The Real Rebel Podcast is for the people who push the boundaries of our society. For the people who live on the fringe. For the people who aren't afraid to question the status quo and live life as exactly who they are. Not as who they should be. These are the people who make us uncomfortable. Who speak truth and break glass ceilings. Who aren't afraid to stand up and face themselves. Who refused to be oppressed and help us expand and evolve the edges of humanity. These are the Real Rebels. And this podcast is for them.
This episode has been a long time coming. News I've been excited to share for a long while now. A creation that sits very close to my heart and what I hope will prove to serve as an anchor and connection point for you on your journey home.
I'll leave it at that, and the rest you can learn about by tuning in. ;)
I love your face.
Your host,

I thought I would be able to produce this podcast every Tuesday, while also bringing forward everything else. Turns out my capacity is even lower than I thought these days. I feel you might be able to relate? Oof.
So, I'm putting the RRP into dormancy (a bit of a nap time) while I sink into creator mode and give my nervous system the space it needs.
The next time you hear from me will be when I have some new things to share with your lovely self.
Today I riff on...
If you're riding the same wavelength as me, I have a good question you can ask yourself...
What would it feel like and look like to live life from a state of being, and trusting that was enough? And what would I have to believe to be blocked from that becoming a reality?
Ok, I love your face. Really. Like a lot. I have so much respect and deep gratitude for this beautiful RRP crew.
See you soon(ish)!
Your host,
Katie B
Just to warn you, this episode is a powerful one. Nourishing... but powerful.
Originally, according to my calendar, today was supposed to be the reveal of the changes I've been working on behind the scenes. However, the project has called for more creative space. So I'm giving it.
In this episode, I touch on...
Thank you so much for hanging in there as I traverse the messiness of this time of transition. I cannot WAIT to share what I have cooking for you.
Lots of big warm hugs and kisses on the face.
Your Host,

Care to join me in a conversation with my Spiritual Fairy Godmother?
This episode marks the 4th one of transition month and it is jam-packed with so much wisdom from one of my favorite humans of all time.
Lynnette Duncan (@oracleofyoursoul) is a Life Purpose Astrologer, Energy & Empowerment Coach, and Spiritual Strategist. She has been by my side for many a meltdown and is one of the most nurturing and grounding presences.
We dive into so much on this episode.

To be completely honest, transition month between RRP and what it is becoming has been a challenge for me. The mushy middle of metamorphosis always is.
In today’s episode, my very dear friend Jac and I riff on all things change.
The scary steps we must take if we want to live in alignment, the last 1% of decision making being the hardest, the self-doubt that is inherent in almost all change, and the state of flow we enter once we click into and act on the truth of our inner-knowing.
Jac has been with me throughout the entirety of this crazy ride so I thought she would be the perfect person to have on. This episode is like sitting on the couch joining us for a chat.
We talk about…

I hope you enjoy this 3rd and final full episode of transition month as we inch closer and closer to the reveal.
I am both terrified and very excited.

If you’ve felt unmotivated, uninspired, untethered, apathetic, like you’ve lost all connection to your previous passions and your life is falling apart… welcome friend. You are walking alongside a mass of souls who are coming back home.
The intention behind this episode is to support you on that journey. To help you feel a little less alone, and to bring clarity and understanding to exactly what’s going on, why it’s happening, and what might be coming up next.
Kiley Redhead has been a mentor of mine for over 7-years and recently guided me through one of the most challenging and transformative times of my life thus far. The journey back home to myself. What she calls, the journey to self-realization.
In this episode, we both share our experience moving through the most difficult phase of the journey to self-realization. What I lovingly refer to as, “the pressure cooker.”
A few things we dive into on this episode…
I truly hope you find solace in this episode. Shedding away an entire lifetime of stories and ways of being is no joke. It will test you on every level and open up all of your deepest wounds. And, you signed up for this. It’s why you’re here. You wouldn’t have come if you didn’t know you could handle it.
Just know that if your life feels like it’s falling apart, you’re not wrong, you’re not making a mistake, and you are on what will be one of the most rewarding journies of your life. The key takeaways? Trust and allow.
You can find Kiley’s Offerings at The New School for Inspired Work.
And everything I offer in the way of support at katiebuemann.com.
This one landed for me in a new way.
We are all moving closer and closer to our core truth. To our beingness. The thing is, to get there we can go through a lot of trial and error. A lot of shedding of the old and stepping courageously (which doesn't mean without fear, but despite fear) into the new.
This episode is all about coming home to that truth. Coming home to self. Because at the end of the day, it's the only thing that will be left standing.
On the practical side of things - and I should get this on a t-shirt - things are changing.
"Things are changing" - Katie B (2019 - 2022) 😜
Yes. Yet again! Allowing myself to choose again, and again, until I find what feels aligned and true has been a huge lesson for me. One that has also required an insane amount of self-compassion and grace. Not so easy, but worth it.
So, here we are. In this episode, I give you all the details of what went down and what's up next.
My transition website is below where you can find links to all the things.
I love your face. Thank you for being here.

Hey you lovely human! This time is what I would refer to as an under-construction period for the Real Rebel Podcast. So I'm just dropping in for a very casual chat. I share my personal experience leaning deeper into trusting my innate knowing and getting more and more comfortable with just being. I also riff on other things like sovereignty, the creative process, the importance of holding the frequency of light, how our frequency is our greatest gift and other such ramblings.

In this episode, I riff on a few different things. Really it’s just a sort of catch up, hey how ya doin’, this is what I’ve been experiencing, maybe you can relate, sort of episode.
Maybe it was the solar eclipse, maybe it’s just because it was time, but I feel I’ve landed in a place I have been en route to for a long time. A mix of sweet relief, excitement, grief, and fear of the unknown are all showing up at the same time.
Still lots of work to do, still lots of action to take in the physical world, but I feel like a vast ocean was crossed and I’ve just landed on the shore.
Ah, life… you gorgeous mess.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on sovereignty and power.
In the world today we can see two things happening in contrast to each other. A rise in fear and a rise in love.
Which means what we’re witnessing, is people giving up their sovereignty as a result of being consumed by the fear narrative. There is a lack of trust in the self and trust in our own innate soul wisdom and power.
It also means that we are also seeing people activated into their light. We are seeing people being called to and stepping into their power and their sovereignty, and reconnecting with the truth that above all else, they can trust themselves.
This episode is meant to remind you of your own. If you feel called to your bigness, called to step into your magic and offer your medicine to this world, now is the time. And you ARE ready.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on living life through the filter of our heart’s resonance and the flow that results in doing so.
I think a lot of us have found ourselves living in our minds this and last year. With so much going on it’s hard not to set up camp in the old noggin. However, it also causes us to lose connection with our hearts. Which, vicious cycle, leads us to try and solve that feeling of disconnection with our minds because we feel so desperate to reconnect.
Now is the time for living from the heart. The only direction you will go living from the mind, is in circles.
Trust me, I’ve got the donut marks in the dirt to prove it. ;)

In this episode, I talk with Martha Beck an incredible human here on earth to help facilitate the transformation of consciousness.
Martha is a New York Times best-selling author and speaker. She holds three Harvard degrees in social science, and Oprah Winfrey has called her “one of the smartest women I know.” Martha is a passionate and engaging teacher, known for her unique combination of science, humor, and spirituality. Her newest book, The Way of Integrity: Finding the Path to Your True Self, was an instant New York Times Best Seller.
Personally, I think Martha is one of the most down-to-earth and real spiritual teachers out there. Our conversation both lit me and rooted me down. I hope it does the same for you.
Some topics we touch on…
I hope you enjoy this episode even just half as much as I enjoyed recording it for you. I couldn’t recommend Martha’s book enough. I found it incredibly supportive and will be going back to it again and again.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on exhaustion. I’ve been hearing a lot of people talk about just how exhausted they’ve been feeling, and personally have been feeling it too.
There’s nothing wrong with feeling exhausted. Anything we feel is simply a message from our body or soul letting us know what it needs. The trouble comes from the inner narrative we’ve been taught that says rest is a bad thing, and that we should push ourselves to always be performing and producing. This does not allow any space for the human experience. This is the programmed narrative for a cog in the industrial machine that is capitalism.
You are not a machine. This has been a tough couple of years. If you’re exhausted, you’re a normal human. And feeling exhausted does not mean you have failed. It means you are awake.

Ok you human. I think you’re great. Whether you’re exhausted or full of beans. Wherever you are, you’re not wrong for being there.
Remember to listen intently for the messages coming through. And when you hear them, act. Whether that be a nap, a moment of stillness, a walk in nature, or a naked dance around your house to the latest Jay-Z track. Just give yourself what you need. You’re a human.

In this episode, I riff on what I believe is a very common feeling this year (2021) of “blah-ness.”
The inspiration for this Quick Riff is from an article that I found extremely affirming and helpful called “There’s a Name for the Blah You’re Feeling: It’s Called Languishing.” It’s written by psychologist Adam Grant and explains why so many of us are feeling “blah” and what we can do about it.
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely feeling the effects of 2020. And although it’s important not to wallow in the past, in order to move forward in a positive direction, we first have to fully witness, understand, and release what is still sitting with us from the past.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on how to shift through moments of discomfort and choose differently.
As a highly sensitive person, I find that discomfort hits me on a deeper than average level. I know I’m certainly not alone in this. It’s normal to want to shift ourselves back into the comfort zone when things get a little tense.
Whether it be an emotion we haven’t processed or a belief that is popping up just as we’re about to do something new and different. However, this is also the thing that keeps us stuck and eventually wears away at our self-esteem.
I’ve been doing a little practice for the last few days that has really shifted what I choose for myself on a daily basis. It’s a simple, easy to remember, totally free thing.
Is it the end all be all? Nope. Not a chance. Does it help shift things towards the better? Yes.

I think you’re just a beautiful human. Love you lots and lots!
Your Host,
In this episode, I talk with Thirza Voysey founder of Soul Farm, Equine Therapy Intuitive and Guide, andauthor of The Wild In Us.
Thirza and I met in a really random way on one of the trails of the island we live on. I ended up going to her farm and getting a little taste of the power and beauty of horse therapy. That day I got a glimpse into what was once just a dream manifested into reality.
In this episode, you’ll hear about how she went from working 9-5 to moving her entire life and family to a small island and venturing into a vocation that she had no experience in. Thirza is a beautiful example of what can happen when we follow our hearts. That being said, as you know, the road was not without its bumps and detours which she shares super openly and honestly about.

This Audio Coffee is formatted a bit differently than usual. I pulled a card on Instagram this past week that really resonated with people. So I thought, why not just jump right into it. So instead of this episode being in two segments, as usual, we just dive right on in with the card reading.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on how often the hardest part about things coming to completion is the letting go part. It’s normal for endings to be bittersweet. To want to hold on to the known and the safe and feel a bit trepidatious about what’s ahead. This is a totally normal human feeling and it’s so important to not judge yourself for having it.
Change can be challenging enough as it is (although I do believe we can get better at it over time) so there’s no sense in adding extra pressure on an often already pressure-filled situation.
Also, happy full pink moon! How timely. :)

In this episode, I talk with the incomparable Janne Robinson for a second time and it was such a rich and varied conversation.
Janne originally came on in 2019 in an episode called Speaking Truth Unapologetically where we spoke about her upbringing, living in a place that resonates with the soul, how she came to her creative work, discernment and worth in relationships, and much, much more.
Janne is a wild at heart, eyes to the sky, feet on the ground kind of woman. Her capacity to show up truthfully and vulnerably is a gift cherished and enjoyed by all of those who enter her orbit. She is a poet, a coach, champion for truth, and all-around deeply inspiring human.
Some topics we touch on…
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it. There is so much to be gleaned from Janne’s wisdom and this is definitely one to keep coming back to. You will learn something new each time.

Another Audio Coffee recorded in the great outdoors! If you’re in the midst of a big scary change, this episode is for you.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on the messy uncomfortable feelings that often accompany big scary changes. In full honesty, it was a bit tough for me to record this episode as I’m going through a big change myself. However, I also feel it’s true that we’re never more connected to the feelings of an experience than when we’re actually in it.
This episode is meant to be like a big hug and a reminder that you’re a courageous and awesome human, and just because change can be a bit messy and more than a bit scary, doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. I hope my humanness makes you feel less alone in your humanness.
Plus, a guest appearance by a grasshopper, a buzzing bee, and a floatplane!

Today I join you from outside where you will hear birds chirping, the wind flowing, and spring in full bloom. If you’re feeling like you're a bit stuck and need a refresh, this is your episode.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on integrity cleansing for spring. I recently recorded an episode with Martha Beck in anticipation of her new book The Way of Integrity (available for pre-order now and due out April 13th, 2021), and was so inspired by the idea of integrity cleansing. In essence, it’s about checking in with your soul and seeing what in your life is in alignment and what isn’t. What drains you and what doesn’t.
In Lee Harris’s most recent energy update he spoke about April being a month of brightness and lightness as well as fast and full of opportunities. Which makes it a perfect time for something like an integrity cleanse.

