PodOmatic (www.podomatic.com) is a website specialized in the creation of tools and services that enable users to easily find, create, distribute, promote and listen to both audio and video podcasts. A podcast is a type of digital media consisting of an episodic series of audio radio, video, PDF, or ePub files subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device. The word is a neologism derived from "broadcast" and "pod" from the success of the iPod, as podcasts are often listened to on portable media players.

In order to use Podomatic, you must first register for a free account: 1. Click on the Register link in the main page (www.podomatic.com). 2. Enter your name in the first text field. The name you enter will be displayed on your profile. 3. Select a user name and enter it in the second text field. This name will be used to create the address for your podcast page (http://username.podomatic.com) 4. Enter a valid email address. This email address will be used to send you a temporary password. You can click on the link in the email to change your password to something easier to remember. 5. Click on Continue. Than you can record and promote your own episodes, find and listen to already existing episodes, add music and so on, and so forth.
