends, we consider how God's influence within us creates the opportunity for what a REDEMPTION HOUSE looks like. Looking at Isaiah 54, we learn that in the midst of wrong direction, lost priorities, and, at times, confusion, God will meet us. He is our Redeemer. You can count on Him. We discover three aspects of thinking in Isaiah 54 that help us to consider becoming a 'Redemption House' now and into the future. Join us as we consider the following message with open hearts and lives.

There is no greater example of holding on when facing life's challenges and trials other than looking to Jesus. Today, you and I know the world is changing fast. We live in a world filled with trials and temptations; during these times of struggles and challenges, theburden in our hearts often causes difficulty. Life presents us with trials that can weigh heavily upon us, causing our hearts to falter and our spirits towaver. To ‘Hold fast” in the Bible means holding your position, fixing your gaze, and not losing sight of the goal.
The writer of Hebrews points out that Jesus best models for us how to continue in the opposition and stand firm against such ridicule and misunderstanding.Friend, whatever you are walking through, I know you can get through this if you choose to HOLD ON.
LIVING THROUGH THE TOUGH END TIMES - LYN MCKAY
We are all dealing with a plethora of changes upon us today. Lyn unpacks the difficulties and challenges we all face and how to thrive rather than survive. God always has a plan, a way through, not necessarily a way out. He will lead us, but we must be willing to be led. Today, in whatever situationyou are facing, continue to believe and trust in God, obey His word and consecrate yourself unto God. By doing so you are making room for God to position you ready for an overcoming spirit that will endure.

UNSTOPPABLE GOD WEEK SIX - LOUIS FIFE
Unstoppable God concludes this sixth week. What a journey it has been. For some, it has been a refreshing look and reminder of what God the Son has offered His bride, the Church. It has also highlighted how this has been an unfamiliar series for some. What I can assure you of today, whatever side of the fence you may sit on concerning five-fold graces, is this. What Christ has given the Church has unmistakably aided the Church to rise up, be victorious, and display Christ's divinity through these graces. These graces are Christ's gifts to help establish, affirm, and empower the Church for all ages. Unstoppable God is the resounding echo to build according to God's pattern because we receive God's results when we do. But building according to our ways or wisdom carries little of the original divine intention: Your Kingdom come.

We continue in this series and observe the new wine of leadership model and pattern. The importance of following God's order and God's plan is paramount. The five-fold graces in Ephesians four are given and poured out over His people. Many denominations are wrestling with the prescribed model (existing since Christ's ascension). This week's message explains the function andpurpose of the Apostle and Prophet's grace, gift, and office. These foundational graces are built on Christ. These graces provide a governing mantle of leadership and encourage a passion for the kingdom of God to advance powerfully into communities. We need all the five-fold graces evident and the local Church as they help to raise up and build kingdom culture and provide transformational discipleship.
The mission's goal is unchanged; Jesus had one aim: to be humanity's redeemer and resource (empower) the Church in His name and power ofthe Holy Spirit.
FIVE SIGNS OF A READY CHURCH
Throughout the Bible, we repeatedly see how important it is to be ready and discover that it is not just a good response. It should be our only response. In this message, Louis unpacks briefly the five signs of a ready Church. And God has called you and me to be ready. To be equipped, to be expectant and hopeful. Take these principles from Joshua as they begin to take steps toward their Abrahamic promise, covenant and conquest into the promised land. Consider your behaviours and responses towards God asking you to be ready. The same principles for being READY applies to every area of our lives.