In this episode, I talk with the lovely Kylie McBeath and as you’ll hear, it kind of blows my mind. Which in itself is an understatement. The transformation I experienced from integrating what she shared was quite profound and life-changing.
Kylie is, well, simply a wonderful human. She is also a Mentor, Writer, Earth Guardian, Medicine Woman, Mystic, co-founder of Zura Health, and co-host of the Zura Health Podcast.
This isn’t the first time I chatted with Kylie (it’s technically the 4th - but you’ll hear all about that in the episode), we also have another episode together that aired in 2019. Which, if you want to check out, is linked in the show notes.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing on a few different things that have helped me shift my perspective and get a new dose of inspired energy. I’m also recording from a back field in my Jeep. So that’s fun. :)
It’s so important to remember that we’re still living in circumstances (and have been for a while now) that are out of the norm, to say the least. Which means, if you’re still a little stuck or not exactly feeling like yourself, it’s totally normal. Be easy on yourself.

If you feel overwhelmed with ideas, things to do, inspirations to follow, and just the disorientation that can sometimes come with a new beginning, this episode is for you.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I’m riffing all on the overwhelm that can often accompany new chapters in life. Whether it be a new career, a relationship, life as a newly single human, a move to a new place, or whatever else, chances are there’s a lot going on. Making it really easy to slip into self-doubt, burnout, and old patterns we thought we’d dealt with long ago.

In this episode, I talk with the lovely Deborah Hanekamp, also known as Mama Medicine. Deborah is a pretty magical human, and our chat will be nourishing for anyone feeling a little pressured and stuck at the moment.
A few things we riff on…
Deborah has had quite the journey to get to where she is today. I love her transparency in telling the real truth of her story. Ups, downs, endings, beginnings, triumphs, and “failures”, and how she transformed through it all and continued to show up.
It sends the message that just because you’re having a hard time, or find yourself in an in-between place, doesn’t mean that’s the end of your story.
Deborah’s calling is to support people through a healing modality she transmits called Medicine Readings. She also has a beautiful book out called Ritual Baths as well as a membership called Space by Mama Medicine.
She has been mentioned by the likes of Vogue, The New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, and many other incredible publications.

If you feel a little stuck and like you can’t seem to make progress on that creative dream or idea, or any area of life really, then this episode is for you.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on the power of taking imperfect action. It’s a normal thing to get caught up in the illusion that we’re making progress when we’re digesting information.
Whether it be books, podcasts, blogs, online courses, all of it’s wonderful, but if it’s not followed up with some sort of action nothing seems to shift.
The key is to give ourselves the freedom of not only allowing our action to be imperfect, but almost expecting it. This way we give ourselves lots of wiggle room and a major pressure release to actually be a human when it comes to making a change in our life.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on the self-doubt the inevitably comes before change.
It’s so important to remember that self-doubt is a normal human reaction to change, to starting something new. Especially if that thing is asking us to expand our edges of what we’re comfortable with.
Don’t get lost looking at people’s highlight reels. Remember, anyone who’s done anything that has personally pushed their boundaries, has felt self-doubt. So, if you’re standing on the precipice of a new beginning and feel the inner rumblings of repetitive stories and old patterns, take a moment and tune in.

In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on why we feel the need to always be moving on to the next thing, and how we can gain a sense of peace and clarity with where we’re at now.
I’ve heard from a few people recently that they’re eager/anxious to move on to the next thing, but not sure what exactly it is. I feel and have felt this so many times as well. The trouble with always focusing on the next best thing, is that we can sometimes miss the lessons sitting right in front of us. Your Host,
If you’re a little unclear on your direction, feel a bit stuck, or are about to make some big moves in life this episode is for you.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on our True North and the importance of checking in with it before taking steps forward. Our True North is that part of us that always remains true. That part that we keep coming back to over and over again. It is woven into our DNA and whenever we align ourselves with it, whenever we are in integrity with our True North, life just tends to flow with ease.
The trouble comes when we tip the scales a few degrees off what feels true to us and start living a life that doesn’t really feel like our own. Like something is missing.
I hope this episode can help you connect back into your True North. Or TN if I’m being super cool.
A few things I riff on in this episode…
I hope you find this episode helpful. It’s no big secret that it’s a good idea to slow down and check-in before we make big steps or changes in life. However, sometimes it helps to have the reminder to actually do it.

If you’re having a hard time making a decision and find yourself stuck in limbo land, this might just help you sort it out.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on a powerful perspective shift I recently landed on when it comes to making decisions. I’ve never been a wizard at making decisions. It can be tough when we don’t trust ourselves fully and we’re used to living life from the lens of scarcity (usually for good reason!)
However, after a while, you get sick of not being in the driver's seat of your own life. So you commit to making more empowered decisions for yourself. Which can then be followed by our mind taking us on a little fear ride.
What if I make the wrong decision? What if it doesn't work out? What if I get rejected? What if I lose myself? And on and on it goes.
This can leave us in a place of stagnancy and swimming in stale energy. Eventually, we must decide, or the Universe will decide for us.
A few things I riff on in this episode…
I’m right there with you when it comes to being challenged by making tough decisions. However, I’ve really found the question posed in this episode to be extremely helpful and freeing for me. I hope it does the same for you!
Remember how powerful you are. Remember how far you’ve come. You are not the same person you once were.

I love your face.
Your Host,
If you find yourself ready for the new beginning yet a little pressured and overwhelmed, this might be just the remedy.
In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on the importance of creating energetic space both within and around us. When we’re moving throughout our day from a space of pressure, expectation, and fear, ultimately we contract and cut ourselves off from our own power. Not to mention exhaust ourselves and have a tough time in the process.
This episode is all about slowing down and soothing the nervous system so we can create some space to connect back to our hearts. It’s about letting go of the “nose to the grindstone” mental construct and embracing the power of the heart.
A few things I riff on in this episode…
I hope this episode soothes your nervous system and reminds you to connect back to your beautiful self.

In this episode, I talk with Kate Horsman a Nutritionist, Counsellor, Mindfulness Leader, and Integrative Healing Practitioner. Kate is passionate about supporting individuals through brave conversations that facilitate a reconnection and reclamation of self using integrative methods to cultivate agency, resiliency, and empowerment.
Our conversation is peppered with a bit of everything, but mostly circles around the rebirth process and how to navigate through it in a self-compassionate and supportive way.
We touch on…
This episode with Kate was incredibly grounding and nourishing in so many ways. Listening to it will do wonders for your nervous system.
Plus, as an added bonus, we have two guest appearances from her dog Mary-Jane and of course, E.T. (the extraterrestrial). Yes, you read that right. 😉

If you’re feeling a little untethered, unfocused, and like you’re ready to connect to your power and creative energy, this episode is pour vous! (that’s french for “for you.” I felt the urge to be fancy just there.)
In this Audio Coffee episode, I riff on how our sovereignty and innocence work together and how the journey we take of forgetting and remembering ourselves is actually working perfectly for us.
A few things I riff on in this episode…
I also choose a card (choose, not pull) from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck. You’ll learn the reason why I chose this card and not randomly pulled it in the episode (I can’t just give all the goodies away for free! You gotta tune in!)

In this episode, I riff on this beautiful and very powerful full moon we’ve got going on for January 28th, 2021. The first full moon of the year!
This one just flowed out of me. My hope is that it will help you navigate your feelings and help you use this potent time to your advantage. I give some insights on my perception and past experience with the full moon, as well as pose a question or two you can ask yourself in order to help transmute some of the energy.
Honestly, a part of me also just hopes this gives you a giggle and creates a bit of space in your energy and your day. Because holy smokes… the moon can really stir that emotional pot.

In this episode, I talk with Debra Silverman who, I have to say, might just be one of my favorite humans of all time.
Debra’s journey with astrology started in the Dentist chair and resulted in over 40-years of working professionally to help thousands of individuals achieve emotional health and wisdom based on their unique personality and the four elements: water, air earth, and fire. Which we dive deeper into in this episode. Spoiler alert, my missing element is earth and I am pretty much all air and water. As Debra lovingly put it, “we’re just two airheads having a chat".
We talk about…
And MUCH, much more.

Hey you human.
It’s been a while since I sat down with a mic and set of notes (which of course, I never stick to), and it felt good.
The RRP was put on hold for what was originally going to be just one week but faster than I could blink turned into 3-months. To the day in fact. It goes without saying that 2020 has been a bit of an overwhelming and wild ride. For me, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The thing that tipped me much faster in the direction I already was headed. Total burnout.
This year has done that for most of us. It has forced us to come face-to-face with our deepest darkest demons. Which ultimately is a very good thing, but in the process of it all, not exactly fun.
In this episode, I go over why exactly I paused the podcast, the biggest takeaways from my leave, and what plans are coming down the pipeline for this next iteration as it unfolds over the coming months. I also address how things will be changing in regards to deepening and expanding the kind of guests I have on. Meaning, including people from all different walks of life, all different colors, all different experiences, and from all different places.
For now, I will leave you to dive into this very haphazard episode as I get my recording sea legs back.
I’ve missed you.

We talk about our True Home, the home within, and how to best support our body’s in order to have a clearer outlook on life. We also dive into how to BE in times of uncertainty, how to be with and transmute uncomfortable emotions, the importance of breathing and meditation, and many, many other good things.

In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on the process of shifting into new creation and inviting light back into our lives. I originally was going to call this episode “Why the F*ck Not” but changed my mind as I sometimes do. However, in essence, the sentiment is really quite similar.
And that is to let go, to play, to dream, to start to welcome the light back in.
When we’ve been in a process of integration for a while, it can be such a relief when things start to shift toward the better. It can feel as if we’ve been looking through a blurry unfocused camera lens and finally things are starting to come into focus.
It doesn’t mean we necessarily have the picture in frame yet. But it means we’re on our way. It’s just a matter of zeroing in on the vision we know we want to capture for ourselves.
For the next month, things are going to be a bit different over here at the RRP.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, the topic up for discussion is hot off the heels of your host taking some space to be a human.
One thing I realized while giving myself that space was, number one, the importance of allowing ourselves the space we need to face and process life as it comes. There simply isn’t enough time or respect given to us on a societal level to be human. And this I believe is perhaps one of the biggest ways we harm ourselves as a collective.
And second, the importance of shifting how we view being “professional” and how those who have a platform to speak on need to bridge the gap between themselves and the people they speak to. Far too often we see people in positions of influence who choose to project the narrative that they never “break”. That they never experience the falling apart that is so much a natural part of the process of being human. Of learning. Of expansion and integration.
It’s so important we show each other our humanness. We need to make being human and experiencing normal human emotions totally acceptable and not something we feel we should be hiding in order to protect ourselves.
Phew! That’s that.
For the next month, things are going to be a bit different over here at the RRP.

Orignal Episode Description
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on taking action and focusing on joy. It feels as if the energy of 2020 is already here which means it’s a wonderful time to get in creation mode.
Who do you want to step into 2020 as? Or better yet, who do you want to step into TODAY as?
So much of our experiences in life are a representation of what’s going on in our minds. Our thoughts create emotions, our emotions influence our actions, and our actions determine what kind of life we see play out in front of us.
Energy really is everything. If we want to see changes in our physical world we must first shift the state of our internal world.

Orginal Episode Description
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on getting unstuck. It is certain that throughout our lives there will be times where the energy is flowing and times where it feels as if it has come to a grinding halt. This is a totally natural process brought on by the inevitable wheel of change. But that doesn’t make it any easier.
In this episode, I share the two questions/lists I made to help myself get out of my own moment (a rather long one) of being stuck. Now, these aren’t the end all be all, but very simply a way to get the energy flowing in the right direction. I’ve put the questions below as well in case you’re a more visual person and need to see them written down.
Two questions to ask/lists to create to help yourself get unstuck…
The three questions to pose to the items on the “where is my energy naturally wanting to flow” list…
In this episode, I talk with Isaac Johnson a photographer, director, producer, and life-long adventurer who has spent his life creating stories and weaving in his enthusiasm. He’s worked for the likes of Land Rover, Canon, NBC Universal, BMW, and many more, as well as traveled the world and shot with some of the most well-known photographers out there.
But he certainly didn’t start there…
Through his natural gift of storytelling, Isaac shares with us his hero’s journey and his commitment to answering the call and taking uncomfortable leaps over and over again. All the while remaining true to his desire to help people have adventures.
I was immediately drawn to the feeling of freedom that Isaac’s photography emanated. Something I feel that, especially now as we’re confined to our homes, many of us are craving on a very deep level. As we ask ourselves the questions, “Is this the life I really want to live? Or is there more for me? More freedom, more joy, more adventure?” It helps to have some examples of what’s possible.
I hope this is that for you.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on nothing. We just have fun.
The end.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode, I talk with Vikki Johnson a Mentor, Author, Speaker, Chaplain, and all-around wonderful human being. If you’re having a rough day and need a little nourishment, this episode will be like a soothing remedy for your soul. Chicken soup in podcast form perhaps?
I discovered Vikki through RRP Crew member Jamila White. Jamila was on Vikki’s radio show Soul Wealth Radio and Vikki quoted one of my pieces of writing from Instagram. Once I heard Vikki I just knew I had to have her on. And she did not disappoint!
A few stand out things we talk about include the importance of being still, the gift of these times, purpose, why having a vision is key, what it’s important to dream again and how, asking for help, seeing each other, and many many other things (such as midday naps and toilet paper as currency).
I hope you get as much out of this episode as I did recording it.
Lots and lots of love,
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on patience and why, especially now, it’s so important to be patient with yourself.
The process of change and transformation isn’t exactly the most comfortable of things. Which of course can cause us to want to GTFO of it as fast as possible. On top of that, we place an insane amount of pressure on ourselves to do things in a certain timeframe and in a certain way. This causes us to energetically tighten our grip around the situation and ultimately draw out the process longer than it needs to be.
When we can take a step back, breathe, and allow whatever guidance or circumstances we’re meant to experience unfold before us, it makes life a heck of a lot easier.
You don’t have to push the boulder up the hill by yourself, and you don’t have to have it all figured out today. Be patient with yourself. Especially now.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode, I talk with Jon Lupin who you might know as The Poetry Bandit. Jon is a published poet and author who has written three beautiful books, My Sober Moon, You Only Love Me When I’m Suffering, and Encyclopedia of a Broken Heart.
I think one of the most powerful things we can do is to share our stories (both trials and triumphs) with each other. This is exactly what Jon does. After having to face some very big mountains, including alcoholism, OCD (or Pure OT), heartbreak, and many of life’s other unexpected challenges, Jon deeply understands what it means to walk through the fire.
This also means that he has a plethora of wisdom to share which we dive deep into in this episode. A few examples of what we talk about include the importance of community and reaching out for help, conquering resentment, self-acceptance, the power of creative work, the importance of vulnerability, self-worth, and much, much more.
Thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!

