Jonathan writes for the Atlantic and the USA Today. He grew up in Snellville, Georgia where his dad was the President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He’s an alumnus of Liberty University.
In the mid 20-teens he was outed as a gay man and has defined his identity from a perspective of a member of the lgbt community. He writes about issues of the day frequently on religion.
Jonathan discusses how the culture has changed in America during and after Donald Trump and where he finds common ground with members of the lgbt community. We also discuss where he finds issues and questions with progressive ideology towards puberty blockers and gender dysphoria with transgender children.
We also discussed the issues with the Southern Baptist Conventions recent issues that have come to light from a guidepost report, that clearly highlight a massive problem that had existed for decades regarding leaders and crimes against children.
