The state reported 58 new COVID cases on Wednesday, pushing the total number of infections in Hawaii since the pandemic began to 28,950.

Some 24 of the new cases come from Oahu, 22 on Maui, seven on Hawaii Island, one each on Kauai and Molokai, along with three out of state.

There were three new fatalities pushing Hawaii’s death toll to 457. Two of the deaths were on Oahu, another on Maui.

In the last 14 days, there have been 897 cases reported in the islands.

As of Wednesday, the state had administered 558,043 doses.
