Dang if my age was the number of podcasts I've put out I'd be 60. Will I be a gilf I wonder. If I am then I have no reason to be sad now. Which would make this episode moot. Realistically though this is a very positive episode. I hope you enjoy.

Welp. It's season two. Shawn said that I'm the first Podcast to start a second season after putting out 57 (shout-out heinz) episodes. I said I am a barrier breaker. This season might only be one episode. That's just how art works.
This one is cringe. in fact. I started it way back during season one and when I listened back it made me want to quit (which I did). Fast forward 7 or so months and I got the itch to record a podcast again. Listened to this and took time to realize (shout out colbie calliat) that while it may be kinda cringe, the concept is actually quite fun and potentially a little spark to rekindle the flames of meandering self dialogue. This podcast is like mood lighting. I hope you enjoy it in an ambient way. Put it on in the background. Zone out. Play a video game. Fall asleep. Go for a walk. Do anything but really.. you don't have to listen too closely.

This is an iPhone recording! I wanted to capture the thought in real time and I was in the wild so I just settled with that. I think this one is really relaxing. I left all the pauses in and it has a certain meditative quality that I think you'll find enjoyable if you take it for what it is.

This week I had a random interaction that has lead me to think a lot about oppressive language vs. free language. The paradigm shift in our country towards POC freeing their language is a beautiful thing. However, I am seeing a lot of oppressive language being used from people from every end of every spectrum. These are some musings about that. I also researched communism for the first time this week based on the same random interaction and some of my findings are here as well. Stay tuned at the end for some thoughts from Bre as well.

I was uploading clips of each colorcast to TikTok (https://vm.tiktok.com/weDdKw/) and I realized that this podcast has captured plot points on a very real journey I find myself on. It kinda took me by surprise. Deadline is such an interestingly casual word. The line by which if something doesn't happen you will be dead. Shawn Haller lives in LA and spends most of his time skateboarding, filming YouTube videos for his brother Aaron, and most recently writing music. Over the past year Shawn taught himself piano and wrote his first song which is being released the day this episode airs. The song is called "Airplane Mode" and I think it's really good. I don't think the first song someone writes and releases is normally good, but with Shawn I'm not surprised. There's something in his mentality and the way that he pursues things that I think is really valuable to explore and consider if you're trying to learn something, grow, or achieve any goal big or small. I think we covered a lot of that in our conversation - hope you get something out of it. I get a lot out of it - these are my very first podcasts much like this is Shawns first song.

This one was recorded on my iPhone on the way to NYC. There is a dull roar through-out just cause I'm driving at a high speed. I think it ends up feeling very relaxing once you get used to it but be forewarned!
I'd suggest thinking of these colorcast's as more of a ambience/relaxation tool. This one has a bit more of an arc to it but really it's meant to just be a voice in the room really. I listen to video game walk throughs when I want to relax and that's kinda what inspired these.
