Challenges facing schools have changed over the years... In the 80s it was drugs and alcohol. The 90s had many teachers worrying about the influx of gangs in schools. Today, according to a Pew research study, the top worries, by a landslide, are poverty, chronic absenteeism, anxiety and depression. Dr. Rick Robins, Superintendent for Canyons District at Midvalley elementary, talks with Debbie and Taylor about what the Canyons district is doing to alleviate these worries.
