The Utah State school board -- holding an emergency meeting this morning to oppose the school choice/voucher/scholarship proposal on capitol hill -- of 8k per student to attend private or homeschool. The total cost is $42 million dollars to fund school choice. If school choice doesn’t pass… and you redirect every penny of that $42M to public schools… That increases students per pupil spending by about $60 dollars.
