Genesis 2:15-17 “Not About Us” continues this Bible journey and study through the book of Genesis with this podcast, that packs a lot of conversation into a shorter study. Scott starts out by explaining how Adam was placed in the Garden of Eden to dress it and keep it while giving us a word study focusing on the words “dress” and “keep”. Glory is given to God when a realization is made that He did all the hard work of creating and left the fun stuff of decorating the creation to us. This leads to a discussion of our purpose before the fall. Scott shares more Hebrew word pictures to paint the picture of Adam watching over and guarding the Garden and that leads to a comparison of guarding the salvation in our hearts. This one wraps up with a discussion of why man was not guilty of sin before eating of the fruit, a word study on the word “day” and finally it concludes with evidence to suggest that Adam did die on the same day he ate the fruit, physically and spirituality.
