Technological advancements in video productions are starting to have a profound impact on experiences. But recombinant innovation, that is where you take multiple technologies and combine them to create something entirely new, is where the real magic lies.
Imagine, for example, recording your grandmother today and combining that with the latest in video production to forever archive a sound and visual representation of her once she has passed. Or even the idea of speaking with a historical figure.
The truth is, the technology is not that far away from this point in a very real way.
So when the real and fake world conflate, there are some critical questions to debate on how far we will let this go in society? Will these technologies start to affect people's pathology and even lead our society to isolation? What's the point in stepping out into the real world when the fake world is so much better?