Looking closer at baptism and membership, how do we live out the message that God is with us?
Who is your God? In John 14:7 Jesus said, "If you really know me, you will know my father as well." Our God is a God of goodness, kindness, mercy, love and grace.
As UBC celebrate our 118th anniversary and acknowledge the grace and faithfulness of God throughout the years it was a privilege to hear from Lyn.
Lyn's message titled Back to the future is a message of pilgrimage, what pilgrimage God's way looks like and what it requires of each of us.
Imagine a Christian community thriving in all ministries, life, and discipleship. Well, it is not impossible to imagine. The “Unstoppable God” series reminds us that if we buildaccording to God's pattern and governance, we are positioned to be fruitful and multiply. Unfortunately, we do not always get those results when we seek to do what we think is best.The challenge is always why Jesus gave us the fivefold accession gifts and graces to the body of Christ. And how important is it now to go back to the original pattern and biblical standard for allowing the church (body of Christ) to thrive in a God-ordained environment?
Something to think about.
It is always a privilege to witness and experience people encountering Jesus amid their pain, hardship or general life experiences. To find faith in Jesus is to see our need for a Saviour and acknowledge Jesus as our personal Lord.
Years ago, I remember hearing Jesus must be both Saviour - forgiveness of sin.
And Lord - forsaking our sins.
Today, whatever you are facing, know this: When we acknowledge Our purpose is to fit within the divine purpose of salvation, restoration, transformation. and healing, we realise we need Jesus.

Today's message reveals the raw emotions and pains about the humanity of life we experience, taking the lessons from the Psalms. On this Father's Day, Greg Venz shares the swings and roundabouts of life's thoughts and emotional highs and lows. Talking about all forms of challenge, opposition, pain, heartache, and hard work. We can reflect honesty in those times of deep anguish, disappointment, isolation, confusion, and uncertainty. And yet God is good; we discover God in the trial and battle. We discover God is closer than we realise. He is near, knows, and imitatively aware of our troubles and joys as we close with Psalm 103.
UNSTOPPABLE GOD WEEK THREE
As we continue in this series, we observe a pattern of the new wine of leadership model appears. The importance of following God’s order and God’s plan is paramount. The five-fold graces in Ephesians four are given and poured out over his people. Many denominations are wrestling with the new (already existing since Christ’s ascension) model demonstrated. In this week’s message, three elements emerge as to who we need to build upon this fullness of Christ to understand - JESUS IS PERFECT THEOLOGY – you cannot get any better than Jesus. Next, this fullness of Christ is to understand JESUS IS THE PERFECT PATTERN – He alone is the foundation we build our lives on and the church model. And lastly, this fullness of Christ is to understand. JESUS IS THE PERFECT CORNERSTONE. What you must take away from this message is what God reveals to YOU. What is Jesus showing you? And, more importantly, what are you going to do about it? What is God asking of You right now? Build your life upon the Rock. Build as we co-labour this ministry upon Jesus as the foundation.

UNSTOPPABLE GOD WEEK TWO
Friends, this week’s message is a real rousing and challenging message of building according to the church leadership and governance pattern that Jesus presented. The five-fold Ministry giftings given by Jesus to the Church (His people) are paramount to fulfilling our mandate of the mission. Only with a new heart and mind (or, as the scriptures say, renewed in the Spirit of your mind) as it relates to the Church in the present-day form are we to be led, open and willing to allow the Holy Spirit the rite of passage towards maturity in our lives. We must embrace the model provided by our Lord and Saviour Jesus as it relates to dealing with the spiritual authority structures in the Church’s life. While there may be other options, there is really no other option. For any Church to flourish, it must build on the foundation of Christ, the cornerstone, and then fivefold ascension giftings must be released within the local Church. So do not go alone, do not forsake fellowshipping together, and do not isolate; nothing good will come of it. Only together will we encounter Christ’s unified presence and empowerment TOGETHER!

Pastor Graeme’s Message reminds us that we are never alone; we have all been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, who has quickened us to life and blessing. It’s easy to lose sight of what is the now moment in our lives. However, we can overcome and live over and above, not under our circumstances. Not only this but the Holy Spirit also breathes new life into us, empowers us and quickens our mortal bodies. Friend, this message is an opportunity to find the Holy Spirit and to refresh you in whatever situation you are facing.

