promise? promise. pinky promises can't be broken, right? they’re sacred. we carry out this silly act of commitment to prove to everyone, including ourselves, that our promise will be fulfilled. even when we aren’t talking about something silly, like childhood crushes, we sometimes put our faith and trust into mundane ideas like pinky promises. questions like: won’t you stay? won’t you love me for me? won’t you let me love you back? where is your heart? how’s your spiritual life? are you okay? are hung on the flimsy solidarity of the wrapping of pinkies.
