Few people really focus on Palm Sunday on the implications of Jesus' public declaration of His Kingdom. That is what this was. Up until this time, Jesus went about His ministry without purposely attracting attention to Himself. Now, however, He is publicly announcing His identity as King and Christ and His actions and words all the more demonstrate this Kingdom work and the contentiousness this brings to the religious establishment in earnest before His death.