Staying strong under pressure is the litmus test for all believers who trust in Jesus while working through unknown or difficult-to-discern seasons. The Apostle Paul demonstrated uncanny courage despite difficult seasons and pressured experiences. He was honest enough to say, ‘I don’t know what to do, but I’m trusting my Saviour with every step’. Paul demonstrates that tough times will be experienced, opposition to living an authentic life. And a commitment to missional living is costly. It is hoped in this message, you will be encouraged to live your best life and not to be easily discouraged or lose your motivation. God is with you. God bless you.
Staying Positive Under Pressure looks more at not allowing specific outside influences to impact your IDENTITY in learning how to stay positive in challenging situations. We live in turbulent, changing times, with more pressures on relationships and families. How can we safeguard our inner world from crumbling under the weight of stressful seasons, and how do we stay positive and strong? Here are three thoughts that we hope will help you consider how to rethink your current concerns and remind yourself of God's promises for your life. We learned that dismissing these significant examples in each area has disappointing consequences.
A COVENANT PEOPLE – a passion God delights in.
Covenant is one of the most central theological themes running through the Bible. There is no denying that covenant is the passionate redemptive theme of God's nature extended towards humanity. Covenant in both the Old Testament and New Testament is centred on the ultimate New Covenant found in Christ and points to the ultimate expression of grace personified in Christ. I love how the covenant helps reveal God’s heart and nature in our lives. Whether it is kingdom or life in general, God reaches out to each of us in ways that we cannot understand. He is gracious.
In this message, we learn that we must turn back towards the Lord no matter what happens. It’s time to repent, forsake our sins and turn from our ways. It is time to seek the Lord and to be renewed in that seeking. "We are a reflection of not what we have been given - but what we do with what has been given".

Friends, every now and then, a message comes along that can change the course of time and our future. This message is no exception. The Jesus is My Hero series focuses on How Jesus is the Hero of my heart, which means He has saved me and filled me with mission and purpose. Recognising that first, Jesus works in me and enables me. He calls me to abide. He doesn’t leave me alone; He invites and beckons us to work and bear fruit because of our relationship with Jesus. With an always inviting closer walk with Jesus, to abide is to work out my salvation with fear and trembling. This message asks each of us, are you a disciple of Jesus? Are you abiding? And are you spiritually mature? If not, why not. It's time to dig our roots deeper than ever before. God bless Pastors Louis.

Part two of this message relates to the reason Jesus is the Hero of my (our) life because He seeks to energise me in His presence through renewal and empower me in His presence through expectations. The miracle at the close of Mark chapter six is a bonus. People all around the world are looking for Heroes. People who will inspire, delight, and influence us significantly even give us hope. This message looks at one individual named Jesus, the Son of God - the Son of man, the greatest of all heroes.
In many areas of life, the word of God reveals that Jesus is our Hero. Pastor Louis looks at three core areas of why Jesus should be our hero. Pentecost is a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and love towards releasing his promise over His people.
Pentecost reminds us that it is not my ability but God's ability through His Spirit working in me.
May we never lose our hunger to know God more, to be empowered supernaturally for mission?
And how we may be full of expectancy for God to move by His Spirit upon and through His people for the great harvest.
My prayer for you is an increased hunger for God to speak, move upon you, quicken your soul, and burn within you with an incredibly clear mission and focus. This is a crucial moment. Do you have a hunger for God, maybe a renewed or new hunger?
Here is a prayer, ask God what you are expecting today! What are you hoping to happen?
And last, ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit.
Hello friend, Sunday's message was powerful for those who desire to serve Christ without unnecessary limitations. In John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. NIV It is one thing to be Christian and a follower of God; it is another thing to live in that position daily. Exercising every promise, every benefit and everything Christ died to offer on behalf of us (as followers) to the Father. Sin and death are the means to want to keep you under the law (Romans 8:1-5). Our responsibility is not to be drawn back under the law but to be under the spirit. Learn who you are because of Christ, reaffirm your position in Christ and that you are an overcomer. That no condemnation is going to keep you under the law. Be free and stay in that freedom.
Fear not. Two of the most powerful words you can ever hear. Why?Because the Bible instructs us NOT to fear!
Because the world in which we live is saturated with a fear mentality and culture.It is all around us. Fear is nothing new it was evident in the Garden of Eden;if fear can be present in the most presented perfect place, how much more can itinvade our life?
Friends, the goal is not to completely ignore any reality tofear; quite the opposite. We need to recognise fear when it strikes our hearts.
You must stop and address those fears when fear becomes all-consuming,dominant, controlling, and influencing daily behaviour. You have to ask yourself,what is going on here?

