Today, Utah Jazz All-Star Lauri Markkanen will report for service in Finland… It's called mandatory military service. In Finland, every male citizen is required to complete his military service by age 30. Markkanen is 27 years old, and his tour begins today. D2 takes a closer look at the pros and cons of mandatory military service as they speak to Amos Guiora, Professor of Law at the University of Utah who also served in the Israeli Defense Forces.
