In each episode, host Madie Hudac and AHN Nursing Career Coaches will be joined by nurse educators, nurse leaders, and current staff to help students prepare for their clinical career.

Our Program Manager of the AHN Nurse Residency Program, Denise Ratkiewicz MSN, RN, NPD-BC, joins us to discuss the program. All of our Graduate Nurses are auto-enrolled in the AHN Nurse Residency Program to guide them through the transitional period. AHN's Nurse facilitators help new nurses develop their critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills throughout their first year journey.

Allegheny Health Network's Director of Sports Performance, Frank Velasquez, joins Madie Hudac to talk about overall wellness. Frank gives great insight and examples of ways to keep moving, stay healthy, and manage stress. Being a prior Strength Coach and Certified Athletic Trainer for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Frank talks about his journey and the tips he gives to those looking to better their overall performance. Frank explains how in order to meet our company mission of helping others embrace health, we must take care of ourselves first. Frank and AHN's Sports Performancewelcomes all to their facilities who are seeking "to do what they do, but do it better, or without pain."