In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, things are a bit different.
This episode is much shorter than usual (about half the length). I had originally recorded a very long, very wordy episode. However, as I started to listen back to it I thought… enough. Enough! It was information overload.
I think we’re all feeling a bit overwhelmed right now with everything going on. Sometimes we just need to be reminded that we’re not some broken human in need of constant repair. It’s ok to go slow. It’s ok to not DO so much right now. You’re ok. Just as you are. Exactly where you are.
And that’s enough for today. :)

In this episode, I talk with Mimi Young founder of Ceremonie and Open Minds Performance (and just an all-around awesome human being). If you’re interested in the mystical and the mysterious you will LOVE this episode.
As a Shamanic Intuitive and Neurofeedback Practitioner Mimi does a brilliant job of weaving together the ancient and the modern to create a truly powerful healing experience. What most interested me was Mimi’s Shamanic work and ability to journey through different worlds and connect to spirit allies. She even interpreted a few wild dreams of mine which was such a cool experience. We talk about so many awesome things that I decided to make a list. :)
You’ll hear us talk about…
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I (clearly) enjoyed recording it. I would highly encourage you to check out her offers (linked below) if any of this piqued your interest!

In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on slowness, ease, and internal reorganization.
First and foremost I dive into the basics. Especially right now we need to remind ourselves to slow down. We need to consciously catch ourselves when we're sending ourselves into a mental/emotional tailspin and, with compassion and understanding, tell ourselves a new story.
Along that same thread, I also dive into EASE and how we can invite more ease into our lives when things feel everything but easy. This is a chance to strengthen the muscle of your mind and catch yourself in the kinds of stories that are causing undue suffering in your daily life.
And finally, we get into the internal reorganization that is going on both globally and personally on an internal level. Which, of course, is one and the same. I ask you some questions that will help start to open up and shift your energy as well as offer up some perspectives and ways you can support yourself today.
Ok you lovely. That’s all for today!

In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on stepping into the new you. Right now on our planet, we’re undergoing a massive shift. The world as we once knew it will never be the same. And this is a very good thing.
Since we are a global collective, just as the earth is going through a massive transformation, many are finding they are going through the same kind of rebirth internally. Which only makes sense. This time of being forced to stay in our homes is very much like a period of gestation. A time where we can slowly birth this new version of who we are now.
Because I guarantee you have shifted on some level.
In order to do this, really, we don’t have to do anything because it’s already happening. It’s like labor has started and it’s only a matter of time. There are some things you can do to make it easier on yourself though. In this Monday’s Audio Coffee, I pose a few questions you can ask yourself to support you on this journey of rebirth.
There is a bigger, more potent, more free version of yourself here now. It’s up to you to see it and step into these new shoes you were destined to fill.
Your Host - Katie B

In this episode, I talk with Keith Condliffe Naturopathic Doctor and deeply insightful human I have been working with for a number of years. I asked Dr. Keith to come on to share his perspective on COVID19 and perhaps help ease our minds and give us some ideas on a few ways we can support ourselves naturally during this time.
A little background on Dr. Keith, he has been practicing naturopathic medicine for 12 years in Vancouver BC and recently made the leap across the water to beautiful Comox on Vancouver Island. What I LOVE about how Dr. Keith practices, and one of the reasons why I think he’s so sought after, is that he uses a bioenergetic technique called Elemental Medicine. Essentially, he scans your energy and has a conversation with your energetic field to determine what would best support your body. It’s very gentle, powerful, and, in my opinion, incredibly cool.
Some things we touch on in this episode include the relation between fear and viral energy, the important reminder COVID19 is providing us, the power of nature and plants, how to ground and soothe anxious energy, what organs to support now, and the natural healing modalities that might be helpful to look into now.
Ok, that’s it for now. I hope you find this special mini-episode supportive.

In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on staying sane during isolation.
Depending on who you are, staying at home can be either a gift from the heavens or a special kind of nightmare. Regardless of whether you’re an introvert or extrovert, it can be a challenge to spend every waking minute in the same location.
In the past couple of years, I’ve become somewhat of a wizard at being alone and staying home (you’ll hear more as to why in this episode) so I want to impart some of my best pieces of wisdom when to comes to spending a lot of time in your casa.
Uncomfortable emotions that tend to rise up when we’re isolated from our community and of course, our vices. Ultimately for the better? Yes. Easy? Not exactly.
I hope this episode gives you a little support and relief if you find yourself suddenly making best friends with your fridge. ;)
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode, I talk with Dr. Jeremy Goldberg founder of Long Distance Love Bombs. Jeremy is a writer, speaker, and coach on a mission to make kindness cool, empathy popular, and compassion commonplace. He also happens to be a love bombing kindness pirate. Which I think is pretty spectacular.
We talk about MANY juicy things like living from the heart vs. the mind, taking a leap of faith, changing our internal story, the process of personal growth, self-belief, getting unstuck, creativity, self-love, gratitude, creating change, facing adversity, and MUCH much more.
He was just droppin’ love bombs all over the place.
Another thing that makes this episode special, is that Jeremy made the two bus trek all the way to my home to sit down and have an IN-PERSON chat with me which was such a treat.
I hope you enjoy this much-needed dose of love as much as I did.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on the energy of COVID19 and how you can support yourself.
These are some wild times. I’m also not surprised at what is coming up for the earth right now. Just as it is with us humans, we experience contraction before expansion. The period of contraction is often tense, uncomfortable, worrisome, and forces us to face the shit no longer serving us. I believe that this is what is happening to the world on a global scale. Yes it is painful to face our deepest fears and look at our darkest corners, but it is so beautiful when eventually the weight is lifted, the air is fresh, and a new beginning rises across the horizon.
In this episode, I talk about viral energy and how it feels like anxiety in the body, how viral energy is fear energy, how we can be pragmatic but at the same time not give into or contribute the fear narrative, how we can support ourselves where we are, and the gift of opportunity that sits in front of us now.
I hope this episode makes you feel lighter, loved, and held.
That would make me a very happy human.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on happiness. I pose a few questions you can ask yourself to check in on where you stand in regards to YOUR happiness. Almost like a zooming out and making sure we’re on the right place on the map before going further.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily hustle and bustle of life. So much so that sometimes we can start to feel a low-level misdirection/disconnection with ourselves. It’s so important to check in and see if we’re moving towards the things that make us happy on an individual level. Not what we are told will make us happy or is expected of us when it comes to the life decisions we make.
With spring in the air, the desire to create is REAL and before bringing something into the world it’s super helpful to check in and see if that thing is even the thing you want. Doing so saves us a TON of time and energy in the future. Not to mention, when we’re moving from a place of happiness, we’re tapped into our soul-self and the work we bring forward has that power behind it.
The questions I asked in this episode, in case you’re wanting to pose them to yourself are…
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on stepping before you’re really “ready”.
It’s easy to see ourselves broken and in need of constant healing. So much so that we get caught in healing cycles. Ones where we’re reaching for some kind of ultimate perfection of self. This can lead to spending WAY too much time in the waiting room of life. Waiting to be ready. Waiting to be strong enough, smart enough, rich enough, healthy enough, slim enough. You name it.
It is when we get ourselves into this mindset that we miss out on the thing that will actually get us to where we want to go, the thing that will actually shape us into the person we want to become. Actually doing it. Stepping into the arena with just the clothes on our back and our bare hands ready to do the best we can with whatever comes our way.
It’s about leaping and learning how to fly on the way down. If we believe that we are broken we need to be “fully healed” before calling forward our dreams, then we will be waiting forever.
Because the truth is dear Rebel, you were never broken in the first place.
You awesome as sh*t human.
Your Host - Katie B
We’re back! Last week’s episode, unfortunately, didn’t air because of a small water spillage situation. My laptop had to spend a few nights in the mac hospital but has come out the other side cleaner and shinier than ever! #thankgod
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on the new expansive energy we’re playing in. It really is an all bets are off kind of situation. Which can feel a little chaotic if we haven’t grounded ourselves and taken care of our root chakra. I talked about the importance of managing the root chakra in the episode that never ended up airing, so I will get that one out soon.
In this episode, it is all about the freedom we have to create now. It’s almost as if a layer of weight has been released. Old stories have lost their potency and stickiness and it really is time to play and create. Which just so happens to coincide very nicely with spring starting to peek its head around the corner.
Some questions to ask yourself now…
I love your face.
Your Host - Katie B
Also a reminder to you lovely humans that I’m offering 50% off my Rebel Reflection Sessions for the month of February. Drop me a link here if you’re interested.