Geoff Maddock from Baptist Mission Australia speaks from Acts16:11-13. In these verses we read of Paul, his companions and Lydia. Geoff encourages each of us to step out of our comfort zones and submit our longings to the will and work of God. He also encourages us to be witnesses of peace, to be interested in real, loving relationships and allow God to do the convicting and heart opening.
Not Good Enough.
What lies are you believing, and what truth are you denying? That is the heart of this message. Pastor Louis sought to understand our unregenerate nature and sinful bias toward God's love and grace. Yet more than that, we are separated spiritually (of true life) from God because of our sinful nature. While the world desperately seeks affirmation and acceptance. God's grace is ready to be received and an invitation to be renewed by God's love, mercy, and goodness.God's grace enables us to be recipients of His mercy that leads us to repentance and our new position IN Christ! Before Christ, we were all loved but not worthy; however, we are now worthy and loved in Christ. In Christ, we have nothing to prove and everything to gain.
Good Friday Easter message is for everyone, particularly forthe Christian, as our daily mantra of life.
Andrew Gurr (Elder) powerfully provides us with the challenge Easter should offer, essentially to be right with God. May you know yourspiritual space, that sense of knowing, growing and flowing in your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Knowing Jesus More. Are you in good shape? It is a pointed question each of us must answer. Because if we are in good “SPIRITUAL” shape, then this will reflect how well is our relationship with God. And Jesus is giving you permission to live your best life, which is determined around being shaped like Jesus; then we will become like Jesus.
That is the Christian -Easter message. It is the daily challenge Jesus asks of each of us every day. And if you ask this question from your heart,you will find rest for your weary soul, relief in your trials and tribulations and recovery to move on. The Bible asks us to open our hearts to Jesus, take new risks, trust each other, and identify and remove the masks holding us back to reveal what God is saying to you and to me for now.

A DIVINE SHIFT – IS COMING APRIL 2-2023
God is on the move, and His heart is to see lives change. This message prepares you to allow God to create a divine shift in you, your heart, your thinking, your circumstances, your plans and your family. Sometimes a shaking occurs first before the shift can truly make its impact. A reminder of how God is passionately involved in our lives, from brokenness to blessing, from trouble to triumph, from victim to victor. God is shaking - to shift you. A shift is God's way of getting us into a better position, shifting our purpose, and creating a new perspective: it's shifting you to the new things that God has in store. Jesus didn’t come to offer an upgrade to the law. Jesus didn’t come to regress between old and new covenants. No, Jesus came to usher in a new, eternal system of grace and life. It is not a message for the faint-hearted or those who choose to stay where they are and change not!
Either way, we all make a choice, and that choice counts.

