Ryan has spent 20 years building analytics systems that people actually trust. The last 3 years taught Ryan what happens when you put AI on top of a strong BI foundation.
Most AI deployments fail before they start because the data underneath it is ambiguous, inconsistent, and disconnected from how decisions are made.
So Ryan built the DataTools Pro AI Blueprint.
Let’s learn about Business Semantics and why that matters more than ever in an AI world.
Jim and Tim haven’t met yet, but Jim was tagged on a LinkedIn post by someone that Tim respects.
Jim comes from the Marketing world and has a product that helps companies get discovered by LLM tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
What does Marketing have to do with ERP? It’s all about getting the right information discovered at the right time, whether you’re going out to the public market to look for something or whether you’re looking for something in your internal ERP.
There are 2 main ways to build something that interacts with an ERP:
When you build outside, you then need a way to schedule what you built and be able to handle errors when what you built breaks at random times
I think that’s where n8n comes in, but I want to learn more about it from Aleks
Managing multiple eCommerce sites (website, Amazon, Shopify, etc.) with your ERP is trickier than you might think
Lessons learned from over 20 years in this space and how Artificial Intelligence is making an impact
What does a modern enterprise ERP / eCommerce technology stack look like in the age of AI and how do we apply AI to Commerce in the real world without getting taken in by smoke and mirrors
OmnifiCX - What Rahul has been working on lately
My favorite feature in Acumatica is the ability to connect directly to the data in a Generic Inquiry over OData
It's my favorite feature because both Microsoft Excel and Power BI understand OData so you can design reports that are refreshable at the click of a button instead of having to Export to Excel every time you want new data
But OData can time out on large datasets
That time out problem could be solved with a differential refresh on OData, but I've never figured out how
Kaden thinks he has a way to do it so let's find out
Just me this episode so this will be a shorter one
Earlier this week I posted a lenghty explanation about moving AugForums.com to read-only mode
And transitioning to focus on ErpSeal.com
This Podcast also moves to ErpSeal.com
I’m not restarting the Podcast episode numbers, just continuing under a new name
So I thought we should dedicate this episode to talk about why this Podcast is now called the ErpSeal.com Podcast
Documenting your business processes is something that we all know we should do, but, if we’re honest, usually we don’t :)
Tejas has been in the business process documentation game for decades so I’m sure he’s got some stories
Let’s talk about the importance of documenting business processes
And let’s talk about how this might have renewed importance in the age of Artificial Intelligence
Way too much talk about Artificial Intelligence these days, but most of the talk is hype or smoke and mirrors. What about actually doing something?
Let’s talk with Joe and Serge about using AI to do something practical: create Generic Inquiries and Businesss Events in Acumatica using AI
Joe and Serge work for JAMIS, an Acumatica OEM, and JAMIS has a long history of pioneering new techniques using the Acumatica Platform
Let’s hear from an Ann Olson and the team from Showdown Displays that used Azure Document Intelligence to automate the entry of Purchase Order Documents into the Sales Orders screen in Acumatica
What is the tech stack? How well does it work in the real world? Did employees who used to manually enter data get to elevate their responsibilities to higher value-added tasks?
I’ve got a bunch of questions...
We've seen the AI Assistant demoed for over a year now and it definitely generated a lot of buzz.
It finally released officially in Acumatica 2026 R1.
Tim just got access to it last week and decided that it would be fun to tinker with it live on an episode broadcast because it's always more fun to do things live without any prep.
Let's “unbox” it and have some fun.
Laura is one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet about Acumatica Report Designer
Laura is doing an Acumatica Community Webinar 09:00am - 10:00am Pacific Time on April 21, 2026
In this episode, I’m going to pick Laura’s brain about what she’s planning to present
This will be a conversation with no demo; the demo will come on April 21
So let’s help shape the agenda for April 21
Joe’s company brought Acumatica on-prem, despite it costing the same price as SaaS. Let’s learn about why.
Let’s also learn about Joe’s Jr. AI Developers that he “hired” in January. How’s that going?
Joe is VERY security conscious and yet he’s running OpenClaw for his AI Agents. How’s that possible?