Your Host,
Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on the inevitable moments of suspension in life when we’re in deep integration and tend to fear missing out or falling behind.
It is totally normal to worry a bit when things slow down in life. Especially since we live in a society that puts a lot of emphasis and importance on speed and performance. However, what is not made enough room for, is moments where life skips a beat. Where things dip for a bit and seem to slow down, almost to a crawl.
These are moments of suspension, and not only are they normal, but they are required for growth. If we can shift our perspective around moments like this, then we can stop resisting them and instead start to receive the plentiful gifts that come from relaxing into them. In doing so, we not only speed up the process, but make it much easier on ourselves.
Your gifts, your dreams, your true self, none of it is going anywhere. So take a deep breathe where you are, and fly a little compassion your way.
The time will come for things to speed up once again. In the meantime, relax into the idea that you’re going to be just fine.
Because you will.
Your Host,
Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about the creative expanse at when it’s time to harvest the fruits of our labor.
After every contraction follows an expansion. This is the energy we find ourselves in now. One that is vast, light, and open for powerful creation. It is time to play! It is time to expect miracles. To birth the creative ideas that get us excited. It’s time to follow the breadcrumbs leading us to more than we could have ever imagined.
Just as much as we sink into the darkness for her to teach us her lessons, we must allow ourselves the freedom to leap into the lightness. To trust that we’re stronger now that we were before, and even though our bigness, or the feeling of expansion can be scary, it doesn’t mean it’s something we actually need to be afraid of.
It just means we’re tapping into life itself. Living, breathing, pulsating life.
It’s time for you to step forward in your fullness. You will be supported in doing so.
Your Host,
Katie B
In this episode, I talk with Sheri Salata who sat down in her Napa Valley home to chat with me about her new book The Beautiful No (and MANY other things). As we sat in our individual kitchens and talked through our individual screens (oh the wonders of technology), I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Sheri is most known for her 20+ year career with Oprah Winfrey. She was the final executive producer of the Oprah Winfrey show and President of Harpo Studios and OWN.
She has since continued to thrive in her creative work and recently wrote her book The Beautiful No which we dive deep into this episode. We talk about the middle of life, energetic frequency, the power of our stories, attaching to our struggle, the shame around the language of work-life balance, using happiness as our compass and much, much more.
If you want more of Sheri after this episode, you can tune into her podcast with her friend Nancy called The Sheri and Nancy Show, or do like I did and settle in with her audiobook and a cup of tea.
I hope you enjoyed this episode with Sheri as much as I enjoyed recording it.
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about how our energetic presence influences the world around us and the world we create.
Now is a time of creative expanse. In front of us is a new year, new energy, and limitless potential. The energetic volume of the world has been turned up drastically. Which means we have to be even more mindful of the part we play. We can choose to let the chaos of these times send us down a rabbit hole of defeat and despair, or we can choose to side with love.
Either way, with the creative space ahead and the power of the energy here now, we are in a prime position to create whichever reality we choose to focus on. The question is, will you allow yourself to believe in the possibility you hold? And will you trust that it is safe to side with love? Or will you slip into the opposite?
As always the choice remains entirely your own.
Your Host,
Katie B
In this episode, I talk with Vienna Pharaon a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who practices out of her own private practice Mindful Marriage & Family Therapy in Manhattan, New York.
You also might know Vienna as the Relationship Expert behind the well-known @mindfulmft account on Instagram.
What I love most about Vienna, and what was abundantly clear throughout this episode, is that she is genuine in her desire to support couples and individuals through the process of transformation. She truly believes that her clients have the capacity to create beautiful, long-lasting change.
This is exactly why I wanted to dig into the process of change and why it can be such a struggle. We talk about her personal transformation, why we sometimes get stuck, how to release ourselves from those stuck places and much more.
This is the first guest episode of 2020, an entirely new decade and an invitation to do things differently this time. What better way to usher in the new year with a deep conversation around the power and process of transformation.
I hope you enjoy!
Your Host - Katie B
In this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we dive into the energy of the new year and how 2020 is the time for you to step into the arena.
We touch on the importance of inspired action versus logical/over-planned action and what uncomfortable action means. Essentially, at the risk of sounding beyond cheesy, this episode is somewhat of a pep talk for the new year. Hopefully, one that won’t turn your stomach. ☺️
As always there is a card pull, this time with two cards, one from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck and the other the Sacred Rebels Oracle and a Monday Mashup. The Mashup this week is featuring some of the Rebel Causes of previous RRP guests. The idea was to help inspire you and remind you to tune back into yours.
So that’s it! Welcome to the “soft open” of the new year. 😉🤓
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re closing the show out for 2019.
This episode was recorded with a bit of sick host and a tired soul from what can only be described as a washing machine of a year. I offer up one final riff on the two options we have as we enter the new year, a card pull that reflects the year and is an invitation for the next few weeks, and a final Monday Mashup that starts out inspirational and ends on a bit of a funny note.
I hope you enjoy, and it’s been a pleasure chillin’ with you.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re riffing all on the pressure that tends to surface around this time of year. And in truth, that can surface at any point in time during our lives.
So much of the pressure we feel is self-imposed. It is the result of us believing a story about who we’re supposed to be, or must be, in order to be accepted. In order to find belonging in our tribe or community.
The trouble is, when we focus so much of our mind on goals, appearances, and things that lower our energetic frequency, we begin to attract situations to ourselves that match the frequency. And thus begins the frustrating spiral of adding more pressure in order to get ourselves out of the situation that misdirected pressure ignited in the first place.
There is a way to get things done, and not only get them done but invite in more of the miraculous, that doesn’t involve pushing, forcing, or contraction of our energy. We dive into that here. So tune in you lovely human person!
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about change and the important role our energetic frequency and our ability to face resistance play in whether or not we’re successful in making real change in our lives.
When we want to make a change in our lives, we have to learn to work with both of these things. Both hold equal importance and in order to get to where you want to go, and to invite in the things you really desire, you need to learn to work with both.
In this episode we dive into why each is important, the role they both play, and how to put them into practice in the real world. When we learn to master our energetic frequency as well as our capacity to stand in discomfort while we’re taking new and different action, our life opens up in a whole new way.
Suddenly anything is possible and we trust ourselves to show up in the way we deserve.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about blowing our own mind. In other words, shifting our perspective and trying something we’ve never tried before. Pushing ourselves beyond what our mind thought possible.
Often times when we’re stuck in a current situation, or we see patterns repeat in our lives, it’s because we’re thinking and acting in repetitive loops. This episode is all about breaking those loops.
As always we also do a card pull (this time I pulled two) one from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck and the other from the Sacred Rebels Oracle deck. Both of which were pulled recently! So there really is a strong message trying to come through right now. And of course, the Monday Mashup this week, if I do say so myself, is damn good.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we riff on taking action and focusing on joy. It feels as if the energy of 2020 is already here which means it’s a wonderful time to get in creation mode.
Who do you want to step into 2020 as? Or better yet, who do you want to step into NOW as?
So much of our experiences in life are a representation of what’s going on in our minds. Our thoughts create emotions, our emotions influence our actions, and our actions determine what kind of life we see play out in front of us.
Energy really is everything. If we want to see changes in our physical world we must first shift the state of our internal world.
Your Host,
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, the topic up for discussion is hot off the heels of your host taking some space to be a human.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about what happens when you make the commitment to reclaim yourself and live your truth. Meaning… we talk about shit hitting the fan and how to move through it with a little more peace. :) When you make the decision to show up for yourself fully and very simply accept exactly who you are, very often that’s the moment when things start to crumble around us. It’s almost as if the universe is grabbing us by our ankles, holding us upside-down, and shaking all of the shit we don’t need out of our pockets. Which can suck. A lot. But, and you’ve heard this before, it’s all for your benefit. It’s all so that you can shed what no longer resonates with where you’re going. And oftentimes, there are some super sticky things we have trouble letting go of that we might need a little help with. Which sometimes means being held upside-down. And when you think about it, it just a sign of how much power you have that from one intention, from one decision, the universe stood up and was like… “Ok! Let’s f*cking GO!” Your Host, Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we dive into the world of moon cycles and how to best work with them. Which is essentially the show in a nutshell. Work with the energy not against it. When the new moon shows up, usually about 3 days before I start to get a little jittery. There seems to be a lot more energy and even the idea of chilling out or calming down seems next to impossible. However, if we learn to go with it and use it to our advantage, we can then harness its power and create some pretty incredible things in our lives. Speaking of creating, and this is a pretty big deal for me, I’ve decided to create something of my own. Now, if you know me, you know I don’t just put things out there willy nilly. I only release things if I am truly excited to do so. After requests for more and to go deeper I’ve decided to launch the Rebel Rising Program. I’m not going to go too far into it here, but if you click the link you can learn more. It’s probably one of the most unique intuitive coaching programs out there with two very special gifts at the end. The Beta program launches today (October 28th, 2019) with only 3 spots at a discounted rate. I’ve added the intro video just below, or you can click here to learn more. It’s time to shift! Your Host, Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, I basically just fawn over how awesome you are. Sometimes when we’re in the thick of it and we feel alone, it helps to know that we’re loved. Plain and simple. People can sometimes have a hard time expressing love. Especially if they were raised in an environment where verbal expression of love wasn’t at the top of the agenda. So this is that. A bit of a remedy for the soul if you happen to find yourself fighting some big inner demons at the moment. I also riff on doubt and volume at which it tends to rise to when we’re shifting our lives for the better. Or leveling up you might say. Our minds are a powerful thing and we have the ability to control where it focuses its power. We can either chose to believe the doubt, or turn down its volume and direct our attention towards a more loving outlook. So yes, this gets a bit mushy. But truthfully I can’t help myself. I really do think you’re awesome. And I think you deserve to hear it. Verbally. With words. Outloud. Ok. I’m done. :) Your Host, Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Miki Agrawal. Canadian born entrepreneur and co-founder of WILD (the acclaimed farm-to-table, alternative pizza concept), THINX (a high-tech, period-proof underwear brand), Speax (a high-tech pee-proof underwear brand that helps women manage light bladder leakage), and most recently TUSHY (a company that is revolutionizing the American toilet category with a modern, affordable, designer bidet attachment that both upgrades human health & hygiene as well as the environment from wasteful toilet paper consumption).
Miki is a serial social entrepreneur and the recipient of The Tribeca Film Festival’s “Disruptive Innovation Award”, she was named “2017 Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum”, “Social Entrepreneur of the Year” by the World Technology Summit, she was one of INC Magazine’s “Most Impressive Women Entrepreneurs of 2016”, Forbes’ “Top 20 Millennials on a Mission”, and made the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine in 2016. Most recently, she was named Fast Company’s Most Creative People in 2018.
Phew! So it goes without saying that Miki is on a mission to stir shit up in the best possible way.
What I love most about Miki, is her drive to stand steady in her truth. To speak the words that many dare not speak and to do the things many are too afraid to do. She is a Rebel in every sense of the word. Pushing boundaries, expanding the edges of society, and doing it while still remembering what it’s all really about.
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about ways to release ourselves from the grip of, well… ourselves! First off, if you’re listening to this episode or even just intrigued by it, ku-freaking-dos to you. It means that you’re bumping up against some real change. And change, as you well know, can be a terrifying thing. A good thing! But also terrifying. The points we dive into are seeing fear and not resisting it, telling yourself a new story (crafting a new enticing vision that’s so badass you can’t help but feel giddy when you think about it), the importance of not taking things too seriously (aka having fun), the importance of acting even if we feel we’re not ready, and a few other tidbits and surprises I didn’t expect to riff on. As I like to say this is simply a reminder of wisdom already encoded in you on some level. Because sometimes when we’re in the throws of big scary and exciting new changes, we can forget who the eff we are. Your Host, Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about asking ourselves the question, “what if I assumed the best?”
When we’re starting something new, or have been pushed out of our comfort zone because we’re growing and by nature growth also means change, it can be easy to slip into our fearful mind. The part of us that says things like… “who are you to think that you can do this?”, or “you’re just going to fall flat on your face again”, or “no one else in your family has ever reached done this, therefore, you can’t either.”
The slew of bullshit stories is truly endless. Unless, of course, we chose to put a stop to them. Unless we make the conscious decision to focus on everything that could go right.
There is a fine balance in being in the logical, practical human world, and allowing ourselves to dream big enough, and then believe in those dreams in order to make real change in our lives.
What if, as you look forward into the vast expanse of this scary new dream, instead of listening to the fear, you listened to the love. What if you focused all of your energy and attention on this dream of yours not only coming true and going well but going so well that your mind is completely blown. Going so well that you couldn’t even imagine how good it is.
How about we start there instead?
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about the frustration that often shows up right before change does.
There seems to be this boiling point that we hit right before things shift. And we hit it because things are getting so dang uncomfortable where we are, that we just can’t stand it any longer. In this episode, I use the analogy of a backpack we’ve been carrying around full of stuff. Some of the things we know it’s time to get rid of because they’re just getting way too heavy to cart around.
We know that we can’t bring them where we’re going next.
This is all about how to be in that space just before the shift. How to make sure that as you move forward you’re not bringing any of that old heaviness with you. It’s about moving forward and claiming what actually brings you joy, and then leaving the rest behind all the while trusting that there is something more for you on the other side. As the saying goes it’s always darkest before the dawn.
Plus, I share a nifty exercise to help visualize this process of moving forward with only the things you really desire. It involves a desk and sexual innuendo! Ooo la la!
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Michelle Steilen aka Estrojen the founder of Moxi Skates and the Angel City Derby Girls. A woman who is literally rolling through life.
Michelle is such a prime example of what happens when we accept who we are enough to be able to see ourselves clearly, and then not only believe in that self, but take the courageous steps and work hard enough to live a life that really lights us up.
Heeding her mother’s advice told to her at a young age to “always do work that you have fun doing” Michelle has created a life that is just that. Which includes an awesome community of misfits and fast movers just like her.
Our chat was incredibly inspiring, informative, and just downright full of joy. If you’re feeling a little down and out or a little stuck and are looking for a little more Moxi (pun intended) in your life, then you’re going to want to listen to this one.
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about the danger of measuring ourselves up against the constant slew of numbers that exist in our daily lives and of getting too attached to the metrics.
When we start to pay too much attention to how much money is in the bank, how many followers we have, or the number of the size of our clothing, we disconnect from our hearts. We start to place our value in the numbers that we see as opposed to who we are and the potential that rests within us.
Enough.
You are not your numbers. You are so much more than that. When we live from a place of constant comparison, expectation, and judgment of ourselves, we only perpetuate more of the same in our lives. But when we step back, and start living from the heart first and foremost, the numbers adjusting in coherence with the raising of our vibration, is a byproduct.
Live from the heart and f*ck the numbers. The rest will come. And this way you’ll have a lot more fun in the process.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Traver Boehm author, speaker, and founder of The Man Uncivilized Movement. Traver inspires millions of men to shift their experience of masculinity by combining the Primal Masculine with the Divine Masculine. So… big work. And after speaking to him it’s clear he’s fit for the task.
If you’re a man, or you know one that feels stuck, uninspired, is spending a lot of time numbing out… this is definitely an episode to pass along.
Previously Traver was a strength and conditioning coach, Crossfit gym owner, MMA fighter, bodyguard, acupuncturist, and surfer. He was living his life very much in his masculine energy, ticking off the boxes as he went, but never really diving into the rich deep murky waters that can very often be the feminine energy.
He experienced life as many men do in this society and culture. Numbing out in order to avoid the emotions that had been suppressed and buried over the years. A story we’re all too familiar with at this point.
Until, of course, a course altering time in his life presented itself and he was forced to face pain in a way he never had before. And thus began his dark night of the soul and the catapult that launched him into the work he’s doing now and his latest book Man Uncivilized.
But, as it goes, Traver tells this story much better than I do. So tune in and buckle up.
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about joy being the only true shortcut. When we get stuck in a place where things have slowed right down, or we feel like things just aren’t working out. It’s very easy to get anxious. It’s very easy to feel like we have to run faster, push harder, and apply as much force as possible to help get us through as quickly as we can.
The opposite ends up happening. Not only do things slow down and get more frustrating, but we also become exhausted and very often our self-esteem takes a hit.
When we’re connected to our joy, to what makes us feel good, we’re on the right path. We open ourselves up to flow and we begin to allow all those amazing things we’ve been hoping for, start to show up at our doorstep. But we first have to trust. We have to trust that number one it’s ok to feel good. That we don’t have to struggle to live a good life here, and second that we live in a loving and supportive universe.
Sometimes we just need to let ourselves off the hook, trust that when things slow down it just means it’s time to integrate. It just means that things are about to ramp up soon and to appreciate and use this downtime to gather our energy and prepare for all of the awesomeness headed our way.

