LM 1026, 1/17/23, ( (Remaster Episode 72, 1/24/20), Help Me, Rhonda 

Early one morning, walking through the Tampa Airport to catch a flight, I heard the Beach Boys song, Help Me, Rhonda and it reminded me of my Grandma Rader because she was constantly having rebound relationships.

Just joking.  Grandma Rader, who loved all kinds of music, loved Help Me, Rhonda and would play the 45 over and over.  Although the story of the song doesn’t portray the healthiest of recovery from a bad relationship and it seems it a bit creepy in this Me Too time, the song brought a smile to my face because it reminded me of Grandma Rader. 

Grandma Rader was the happiest person I ever knew.  She laughed daily and, except early in the morning, always had a smile on her face. She once told me, “I don’t sing because I’m happy.  I’m happy because I sing.”
