LM, Episode 1131, 1/22/23, (Remaster 69, 1/21/20), Happy Birthday, Mom

Although Mom is older, she can still scare me.  A few years ago I took her out to lunch for lunch.  The woman sitting at the next table tells her 12 year old, “Let your brother play a game on your phone.”

The kid says, “No.”

“I said, let your brother play a game on your phone.”

“And I said NO, because it’s my phone.”

Mom says, “You know, if you’d ever talked with me like that, the only way you’d see that phone again is to get a colonoscopy.  But first I’d turn it on vibrate, and call you all hours of the day and night, bet you’d have a different attitude next time I told you to do something.”

“Come on, Mom, who you kidding, you don’t know how to turn a phone on vibrate.”

Everybody working at the emergency room agreed that was a mistake.”  

Yesterday was Mom’s birthday.  I wish her many more and always remember laughter matters.
