A long-term perspective is a necessary component of a Christian worldview. Unfortunately, too many Christians are not long-term thinkers and doers, and are influenced to inactivity by short-term pessimism. In this talk given at a church in Texas, Gary encourages optimism and invites his audience to consider the long view of biblical thought and action by drawing attention to a well-known passage that is often (wrongly) used to promote pessimism.