To be battle ready, we need to be strong, we need to stand up, and we need to stand against.
In a continuation from the last 4 weeks Pastor Louis reminds us that when going into battle we need to put on the helmet of salvation and take up sword of the spirit (which is the word of God). When going into battle we need to declare God's word over our situation and circumstances. God's word is truth, it has authority and gives assurance.
Pastor Louis continues with asking the question, "are you battle ready?" He reminds us of the importance of soaking in God's word, putting on our shoes of peace and picking up our shield of faith.
Are you battle ready? Because the battle is read for you! Pastor Louis reminds us that when fighting spiritual warfare our best weapon is prayer. However, we also need to be clothed in Christ, and to to this He has equipped us with spiritual armour.
Battle ready! Pastor Louis shares how we can be prepared for the battles we face. He reminds us, that when we are strong in the Lord no power can stand against us. And the reason being,... is because no power can stand against Him.
Are you battle ready? because the battle is ready for you!

Jesus himself invites us to belong, firstly, to himself and secondly, to his body,(other believers). This is such an honour.
The invitation is always open and always drawing you and me to come closer.

How important is prayer in times of stress and tragedy? Graeme shares how everyone experiences stress and tragedy, and how in these moments we can ask, why would God allow such things to happen?

Thank you for joining us in our Christmas Eve service -2020 the service theme was “the Saviour’s day”. In fact, every day is the Saviour’s day to all those who believe. But we must not hold it to ourselves. We must share this message, this great news—an invitation to know Jesus to receive Jesus personally.
The Saviour’s day is all about Jesus, in our mess, in our brokenness God made away. In our sin, rebellious ways God made away. We have the greatest message EVER. It must be shared, and it must be celebrated. Our prayer is you can celebrate as we do. May this day be your Saviour’s day an echo of your life transformed?

Welcome to week eight in our study of the book of Colossians chapter one. In this week’s message, you will hear my heart as the topic of SUFFERING. I pray this message will encourage you and help you to put your trust in Jesus even more. An awkward study, nobody, enjoys talking about particularly in future scenarios. However, Paul desired to include this teaching should be not underestimated. Colossians 1:24-29 Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. NIV
We can all learn from Suffering. Understanding, Suffering can help us to reach a hurting and broken world. Our pain, trails and can help us to understand better the world in which we live. We can identity as Christ-followers how vital and necessary it is for each one of us to present a message of hope. Paul does not negate the promise of Colossians on how to experience the fullness of life in Jesus Christ. Yet, we recognise following Jesus means participating with Christ sufferings.
“Therefore, though Christianity does not provide the reason for each experience of pain, it provides deep resources for actually facing suffering with hope and courage rather than bitterness and despair”. Philosopher Peter Kreeft.
Whatever your pain, your hurt your anguish, your grief, your loss you heartache, please remind yourself of Gods’’ faithfulness. In 2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. His promises are for you and your family and the promise that is yet to come and so keep casting your cares upon Him. 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your cares on him because he cares about you. CSB

Today’s message title is why does it matter? It matters become Jesus died so that no one would miss out on his wonderful offer of eternal life and life forever more. As a body, a church of called out and gathered ones, may you and I realise three simple truth to help us set up an effective model of discipleship and Evangelism, how by merely learning to; LOOK –LISTEN and LOVE. These three behaviours, I believe, can help us immensely learn to see what are the needs saying around about us? What are we hearing what are we listening too? What are we noticing around our community and church family?
This week we continue with our Guest Speaker Reverend David Roffe. In this message, David continues in our study of Colossians chapter one. Today's study is looking at verses 15-18 on the magnificent grace and provision offered to each one of us through Christ. Paul is inviting each one of us to taste and see that the Lord is good, in fact, beyond good. Jesus is, this means, we all get to experience Jesus in a new and fresh way daily. It means all things have been provided and created for us to experience and to encounter Jesus. Jesus is what God considered able to make all things abound to us, all things in Christ, all things, all His fullness, all his grace, all his love. To reconcile you and me to God's forgiveness and ultimately salvation.
This message will inspire you to draw nearer to Jesus to walk closely in faith and in, extravagant love.

