LM, Episode 1108, 12/29/22. My Colonoscopy

Just before the pandemic, I got a colonoscopy and the weirdest part was the nurse asked for my driver’s license for identification.  Are there people trying to steal colonoscopies?  I don’t think they understand what it is or maybe it’s a joke friends play on each other?  

Driving home my wife, Twyla, says, “I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself, I want be together a long time.”

I’m thinking why?  If there is anyone who deserves some peace and quiet it’s Twyla.

As Twyla and I age, I do see the importance of taking better care of ourselves.  This coming year I am changing my workouts to include more strength training and trying to help Twyla workout.  We both want to live a long time because research shows the most important thing that brings humans happiness is having quality relationships with family and friends and we have seen that in the past couple of years living close to our children in Cincinnati.  I have never been happier.