On this episode, I talk with Leah Brathwaite and let me tell you, it was incredibly fun, transformative, and deeply inspiring. I love everything about Leah and the work she does. Dare I say she’s a Soul Sister of sorts.
Leah is a Soul Advisor and Author of the best selling book “A New Way of Life". Her work is all about freedom and coming home to yourself. It’s far too often the story that we get so disconnected from ourselves that we end up living a life that feels nothing like us. A life where we feel trapped and uninspired.
This is exactly the experience Leah went through. She had everything she was “supposed” to have. The house, the car, the job, the marriage, only to realize she actually didn’t want any of it. None of it was truly her. And so she set off on the journey of coming home to herself. One that she calls a “constant transformation”. Which I would wholeheartedly agree with.
She now lives her life doing exactly what she wants to do. She has allowed herself to not only see her desires, but to really claim them and welcome them into her life. But she will be the first to tell you it’s not always roses and sunshine. It’s constant growing, new learning, and understanding on an even deeper level what it means to truly live a life that is free.
So, if you feel trapped, disconnected, uninspired, anxious, or lost, then this episode should hit you right where you need it to. It’s my hope that it does.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about what to do when things aren’t shifting. When we know we’re where we’re headed, but things just don’t seem to be clicking or moving.
This is all about being ok with where we’re at and releasing resistance. It’s all about taking the time to reconnect back to ourselves and acknowledging what we actually desire. Not what we’re told we should want.
This one is a little softer than usual for those times where we need a little gentle space to reconnect. A little reminder that ease is possible and important if we want to move forward without having to lift a boulder to do so.
That’s about it.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Aaron Rose who can be best described as a love technician. More specifically, he is a motivational speaker, transformational coach, writer, and educator who work involves supporting public figures in owning their voice and stepping into greater leadership and impact in their own unique way.
Sitting down and talking with Aaron was as easy and breathing. One of the things I appreciate the most about him is the clear and concise way he describes very elusive and deeply complex spiritual topics. And we dive into all of it including energy, trust, bullying, suicide, money, intentions, and their importance, honoring our desires, owning our power and why we often shy away from it, our need to be seen, the importance of rest, how time is changing, and much more.
Aaron also takes us through his list of birthday intentions for 2019. So many of them stirred up realizations within myself and stoked the fire in my own belly, so I’m hoping in listening to them it will do the same for you.
If you’re looking for clarity, peace of mind, inspiration, and a dose of love this is episode might just be the one for you today.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about the fear of the unknown. About that feeling we all have as we’re about to make a big decision or take a new step in a direction we’ve never been before.
Fear is sometime that is very much a part of the human experience. It’s not about being fearless, but about recognizing that the fear we imagine is just that, a figment of our imagination. A story we’ve crafted using past experience or the stories of other people’s past experiences.
The bottom line is, that change means doing things differently. It means stepping into the unknown. We can never know for sure what’s on the other side of that scary decision. But what we can do is trust in our capacity to handle whatever it is that waits for us on the other side.
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about finding comfort in discomfort. It’s easy to have a vision, to dream, it’s an entirely different ball game when it comes to actually taking action on those dreams.
We dream because we’re ready to step out of our current reality and leap into a more expanded version of ourselves and our life. Which means that our actions are going to have to stretch to match this expansion. This means we’ve gotta get uncomfortable.
Choosing the comfortable choice in the short-term means discomfort in the long-term and vice versa. The truth is that growth isn’t comfortable. We have to learn to block out the inner noise when we’re making changes, when we’re doing things differently.
In this Audio Coffee episode that’s exactly what I riff on. We’re diving into the nuts and bolts of dreams and uncomfortable actions and how to actually hold on through the uncomfortable part so we can reap the rewards of momentary discomfort and long-term gain.
It’s time to unstick from the old and leap into that new good shit you’ve been dreaming of. And it starts with one uncomfortable step after the other.
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about boldness and courage.
If we want a vision that excites us, it needs to be one big and bold enough to inspire us to move towards it. And if we have a vision that is big and bold it will require us to take bold steps towards it. And if we want to take those bold steps we have to have the courage to do so.
That’s pretty much what this entire episode is about. Getting excited enough about where you’re going, and then what is actually required to get there. I also riff on the two sticking points many (if not all of us) inevitably come up against in the process and how to get past them.
All of this, of course, stems from our inner sense of worth. From the belief that we’re worth such a wonderful beautiful life in the first place.
The time to act is now. And if you’re stepping towards a big dream those steps will be scary. But that doesn’t mean you throw in the towel. That doesn’t mean you turn around.
It just means you gather up every ounce of courage you’ve got and press on.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, We’re riffing on dreaming.
When we’ve been in a shadow period of our lives, or a dark night of the soul it’s so important to first rest. To give ourselves a break from the massive shifts we’ve been making and rejuvenate ourselves before we open the doors to dreaming again.
Often times we can’t even dream until we have given ourselves this time of rest without expectation. Meaning resting and trusting that when the time is right we’ll be called to action, but first we must fall fully into rest. And from rest comes release, and release is a necessary component to allowing those dreamy doors to fully open again.
I also dive into why we might feel blocked and like we can’t dream and some questions we can ask ourselves to open our imagination again and feeling into our dreams.
The is an innocence and playfulness to dreaming. One that requires us to extract ourselves from reality and let ourselves just be free, to push the boundaries of what’s possible, and to invite in the impossible.
I hope you enjoy this one. I might be a bit bias… but I think it’s a goodie.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about honest organization and nesting. What the heck am I talking about?
Good question.
When we’ve been working and calling forward our desires for a long time, when we’ve walked through the fire (and countless others after that), we can be sure that whatever energy we’ve been putting out there, is on its way back.
However, the universe doesn’t return energy instantly. It usually skips a beat or two. Which can be an excellent time for some honest organization or nesting (for lack of a better word).
In other words, it’s a great time to prepare for everything that we’ve been calling forward. It’s a great time to get really honest with ourselves about certain messes in certain dark corners we’ve been allowing to collect copious amounts of dust.
These are the things that slowly drain our energy over time. Perhaps it’s our finances? A relationship we know we’ve should have vamoosed from a long time ago? A shift in our career we’ve been needing to make? Or a certain body movement situation we’ve been putting on the back burner?
Whatever it is, we owe it to ourselves to clear it out of our reality so we can more fully hold space for the things we’ve been walking through countless fires for.

On this episode, I talk with Kiley Redhead my mentor, guide, and go-to person when I can’t see through the fog. Kiley is an incredible human and through her coaching has helped many people find clarity and reconnect to their source of inspiration in order to find their inspired work.
In 2018, as it was true for many, Kiley went through a huge transformational shift that left her unable to get out of bed for weeks at a time. This massive period of integration left her with a deep understanding of the meaning “I exist”. She found herself in a whole new world like nothing she had experienced before. I believe through listening to Kiley and her insights she has reconnected with, you will find a great deal of ease and peace of mind. If I were to give this episode a catchphrase is would be that it’s all so much simpler than we allow it to be.
So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by this new energy or by the massive shifts taking place, I hope that this conversation gives you some reprieve and solidifies what you already know to be true deep down.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, the topic of the day is fogginess. When we feel unsure and uninspired as to what the next steps are, it can stir up some rather uncomfortable feelings. We can feel as if we’re stuck in a thick fog and there’s no way out. In this episode I dive into why that is, and what I find is the best thing to do, or sometimes not do, when we find ourselves in such a thick fog. Which minor spoiler alert, it all starts with a connection to ourselves and tuning in to what it is we really want for ourselves. As usual I also pull a card and put together a Monday Mash-Up to help you get your week started off on the right foot. Your Host - Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Jordan Gray a sex and relationship coach who has been dedicated to helping people thrive in relationships for the past 10 years. He is also a speaker, #1 best selling author on Amazon, incredible writer, and hilarious human in general. He has been featured in Huffington Post, The New York Times, BBC, Self, Cosmo, Psychology Today, Business Insider, Yahoo!, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Elephant Journal, and The Good Men Project.
Our chat was easy, fun, and incredibly powerful. Many of you will relate to Jordan’s story of being a highly sensitive individual and having to learn how to relate to and integrate past and present experiences in a helpful and healthy way.
We go into the beginnings of his journey and his experience with being bullied by his siblings, the moment when he tried to kill himself, the points of transition the lead to transformations in his life, dealing with burnout, heartbreak, what he’s learning and integrating now, and much more.
As with most of my guests, these days this chat could have gone on for hours if we let it. So I hope that you are able to connect with what we riffed on in the time we had, and more importantly, I hope you take a second to scroll through some of the incredible articles Jordan has posted up on his website.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we dive into owning your space in the arena. When we “level up” or enter a new space in our lives where we suddenly feel new again (small fish big pond kind of vibes), we can start to question ourselves and turn our gaze back to the comfort of where we came from. We very easily forget that we’re the person that called all of this new awesomeness our way in the first place.
This is where the upper limit thing comes into play. Where we default back into old stories telling us of all the reasons why we can’t hold the space we’ve freshly stepped into. And this is also where we need to catch ourselves. To catch the stories that have been playing in our mind for far too long. We have to take the time to honor and respect who we are now. Not look back and reference the person we once were.
This episode is all about that. And a few other things… but you’ll see. ;)

P.S. Thank you for being here. I think you’re lovely.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're featuring RRP Crew members Iris Schlagwein, Martina Zeisack, and Joanna Delaney. The question we are posing today is "Where do you find meaning in your life?
The Band of Rebels series was designed to act as a platform for the voices of the RRP Community. So often we listen to a podcast and don't ever connect with fellow listeners. We also live in a world where we're judged by the number of followers we have. Often times we only end up hearing the wisdom and voices of those who have large social followings. This isn't to say those humans are lovely humans, I just feel it's important to branch out. Just because someone has 10 followers doesn't mean they don't know some good sh*t worth sharing.
I firmly believe that we all have a deep inner-wisdom, regardless of the number of followers we have to our name. This episode of the Real Rebel Podcast is a little different. I will be celebrating my birthday in a few days, and usually, around this time, I feel we tend to want to reflect. So instead of keeping my reflections to myself, I thought I would share them with you. I think so often we forget to look back and appreciate where we have been. The speed of our culture and the external pressure we sometimes feel can cause us to focus heavily on the future. Just as we have to have appreciation and respect for all of the good people, experiences, and things in our lives, we also have to give ourselves that same appreciation and respect. Usually, when we look back, we realize just how much we’ve grown and how far we’ve come. I hope that at the very least this episode stirs your soul a little bit and perhaps can be something you come back to when you need a little lovin’. Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we jam on taking a stand for what we really need. It can be so easy to give to others before we give to ourselves. Especially if we identify as a sensitive or empathic person. It’s also easy, at least in the moment, to attach ourselves to someone else’s dream and therefore in-turn, their agenda. When we do so, we’re abandoning ourselves and disconnecting from our own vision and from what really lights us up. This is just a long road down the path of unfulfillment and resentment. It can be a scary thing to stand in the space of taking action on what we need. It can bring up all sorts of old beliefs around self-worth and how one should behave vs. not behave. It can also bring about change. A change in your vibration, a change in how you show up in the world, which means a potential loss/dropping off of people, experiences, and opportunities that no longer jive with your turned up frequency. I dive into all of this and more as well as pull a card that blends so well with the riff topic for this week. I hope you find some solace, nourishment, and peace of mind from this week’s Audio Coffee episode. Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast, I talk with myself! Things have been a little slow moving lately. I talk a LOT about the natural ebbs and flows of life and how they’re inevitable. I think we tend to give ourselves such a hard time when life slows down or we need to take a pause or a rest. But the fact remains that living life at full-speed all the time just isn’t sustainable.
So, I thought I would walk my talk and instead of pushing what naturally didn’t want to happen this week (a guest episode), I chose to release resistance, surrender to what was and just jam out on a solo episode.
I decided to use this episode as a chance to dive deep into the topic of being in an ebb. I riff on how we can find peace of mind during a time that can sometimes want to make us want to run and hide under the covers. Which, no judgment, I’m currently writing this very post while submerged under my giant duvet. #justbeingahuman
Essentially this is all in the spirit of going with the natural currents of life. Yes, action is important, yes hard work is required, yes focus and drive are key players. But we are a part of nature and as such, we do better when we decide to dance with universal law instead of trying to ninja kick it to the ground so it can just get the eff out of our way (best of luck friend).
So here’s to not pushing. Especially when life is asking you to pause and not push. Here’s to taking a breath, zooming out, recalibrating, and not berating ourselves for not being perfect robots with calculator brains and literal buns of steel.
The f*cking end.
Your Host - Katie B (currently in her PJ’s appearing to not have her sh*t together)
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we dive into the topic of adjusting our vision and overflow. When we have been in an ebb and have let go or shed some outdated parts of ourselves, there can be a moment of pause or suspension before we click into a time of flow. In these moments we can often find it a bit unsettling as we feel naked and a bit empty. It’s almost as if we’re in a bit of an identity crisis. We’re definitely no longer who we were which is why it’s so important to readjust and recalibrate our vision.
Having a vision that inspires us and pulls us forward is so important. Otherwise, we end up trodding along without any real direction. This can often lead us feeling frustrated, lost, and in a continued state of suspension. So when we find ourselves in this place it’s important to ask ourselves questions like…
Essentially it’s about expanding your edges and writing a new story, a new beat, that you will walk to. It just has to be inspiring enough that it will pull you forward and carry you through those moments when things get a little dark and the road gets a little bumpy.
We talk about all of this and more including what to look out for as you recalibrate your vision, the idea of living fearlessly, and how we can open ourselves up to overflow.