LET HOPE Arise. Today is the last in this short series on hope. We pray it has been a fresh and timing reminder of what God has graciously provided for us HOPE!
Hope is something we cannot live without, and it affects our moods, our decisions and our dream for tomorrow.
And for you and I, we need to show and be diligent in our hope, we need to put hope on.
And like David, Psalm 42:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God.
LOOK TO EXPERIENCE THE FULL ASSURANCE OF HOPE! (Walk by faith, Practice Love, put on hope)
RECOGNISE THIS HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!
HOLD TIGHT ONTO OUR HOPE! Please don’t throw away your hope because it has great reward.
Jesus is hope personified. Surrender your life to Jesus. Place your life in his hands.
Put your hope and faith in the Christ, the Saviour of the world and don’t look back!

In this message and throughout coronavirus and this challenging times, miss-communication and the like. We can be, rest assured that as we let hope arise in our hearts, we can experience Gods presence throughout this ordeal. We can not afford to miss this wonderful opportunity to encounter Jesus.
We learn how important it is to preserve. To see, not only with our eyes but with our hearts. The two disciples on the road to Emmaus did not realise Jesus was with them.
While it is comforting to know amid our despair, sadness and shock, Jesus is with you! The greater tragedy here is for these two disciples who were not able to realise He was with them. Our journey can be similar, let’s pay attention to not just what we hear or see but what we know deep in our hearts.
I believe this series will challenge you to the core of your being. It’s so easy to miss what Jesus is doing or saying if we focus on the wrong things. My prayer is that you will see that Jesus is closer to you in your season and circumstances today!

The uncertainty of life and circumstances, highlights we are not alone! God is with us. To continue experiencing all that God had for Israel, involved at least two vital responses as they embarked on the unknown and uncertainty of today!

Hello, in this message, we look at the reactions and encounters of the disciples because of Jesus on resurrection Sunday. These insights help us to identify how we can also be personally impacted by Easter Sunday.
The resurrection is the most significant historical fact we have. Many witnessed Christ's appearances over 11x separate times, to a few and 100s.
The historical evidence and extra-biblical records speak into this narrative of the bible and verify and confirm these testimonies. On this day resurrection Sunday, We find that there were five appearances of Christ.
This account of the resurrection' - is an amazing glimpse into the very lives of those who followed Jesus. And if we can observe or learn anything it is that we must each carry in our hearts
A readiness for what's next scenario! Clearly, the disciples were not prepared.
If the resurrection of Jesus is going to influence our lives today and tomorrow and throughout our lifetime, it might include the following thoughts.
Some early Jewish Christians referred to themselves as "the way" probably coming from Isaiah 40:3, "prepare the way of the lord." The resurrection of Jesus is a demonstration of how we can live ready…
So what should a new way - include - because of Christ Jesus?
This is a new day and may our hearts be filled with
1-A new way will challenge our expectations.
2-A new way includes suddenly moments.
3-A new way will prepare for change encounters.
4-A new way will produce hope.
5-A new way will help re-prioritise our lives.
And while they walked to the tomb with apprehension and sadness, they run from the tomb with joy and excitement.
In this Easter message, Ken highlights what this Easter season means to us as believers. What is deemed as the most important & significant time for Christians in the year. Gathering together to focus on the significance of the good news & what we believe & celebrate most about God. It is a very different Easter. To be outside of a close physical gathering at Easter for the first time in our lives. But we have what is here – God’s word & presence & the good news of Jesus.
In the passage of Mark 15:21-451, I want to highlight two things:

The cry of Jesus

The isolation of Jesus
The whole gospel does not bypass the situation of Jesus – the cry & the isolation - but it announces the good news that comes out of the cry & isolation of Jesus. It announces who Jesus is & who we are.
It is called Good Friday for that reason.
To finish, with a comment I read: ‘Mark’s gospel invites us to re-frame our worship and rethink the good news.’
One day in the Roman Empire the good news of Jesus was announced in a time of panic & fear. That’s where we come to see that good news breaking through for ourselves & our friends today in Ulverstone & beyond.