On this episode, we honor Mindy. On July 3rd, 2018 Megan Scraper (aka Mindy the Lion) passed away in a tragic accident over Shannon Falls in Squamish BC along with her boyfriend Alexey Lyakh and their friend Ryker Gamble. The release of this episode marks the 1-year mark since their passing. Mindy and I had sat down near the end of 2017 to record an episode for the Real Rebel Podcast. I remember her has incredibly real, down-to-earth, and full of this vibrancy and thirst for a life well-lived. To which I can say, she most definitely met that desire. This episode consists of clips from my previous chat with her. I wanted to create something that captured the wisdom and knowledge she so clearly had in spades, but also the essence of who she was. It was my absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity and privilege to have been able to sit down and chat with Mindy. I hope this episode will serve as another ring in the ripple effect her life has had on the world. Your Host - Katie B
On this episode of the RRP Audio Coffee, I’m riffing all on the rebirth process and more specifically the part of the rebirth I like to call “the space between places”. That leg of our journey where we’re being asked to step up, but the fear of the unknown can often lead us feeling frozen in place or stuck in the mud. Often times it is the taking action part of our process that is the most challenging part. Either we’re used to things being shitty so we stick with the familiar, or we’re afraid of what’s to come so we… stick to the familiar. Hopefully, this episode gives you some peace and spaciousness of mind so you can find enough stillness to act from a place of inspiration and trust that you have everything you need to take you where you need to go on this next leg of your journey.

On this episode, I talk with Samy Nour Younes an incredible Trans Activist who recently did an incredible TedTalk called “A Short History of Trans People’s Long Fight for Equality”. At the date of this podcast episode release his talk currently stands at over 1.2 million views.
It was an absolute pleasure to talk with Sam for many reasons. One being that he is incredibly knowledgable and wise especially when it comes to the history and current experience of trans people. My eyes were opened more than once as Sam took me through his personal experience as well as the experience of other groups within the trans community.
Sam is definitely a force for good on this earth and with his strong voice and pureness of heart and intention. once cannot even begin to estimate the full impact of his decision to speak his truth, and speak for those who have yet to find the fullness in their own voice.
I hope you enjoy this heartfelt, educational, and incredibly inspirational episode as much as I did recording it.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we dive into receiving and why we sometimes find it difficult to allow what we truly desire into our lives. We also talk about why becoming the most fully-expressed version of ourselves is so important. Especially when it comes to manifesting those desires we dream of receiving.

On this episode, I talk with Lee Harris Intuitive Guide, Musician, Artist, Channel to the Z’s, Space Holder, and all-around wonderful human being.
I started following Lee’s work when my mentor introduced me to his energy readings. I was very much in a dark night of the soul. Lee’s guidance and intuitive insight was a major source of support during a difficult time, and I know many would echo this sentiment.
I thoroughly enjoyed sitting and chatting with Lee. We dove into many of the topics he touches on in his new book Energy Speaks (which I am a huge advocate for) including his childhood and earlier years, channeling the Z’s, abundance and receiving, women and their rise, the current nature of the masculine and feminine energies, self-expression, letting go, fully stepping into our power, and much much more.
Lee is a wealth of information and wisdom and doing work in the world from a space of pure intention. I highly recommend checking out his work or at the very least tuning into his monthly energy updates as a place to start.
I hope you enjoy this chat as much as I did recording it!

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about the expectations we place on ourselves and our journey through life. Often times we hear the narrative that after the fall comes the rise. Which is true. However, the trouble comes when we turn our attention to exactly when the f*ck we’re going to get out of this uncomfortable situation already! As opposed to surrendering to where we are.
The important thing to remember is that our path and our journey is completely different from anyone else’s. And although there will be similarities in patterns and universal truths, how it all plays out for each of us individually is entirely unique. So, the moral of this one? If you feel behind? You’re not. You’re right on time. And maybe the darkness has a little something more to teach you before you launch off in another direction.

On this episode, I talk with Amanda and Jac founders of The Green Beauty Collective and just two wonderful ladies in general. I spoke with Amana and Jac on a previous episode which is linked below and was absolutely thrilled that they wanted to come on again. They bring such a good and honest energy to the conversation anytime we get together.
This time we talked about a few different things, including (and of course) makeup and how the world of natural beauty products has shifted since they started, each of our relationships to beauty, the insecurities that pop up for all of us, the elitism that is present in the world of green beauty business, what they’ve learned in business this past year, and much more.
And of course, as it is with there YouTube videos, this episode was full of lots of giggles and funny moments. If you need something both light and thoughtful for your day, you’ll enjoy listening to this one.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk about death and rebirth. I actually recorded this one twice. The first time I forgot to press record, and I also hadn’t added the part about honoring the death process within us when change is asking us to step forward.
Often times we can mistake the death of our old-self as a sign we’re failing or falling back into old ways of being. When in fact, sometimes, it is actually just the loud crescendo of a person we are letting go of.

On this episode, I talk with Harry Baker a full-time poet and the youngest Poetry Grand Slam Champion ever in 2012. Harry has also given a number of TedTalks (ahem 6 to be exact), author of a book of poetry called The Sunshine Kid, maths and science wiz, and (in my opinion) future rapper.
I had an absolutely wonderful time sitting down and chatting with Harry. He has an excellent sense of humor and approaches his work from a very true and heartfelt place. We talk about a lot of things including certainty and uncertainty in career choices, creating for the joy of it, self-doubt, self-acceptance, the power of words and much much more.
We’re also very lucky in the fact that Harry agreed to perform three of his pieces on the podcast. The three pieces being The Scientist and the Bumble Bee, The Sunshine Kid, and 22. All of which I personally LOVE.
I hope you enjoy!
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee Edition, we talk all about abundance. Since abundance is both an extremely overused term and also associated with money, it can be a bit of a tricky subject to bring up. However, one that definitely needs to be looked at.
Consider this episode a soft-open to abundance. I’m no expert, but it’s something I’m starting to open the door to, so perhaps we can help each other along the way.

On this episode, I talk with Heather Pennell co-founder of Rising Woman and Facilitator and Guide of shadow-work, conscious relationship, breath-work, and tantric practices. Not to mention an incredibly beautiful writer.
This is Heather’s second time on the Real Rebel Podcast and I was so happy she was willing to sit down for a chat again. This time we got to talk a little more casually about whatever came up naturally in our conversation. Which included Heather’s struggles with PCOS, birth control, mental health, the importance of feeling our feelings, relationships, abandonment wounds and why they’re so prevalent in our society today, a woman’s Moon Time (a.k.a. her period), the power of plant medicine, and much much more.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re riffing on trusting ourselves, the universe, the pause that comes before takeoff, and how to use it to our advantage.
Trust is a big thing. When we learn to trust, whether it be ourselves, the universe, or others, we begin to breathe a little deeper. And when we breathe a little deeper, we are able to shift our frequency and open the doors to all of the abundance waiting for us. It's the trusting, the learning to fall back and trust you will be caught, where the rubber meets the road.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're doing things a bit differently. For the span of the next 6 weeks, I’ll be asking 18 Rebels the same question. “What advice would you give your 20-year-old-self?” The panel of Real Rebels for this episode are Jess Dales from Jess Wandering, Kylie McBeath from Zura Health, and Sheleana Aiyana from Rising Woman.
Each of their answers was taken from the end of their previous episodes when I ask them this question in the rapid-fire segment.
The Band of Rebels series puts the mic in the hands of people you might not otherwise hear from while simultaneously connects you lovely listeners with other listeners whose wisdom might just be the remedy you needed.

On this episode, I talk with Sheleana Aiyana the founder of Rising Woman. This episode, and the stories that Sheleana has to share within it, are incredibly powerful. As you will hear, Sheleana experienced and incredibly traumatic childhood. One that has shaped her into the powerful woman she is today. Her story is one of loss, self—acceptance, and transformation. All of which are woven into the work she does through Rising Woman along with her co-founder Heather Pennell.
There is a lot to be gained from the wisdom Sheleana has to share with the world. I hope this episode brings you some pieces that resonate and help you along your journey of acceptance and transformation. I know Sheleana hopes for the same.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee, we’re riffing on taking action the easy way. Which, shocker, comes down to alignment first. I even so excited I almost knock the mic over at one point. Lots of hand gestures usually mean a good episode.
Energy really is everything. when we get ourselves into energetic alignment, or when we "click-in" as I like to call it, we begin to open up the doors to abundance. Which can feel like going from pushing a boulder up a hill, to flowing downstream a beautiful river.
As always there is a card pull (three this time) and a Monday Mashup make especially for your lovely ears.

On this episode, I talk with Kylie McBeath Writer, Health Coach, Emotional Expert, Speaker, Co-Founder of Zura Health, and Host of the Zura Health Podcast. And as far as I’m concerned she is a source of a lot of light in this world. We recorded this episode for the second time due to a few technical hiccups on my end. So I was more than happy when she invited me into her home to record round two.
Not only do we have a lot of fun in this episode, we also talk about a lot of really important and often touchy subjects. The main one being money and the changes Kylie has had to go through in order to create some major shifts in her relationship to it. We also riff on things like burnout, slow living, relationship power dynamics, and much more.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about energy glitches and feeling overwhelmed.
When we shift our energy and open the doors, it can be overwhelming as all new opportunities come flooding in. It’s easy to want to say yes to everything, even if the decision to accept those things is based on old energies of lack.
Whether it's lack of self-worth, abundance, time… whatever it might be. Our mind can kick into drive as it pulls on old decision-making patterns. Our hearts, however, will quickly let us know that something is off. This is a term I’m coining as “energy glitching”. When things are energetically in misalignment with your soul’s purpose.
As always, there is a card pull and one of my favorite things to create for you glorious humans, the Monday Mashup.

On this episode, I talk with Jess Dales, a woman often without a permanent physical address who has decided to spend her life traveling the world and getting as close to nature as she can, as often as she can. She has decided to answer the call of her heart and take the path less traveled. Literally and figuratively.
We sit down together and talk about making decisions based on outside expectations, the universe making decisions made for us, recognizing what we really want, coming home, the power and importance of nature, life as an introvert with a massive following, the need to live more slowly more often, the similarities we all share, and much more.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about holding space for new things.
When new and exciting things happen in our lives, it can be easy to revert back to old habitual ways of thinking. Perhaps thoughts come up around how we don’t think we deserve such goodness in our lives, or maybe we think we can’t handle it and will drop the ball. Whatever it may be, new opportunities often require us to stretch a bit. Which means stepping out of our zone of chill to do so. Which means uncomfortable feelings. Ones that make our minds jump into action tasked with the job of keeping us safe and small.
This Audio Coffee episode is meant to give you a little reminder of that as well as encourage you to step forward, even if it feels like you’re doing so totally naked whilst walking a floss-thin rope. As always, there is a card pull and a groovy Monday Mashup that I hope does all of the things for your heart.
Much love!

on the journey of a lifetime in search of the answers to the questions “what have we forgotten?” and “What do we need to know?”. Her story unfolds along the longest trail in the world, the 24,000 km Trans Canada Trail, where she has already spent the last three years and estimates another two.
Dianne has met so many incredible people and communities on her path so far that have taught her invaluable lessons about connection (to the land and each other), purpose, ceremony, trust, and so much more. However, perhaps the most incredible person she has faced on this journey of 500 Days in the Wild, is herself.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, I was inspired by a personal situation where I felt an intense amount of anger. Which, for me is something I would have, in the past, shut down immediately.
It started to bubble to the surface and my initial reaction was to push it back down where it came from. Which, I feel is a common way many people (especially women) have of dealing with anger
So, in a nutshell? I riff on anger, uncomfortable emotions, and the pressure we put on ourselves to be happy at all times (#absolutelyridiculousnotionifyouaskme). As usual, I also do a card pull (this time 3 from 3 different decks) as well as a Monday Mashup at the end for your listening pleasure.

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, I talk all about the edge many of us seem to be currently standing on in regard to listening to our minds vs. our hearts and the pause that comes right before change.
There seems to be a moment of pause right before we leap fully leap into the new beginnings and the wheels of momentum start turning. These moments before a big leap or fresh start can often be fraught with internal chatter telling us to dial it down, turn back, or that we don’t have what it takes to go the distance. Hopefully, this Audio Coffee episode on being mindful of your mind can help remedy that.
As always I pull a card (this time three) from the energy decks and whip together a juicy Monday Mashup for your listening pleasure.

On this episode, I talk with Chloe Elgar an International Psychic Medium and Spiritual Teacher. Chloe has been working and evolving in the spiritual world to guide groups and individuals on the journey to the truth of who they are. Speaking from personal experience working with Chloe I can confidently say she’s doing the work she’s meant to be doing in the world. She also was on the podcast previously (episode 028), so this time we got play around more and dive into some spiritual concepts that blew my mind a little bit. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did recording it!
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk trust, big leaps, and abundance.
The theme for this episode was suggested by a Real Rebel Podcast Crew member Amanda on Instagram. Her initial suggestion read, “fully jumping and surrendering, how to trust we will be supported in abundance”. Right when I read it I thought, YES! Mostly because I’ve been hearing people facing the same thing right now, including myself.
So, all of that said, I riff on the above-mentioned topic, pull a card from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck (and surprise surprise it is right on point), and whip up a longer than usual Monday Mashup. All in hopes to soothe your soul. Even just for a little bit.

On this episode, I talk with Kimberley McMullen and, as always, it is an absolute pleasure. Kim is an incredibly passionate and driven woman full of lots of light and love to give to this world. You can either find her working her arse off or somewhere in the woods most likely with her dog Fox.
We talk about a lot of really powerful topics in this episode including body image, self-love, the power of nature, hard work, how to say yes in a nourishing way, and MUCH more. I hope you enjoy listening to this much as I did recording it.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, the subject for this week's riff is new beginnings.
When we’re facing a new beginning, it can be both exciting and terrifying. Old stories can start to resurface about how we shouldn’t be stepping forward in such a big way and about how we should be playing it safe. This is simply resistance showing up in droves. It does so in order to keep you safe and small.
However, now is not the time for smallness or the perceived safety of comfort. It is time for stretching and expanding. For pushing our own boundaries and seeing what we're really capable of. Chances are it's far more than you imagined.
I bring up some insight and tools that can help you on this new path you’re taking. Not to mention there is a two-card pull and a BADASS Monday Mashup.

On this episode, I talk with my Mom! From the moment I saw that an episode would be released on my Mom’s birthday, I wanted to have her on. This is a bit out of the normal routine, but it might be my favorite one yet. There are LOTS of giggles and laughs as well as insightful moments and insight especially around motherhood and raising four kids as a stay at home Mom. We had a lot of fun recording and I hope that translates to your ears. I also hope this episode lightens your day as much as it did while I was editing it.
Happy Birthday Mom!
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re very simply taking a pause, resting, and celebrating.
It’s easy to get caught up in the pressure (internal or external) to constantly push and move forward. So much so that we forget to take pause and look back at how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown. It’s ok to stop. It’s ok to take a break. And it most certainly is ok to celebrate. So let’s!
Of course, as always, I pull a card from my energy decks, this time it's from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck, and put together a Monday Mashup to kick off your rest and celebration. Because good god you deserve it.

On this episode, I talk with Ben Goresky from Evolving Man and we dive really deep. Not only do we talk about his experience with drug addiction and going through rehab, but also get into the experiences and challenges of the 21st century man. On top of that, we talk about shadow work, the masculine and feminine, relationships, and why brotherhood is so important. Ben also drops a TON of resources which I have linked to in the show notes for you to reference.
This is a very rich and insightful episode and one that I personally will be going back to in the future. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee, we’re talking all about how our energy influences our experience and what we can do to shift it.
It’s so easy for us to get caught up in a repetitive cycle as we carry old energy into each new day. The truth is, we actually have the power to shift our experience without grinding our gears (aka without using matter to change matter). We do this by focusing on our inner world and what kind of energy we’re emitting. When we become our own sun, we act as a magnet attracting everything else that’s resonated on that same frequency. In a nutshell.

On this episode, I talk with Robyn and Jak co-founders of GirlTribe where they provide business and soul solutions for women ready to level up.
I was drawn to Jak and Robyn because of the realness they bring forth in a space that can sometimes become very much the opposite. They’re both incredibly strong advocates for women stepping into their power and both come from a place that is very pure of heart and intention. Talking to Robyn and Jak felt like being surrounded by that kind of feminine of support only women who have fully accepted themselves and stepped into their own power can bring forward
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re talking all about boundaries, why setting them will change everything, and how to go about putting them in place in a healthy way.
This episode goes a little longer than usual, and I barely skim the surface, so that just means there’s more to come. Side note, I talk a LOT about self-love, self-respect, and believing that you deserve to feel good. Whether its boundaries we set with ourselves or with others, what matters is that we set them and honor them.
I also pull a card, as usual, and we have an awesome Monday Mashup all centered around boundaries and relationships.

On this episode, I talk with Connor Beaton founder of ManTalks. Connor is the founder of ManTalks an international organization focused on men’s health, wellness, success, and fulfillment. He is also a speaker, podcast host, facilitator, and coach working with men and women from all over the world. Before founding ManTalks, Connor had a brief career as an opera singer and worked at Apple, leading high-performance sales and operations teams. Since founding ManTalks, Connor has spoken on stage at TEDx, taken ManTalks to over a dozen cities internationally and has been featured on platforms like Forbes, Influencive, HeForShe, The Good Men Project, UN Women, CBC, CBS, and the National Post.
This conversation blew my mind on so many levels. I learned an incredible amount of highly useful and insightful information. I hope it brings the same to you. Enjoy!
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re talking all about shadow work as well as what’s going on with the masculine and feminine energies. Both of these topics are pretty vast, ok, incredibly vast, and will definitely be brought back up again in the future.
There is so much shifting now with awareness around both shadow work and the balancing of masculine and feminine energy. In this episode, we dive into what shadow work is, how to do (or at least begin to do it), and why it's an important concept to integrate.
As always I pull a card for the collective (which you can check out below) and we finish off with the Monday Mashup all focused around shadow work.

On this episode, I talk with Erin Treloar founder of Raw Beauty Talks and Free To Be Talks. Erin is all about self-love and self-acceptance and is not afraid to really open up about the hard stuff. Which we definitely get into in this powerful and vulnerable episode.
What initially drew me to Erin was the incredibly raw and honest images she posts of REAL women and their REAL bodies on her @rawbeautytalks Instagram account. If you haven’t already, please do check it out. It’s so incredibly refreshing and empowering. So, without further ado… lets dive right in.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we’re talking all about connection and how to connect back to yourself when you feel out of sorts.
Feeling out of sorts is a totally normal human thing. It's a part of the process of integration and expansion. It's the way we learn more about what we don't and do want in our lives. When we feel uncomfortable and we show up to that experience with presence and gentle curiosity, we can then receive the gifts the situation is offering us and move forward much more quickly and with a lot more ease. Basically I jam on this topic the entire episode. :)
As always I also pull a card from one of the energy decks and it is definitely representative of the times. I hope you enjoy this episode’s Monday Mashup as I find it to be particularly powerful this week. Ok, you lovely human. I hope you enjoy.

On this episode, I talk with Ciele Beau an up and coming artist and designer uses her gift of synesthesia - a condition where the brain mixes up the senses and stimulation of one sensory pathway leading to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory pathway, for example - she FEELS color and SEES shapes when she hears sound.
We talk all about art, having the confidence to step forward and do your work, setting intentions, self-doubt, comparison, music, and much more.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about self-acceptance. Something so simple and foundational to a healthy and fulfilling life, yet also something the majority of us lovely humans grapple with on a very deep level.
People are very simply seeking permission to be themselves. Permission to walk through life as who they are. Permission to just BE.
When we make space for ourselves to become the full-expressed version of who we are, our soul's blueprint, we open the doors for ourselves and for others to live life on a much higher frequency. Everything shifts when we begin to direct the love give to others, inwards.
Today we jam on it.

The Band of Rebels series puts the mic in the hands of people you might not otherwise hear from while simultaneously connects you lovely listeners with other listeners whose wisdom might just be the remedy you needed.
Lots of love!
Your Host - Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Janne Robinson a 21st-century feminist beat poet who is a real live badass woman and someone I’ve been waiting to have on since the beginning.
Janne lives the California dream driving her Jeep to the nearest surf spot before she even thinks about diving into anything else for the day. She is wild, she is free, and she is living her truth through and through. Her outspoken and powerful prose hits home on a level few can reach. She simply is, unapologetically Janne.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about expectations and how they can be a rather dangerous thing if not properly minded.
It's super easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of expectations. We have a desire that we want to see come to life (aka manifest - but I'm trying to keep it fresh here), and before we know it we're gripping tightly to a multitude of expectations. Expectations around when it will show up, how it will show up, in what form, and on and on it goes.
When we expect too tightly and start to attach ourselves to the details we put ourselves in a contractive state of energy. And when we're in a state of contraction, we're essentially blocking the flow of energy. Which means things come in slower and with a lot more effort. When we release expectations and detach from how things will come into form for us, we open up the doors to all that good stuff.
As always, we pull a card for the collective and finish off with a Monday Mashup to hopefully leave you feeling all good and jazzy. :)

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're featuring RRP Crew members Sheleana Aiyana from Rising Woman, Alex Mazerolle Lululemon Ambassador, and Aren Bahia Ink Pray Love. The question we are posing today is "What was the most significant heartbreak in your lifetime? How did you deal with it?"

On this episode, I talk with Mark Groves a Human Connection Specialist and founder of Create the Love.
This is an incredibly powerful episode and a Valentine’s Day exclusive all on love and relationships. What I love about Mark is his depth of knowledge, unbridled honesty, and ability to make seemingly complex and confusing topics around love and relationships simple, clear, and easy to digest.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast, I talk with Stephanie Chevier, the badass artist behind Ink Dust Tattoo.
Stephanie’s work has been very rapidly picking up ever since she decided to dive two feet into her career as a hand poke tattoo artist. You will love her. She is incredibly tuned in, open-minded, and unapologetic about who she is and the gifts she has to offer.
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Audio Coffee edition, we talk all about loooove.
It’s Valentine's day coming up and I get into a few things like expectations in relationships, letting go, self-love, and much more. Last year I went through incredibly difficult heartbreak. It forced me to look a little deeper into relationships, the wounds we carry, and the importance of being whole in ourselves first. And of course, much more.
I also pull a card from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck and finish off with an awesome Monday Mashup all about loooove and relationships.
It's just so fun to write "looove". I can't help myself. :)

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're featuring RRP Crew members Nicole Roy, Kimberly Rich, and Mikaela Rueben. The question we are posing today is "How do you deal with doubt? Was there ever a time in your life when you doubted yourself and almost gave up? What did you do?"

On this episode, I talk with Lynnette Duncan founder of Oracle of Your Soul. Lynnette is an Evolutionary Astrologer and, Master Hypnotherapist and Spiritual Life and Ascension Coach.
I first discovered Lynnette while in Bali nursing my broken heart. Her daily posts on Instagram were always on point and really kept me going and semi-functioning on a daily basis. I hope you can sit down with a tea (or wine), a notebook, and just cozy up with this episode.
P.S. she does a card pull for the collective at the end of the episode which I’ve posted pictures to on the show notes at realrebelpodcast.com
Welcome to the first-ever Audio Coffee episode!
This edition of the Real Rebel Podcast was created with the desire to help you get your week started off on the right foot (or whenever you happen to tune in). Every Monday morning a fresh new episode is brewed and poured for your enjoyment.
In each episode Katie B taps into the energy of the moment and picks a subject to riff on that will hopefully hit home and either soothe your soul or light you on fire (in the best possible way). Each episode also comes equipped with a collective card pull (or two, or three) and a Monday Mashup which includes wisdom from previous Real Rebel Podcast guests mixed with some beats for you to jam out to.
I hope you enjoy this coffee for your ears!

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're featuring RRP Crew members Andrew Martin Energy, Kimberly McMullen from Girl in the Wild, and Heather Pennell from Rising Woman. The question we are posing today is "What advice or pieces of wisdom would you like to share for people as we move forward into 2019?"
On this episode, I talk with Andrew Martin a highly attuned Energy Intuitive, Sound Healer, and Spiritual Guide.
What I loved about Andrew is his ability to take highly advanced and ethereal spiritual concepts, and make them easy to understand and digest. He puts his heart and soul into his work and has been a guiding light for me ever since I discovered him winter of 2018.
The best part about Andrew is he’s 100% himself all the time. Which means a deep roaring head throw-back kind of laugh and the occasional sip of iced coffee during his live videos.
It has been a bit since the RRP hit the airwaves of podcast land. I launched this ship of dreams in 2017 and produced it for a good 6-months. And as it is often with dreams that are big and steps that are bold, the Universe wants to make sure we are up for the task of carrying it. Which means, that sometimes we are momentarily side-stepped in order to grow strong enough to carry the bite we have bitten off.
That's my rationalization at least.
After what felt like the biggest hottest fire I have walked through thus far, the Real Rebel Podcast is back. And much more true to its roots and reason.
On this episode, I go over where I’ve been, what you can expect from the RRP moving forward, and you get to hear some super inspirational clips from some amazing Real Rebels on episodes to come.
It is my greatest pleasure to be given the privilege to speak into your ears once again. One I do no take lightly.
It's good to be back. It's good to be home.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Chloe Elgaran an Intuitive Healer, Psychic, Holistic Nutritionist, Author, Speaker, and founder of Chloe's Countertop. We talk all about her intuitive and psychic abilities, the book she's writing, her family's 500-acre ranch, her connection and communication with her ancestors, the power of horses, and much much more.
In this episode, I talk to Rod Campbell, the "man behind the brand" for the Zaleska Jewelry line. If I had to describe Rod to you I would say he is steady, honest, and wise, with a dash of playful-wild-craziness that comes out at just the right moment. Not only is he all this, but he is an incredibly talented rapper. Yep. I've heard him. He's damn good.
I loved this episode with Sylvia and Rod and am inspired to do more couple episodes because of it. The setting was their room in Ubud, Bali and the rain was pouring down. Sylvia and I were a bottle deep in wine, and the conversation flowed. You'll have to listen in to get all the deep and hilarious detail.
On this episode, I talk with Sylvia Tennant deep in the heart of Bali. Our conversation is easy, fun, and at the same time in-depth and inspiring. The wine is flowing, the rain is pouring down, and it was a LOT of fun!
Sylvia is the designer and CEO behind the Jewelry Line, Zaleksa. The vision behind the line was to create pieces that weren't just meant for looks, but also to enhance the wearer's state of well-being. She does this by incorporating gemstones with metaphysical properties that are both beautiful and powerful. Keep your eyes peeled for LOTS to come from this boss ninja.
We get into a lot of juicy stuff like eyelash extensions and learning to appreciate the bumps in the road. This is a wide-ranging conversation with a woman that I met in the most synchronistic of ways. There's a LOT of gems (see what I did there), in this episode, so be sure to tune in all the way to the end!
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with MYSELF! This is the first-ever solo show where I have a grand old time chatting with you! I LOVED doing this episode because it felt like I was having an intimate conversation with you.
I recorded this in my little home in Bali so you’ll probably hear some cooing and chirping from time-to-time. I talk about a lot of things like the art of allowing, the power of belief, inviting ease and much more. This has been a highly challenging and transformative past few months for me. It was a gift to be able to share some of what I’ve faced and learned from.
I know there is much more to learn, but so far, this is what has helped me.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with the founder of the Make It Show Jenna Herbut.
Jenna is the founder of Make It Show, one of the most popular and well-attended craft shows in Canada. She's also the founder of Conscious Lab, a space for igniting the creative spark and is in the process of writing her book "Make It Happen". Jenna is FULL of spark, light, power, and wisdom. She is 100% herself and that is the power of Jenna.
To know Jenna is to know someone who is absolutely unapologetically herself. While I was editing this episode I caught myself laughing and smiling at the essence that is Jenna Herbut. She's a powerhouse and a natural-born entrepreneur. To know her is to love her.
During this interview, we enjoy some wine while sitting out on the patio in Ubud, Bali. Jenna and I get into some deep and extremely inspirational and REAL conversation. We riff on things like her experience writing a book in Bali, the deciding to succeed, the importance of trust and surrender, and picking up chicks at the pool. It will leave you feeling empowered, equipped, and with a big smile on your face.
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with the founder of Business Babes Collective, Danielle Wiebe. We have a nice "Sunday morning with a cup of coffee" kind of chat.
Mrs. Danielle Wiebe with her brilliant smile and sunny disposition is exactly the kind of person you would expect to be a connector. She is the founder of Business Babes Collective which aims to connect women in business with each other, creating mutually beneficial relationships. She aims to take out the "solo" aspect of working online and is doing it in an ever-expanding way.
We talk about things like productivity, working solo, hiring people, taking on too much at once, growth, focusing on value over profit, elementary school side-hustles, garage sales, and some very interesting (if I do say so myself) rapid-fire questions at the end. Which might have just been my favorite part!
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with the powerhouse that is Gina Best. We get into topics like grief, how she dealt with breast cancer, the importance of feeling your emotions, letting go, getting friendly with uncertainty, and much much more.
What can I say about Gina... I think in order to get the true essence of her, you just need to listen to this episode. Gina is not only a life and business coach but also the founder of a multi-million dollar business. She is a mother, a breast cancer survivor, and someone who is living life to the fullest. Even if that means crying at Costco from time to time. You will love getting to know this woman.
There are many moments in this episode that sent shivers up my spine. We talk about grief, breast cancer, the cost of ignoring emotions, embracing our bodies and much more.
While re-listening to it I both laughed and cried. If you're looking for a therapeutic podcast episode that is sure to put a smile on your face, you've come to the right place. Oh yea, and fuck fine. ;)
Your Host,
Katie B
On this episode, I talk with Megan Elizabeth, the artist behind Art by Megan.
Megan is a full-time artist living in New York with her husband and daughter. She is an incredibly powerful, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth woman. And a total badass to boot. Megan talks all the real talk. She's built her business from the ground up had has the wisdom to show for it. I WILL be having this rebel on again!
We settle right into some real talk when it comes to things like what it's really like your first couple years in business, money and women's perceived roles with it, how she deals with doubts and fears, her "I'm done" moments, how she balances family and business, why she thinks that even asking women about balancing family and business is bullshit... and much much more.
I absolutely loved talking with Megan and I know you will enjoy the conversation just as much I did! I dare you not to smile ;)
Your Host,
Katie
On this episode, I talk with the founder of Project You, Meagan Ayres. She is a businesswoman who faces life head-on from an open and powerful, yet gentle and feminine perspective.
This badass bombshell is the perfect combination of sugar and spice. She is a good friend of mine and the founder of the Project You movement. She balances running a business, a full-time job as a buyer, a relationship, and still manages to look like she just stepped out of a magazine. She literally is a wizard... I'm sure of it.
Meagan is a self-made woman who isn't afraid to get honest and look at her life in order to make it the best it can be. I still don't really know how this woman does it, but in the episode, we get a bit of an idea of what she's faced and overcame, and the exciting directions she's taking moving forward.
Your Host,
Katie B
In this episode, I talk with the lovely Shannan Scott. We had been talking back and forth for a while and just enjoying each other's company. Which is why it felt so easy and natural to have a conversation with her. During the recording of this episode, Shannan was in Hawaii and I was in Denmark, which makes it doubly cool.
Shannan is a small business strategist and the creator of the very well done Ideas with Intention podcast. With a background in event planning and nutrition, she never thought she would end up in the world of online entrepreneurship. She's clearly in the right place and is a godsend to other entrepreneurs when it comes to creating ideas with impact and intention.
We talk all about her path from the corporate world to online entrepreneurship. We get into the details of how exactly she did it, and what the experienced/faced on her path. One of my favorite parts of the interview was the end when she answered the 5 rapid-fire questions. So interesting!
Your Host,
Katie
In this episode, I talk with Mindy the Lion. A badass entrepreneur that figured out what she wanted out of life, went for it, and is now spending her days doing what she loves and making serious bank at the same time!
Mindy is a world traveler, genius photographer, social media wizard, and general badass marching to the beat of her own damn drum. She spends her time traveling the world and working on her business. She's an incredibly driven, smart, and playful person living out this generation's fantasy. With her 129K followers on Instagram, this rebel is definitely doing something right!
We get into Mindy's story of how she went from working a 9-5 job to quitting and booking an airplane ticket that changed everything. Her story isn't without its bumps. At one point she found herself feeling unclear, worthless, and just plain shitty. Cut to now, and she travels the world getting paid to stay in luxury hotels. #truestory
Listen in to find out she made this happen for herself and the things she's learned along the way.
Your Host,
Katie
Latest episode is up and this time it is of the monologue variety. Listen in to the very short (10 mins) episode where I talk about 2017 and 2018, what's coming up for the podcast, shit I'm launching, and insights that have seriously shifted my life and might just do the same for you.
In this episode, I talk with Rima Danielle Jomaa a.k.a Rima the Jungle Girl. She joins me from Costa Rica while I recorded on my end from Bali! For Rima it was 6:30 am and I was able to catch her just before she and her boyfriend went out for a morning surf. Stuff of dreams right?
Rima is a licensed marriage and family therapist, yoga teacher, entrepreneur, advocate for all things vegan, natural & herbal, and host of the Rima the Jungle Girl Podcast. Her aim is to inspire and show people "that living a life in alignment with ethics, morals, and nature is not only possible but essential for the successful progression of our species."
Yes, it literally is the stuff of Rima's dreams. She finally feels like life is clicking and she shares all about how she got there in this episode!
Your Host,
Katie
In this episode, I sit down with Lucy and Daphne, the founders of Salt Design Co. They tell their story of how they went from two completely different directions in life to ultimately meeting each other in design school, and starting a business.
Lucy and Daphne are the brilliant creators of the branding and web design firm Salt Design Co. They came together while studying Graphic Design in Vancouver and haven't looked back since. After 2 years in business, they're already really hitting their stride and consistently offering incredibly valuable offerings including events, blog posts, and a soon to be online course! These ladies are a definite powerhouse duo that you're going to want to keep your eye on!
We get deep into the weeds of their stories and talk things like life path, fear, failure, business partnership, family and much more. Near the end, we get really granular as they give away some extremely helpful advice for website building and brand creation. You're really going to want to listen to the whole thing. It's solid, solid gold.
Your Host,
Katie

Your Host,
Katie
In this episode, I talk with Heather Pennell and we go deep. Real deep. It starts off with me asking her what she had for breakfast and very quickly falls into a conversation about core wounds and healing the things that we may have been avoiding for a long time.
Heather is no ordinary photographer, in fact, she'd prefer not to use that term at all. Her work is multidisciplinary, infusing transpersonal therapy into brand strategy to create the kind of visual storytelling that harkens to mythos past down through the generations.
Her photographs go beyond art, they are medicine.
When she's not behind the lens, you'll find her co-facilitating the Rising Woman Sisterhood, traveling to far off lands to learn from plant medicines and ancient wisdom traditions, or deepening her practice of the shamanic arts.
Heather has worked with brands such as Danielle Laporte, L’oreal: Redken, Gabrielle Bernstein and more.
Your Host,
Katie

She's a bit of a badass. It goes without saying that Sunny is an incredibly powerful woman with a name that more than matches her disposition.

It shines through in absolutely everything she does. You will get a LOT of soul food from listening to this episode, as well as some very helpful business and social media tips and tricks.

There are SO many amazing takeaways from this episode. Not only does Sam share her journey of going through a recent brain surgery (yes you read that right), but she also shares how she went from being a corporate attorney to switching gears and jumping into life as an Entrepreneur.
Sam spends her days as Health Coach, and Business Wizard helping women get their businesses legally protected without breaking the bank. She is an incredibly powerful and knowledgeable woman with a desire to really help. She's totally conscious of being fair and really taking care of the people she works with. Sam is an absolute gem!
A few things we touch on (and I mean just a few out of the MANY) include health, self-care, burnout, business, and need to know legal info.
And on the subject of legal, if you’re a small business and haven’t looked into the legal side of things listen up homie! Sam shares a ton of useful information and resources around the legal side of having your own business.
Trust me when I say this, you will learn a lot of somethings from this episode.
Your Host,
Katie
In this episode, I sit down, in person, with Kaya Dorey founder of the sustainable clothing line Novel Supply Co. and rebel for all things eco.
She’s like a badass eco ninja boss lady.As a life-long North Vancouverite Kaya is no stranger to adventure in the great outdoors and has created this line to be perfect for just that. Her love and respect for this planet has led her on a rebellion against an industry that is incredibly wasteful and destructive.
I live out in the woods so it’s always pretty great when someone comes here to record seeing as they have to bounce along a dirt road to get here and often feel like they might be getting kidnapped. Kaya and her lovely man Chris braved the bumpy road along with their adorable dog Sophie. So needless to say it was a full house!
After filming some shots for a video Kaya was submitting for yet another award, I poured us a glass of bubbly and proceeded to dig into how she went from never thinking she’d be an entrepreneur to running a successful sustainable clothing line business.
If you’re wondering if you should start something or think you might not be able to make a difference or may not be qualified, then this is definitely the episode for you. Be a fly on the wall of this awesome conversation!
Your Host,
Katie

She has worked with hundreds of women to help them reach their health goals. To do this she focuses on realistic and quick to implement approaches that actually last. Aside from her accolades, she is an incredibly warm, fun, and down-to-earth
Cara has definitely had quite a healthy journey. She went from being diagnosed as allergic to food (yes you read that right) to starting her own business as a very well known Health Coach. What I love about Cara is her willingness to go “there” and get real about her experiences.
Also, be sure to check out the Resources and Mentions section below because Cara was dropping resource bombs left right and center in this episode. And they are all PURE GOLD.

WELCOME! This is the first-ever episode of The Real Rebel Podcast! I’m beyond stoked to share this with you.
I chose Kiley Redhead as my first guest because not only has she played a key role in the actualization of the Real Rebel Podcast, but she’s also one of the strongest, most in tune, and powerful women I have ever met. A true rebel in every sense of the word.
Kiley has created her fair share of successful businesses and knows what it feels like to be living out of alignment with your truth. Through her Vision Program, she has helped countless people who are frustrated with their work become crystal clear on who they are and what they're meant to be doing.
In this episode, we talk all about living an inspired life, what that looks like, how to do it, what you might come up against along the way, and how to relax into the unfolding of the journey.
Your Host,
Katie
"In a world that profits from your self-doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act". Hi, I'm Katie B. Host of the Real Rebel Podcast. In this episode, I give you some insight into what the podcast is all about, and what you can expect each week. Every Tuesday I bring on incredible women who are rebelling against the status quo and fighting for the life they want instead of the life they're told they should want. Episodes are real, informative, inspiring, and super freaking fun! This is a place where ladies who are dreaming big dreams can come and listen for wisdom, support, and entertainment. This ones for the Rebels.