Are Joe’s AI Agents coding inside Acumatica or just interacting with Acumatica through APIs? I’ll ask...
Deep context on Acumatica's data access layer (DACs, BQL, PXProjection, PXGraph)
Authoritative SQL view patterns for GI-backed reporting
Version-specific field mappings across 25R1, 25R2, and 26R1
Known gotchas from real client deployments (virtual fields, phantom rows, multi-tenant joins)
Customization project deployment best practices for SaaS-hosted tenants
Tim was an “AI Curmudgeon” since ChatGPT launched in November 2022, thinking it was overhyped.
But Tim finally dove head first into AI in January 2026
and has been “drinking from the firehose” ever since.
This episode walks through something that I built in real life last weekend using AI. This skill is important now that we have AI Assistant in Acumatica 2026 R1.
Has anyone ever asked you to create a Dashboard for them in Acumatica?
Then you ask them what they'd like to see on it and they give you a blank stare?
The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) has a lot of guidance in this area about what KPIs matter in an organization.
EOS Implementer Jake Wells joins us to talk about it.
Artificial Intelligence is improving so fast that it's hard to keep up. AI is not good at doing everything, but one thing that it's really good at doing is coding. People who aren't developers have been creating all sorts of interesting things with AI. Phil is going to show us how he used AI to create his own Business Intelligence tool.
When Tim saw Mik C. demo the Calendar Board in the new Acumatica UI, Tim thought, “hey, that looks like a scheduling engine that could be used in other areas, not just a Field Service screen”. Daryl has been getting into the weeds and is finding that to be the case. Let’s dive into the tech details and discuss possible additional use cases like
support tickets, deliveries, work centers, etc.
Gabriel did a session at Acumatica Summit 2026 last week where he showed new Excel templates for construction, best practices for Dashboards, a redesigned Query Builder for no-code data exploration, and new AI features that speed up reporting work.
I really wanted to attend, but wasn't able to make it, so Gabriel is going to show me that stuff on this Episode, with the added benefit that I get to pester him with questions 😀
Would you like to demystify the Acumatica ERP buying experience? Arline will break down how Stellar One allows companies to explore Acumatica, risk-free, in an environment that includes their own data pulled from their existing system.
THEN they decide if they want to buy.
We'll talk about moving from a traditional model to a newer model, and the risks and rewards that come with that.
The VIEW HISTORY button on the
Automation Schedules (SM205020) screen
in Acumatica will show you the Execution Date
and the Execution Result, but it won't show you
how long it took to run.
I'd like to show you an idea for how you can see
how long the Automation Schedule took to run.
Until meeting Mark at the Acumatica User Group
in New Jersey on September 10, I always thought of
Smartsheet as a data capture tool, not a reporting tool.
But Mark told me how he uses Smartsheet
as a reporting tool, feeding it with Acumatica data.
That sounded interesting so let's take a look at
what Mark is up to.
An “always current” Cloup ERP is a great idea in theory,
but the reality is that you have to go through upgrades.
And upgrades require prepration.
So let’s talk about Acumatica Upgrades in the real world
with Garrett Rochell
This is the final part in my preparation
Podcast series for acuCONNECT 2025. Let’s wrap this thing up.
acuCONNECT 2025 will take place
Thursday, September 18 - Friday, September 19
acuCONNECT 2025 will take place
Thursday, September 18 - Friday, September 19
I’m using this live broadcast to document what I’m building,
which will be presented during acuCONNECT 2025.
In Part 3, let’s continue from where we left off in Part 2,
finishing off the Service Level calculation and then
moving on to the Inventory Value calculation.
Chris and I last talked on the Podcast back in February 2022 on Episode #69, about 5 months after he started at Acumatica in the role of Community Manager. A lot has changed since then so I’m looking forward to getting an update on what Chris has been up to, specifically related to Acumatica User Groups.
acuCONNECT 2025 will take place
Thursday, September 18 - Friday, September 19
I’m using this live broadcast to document what I’m building,
which will be presented during acuCONNECT 2025.
In Part 1, I laid out why I’m using a live stream to document
the prep work and then I showed what I’m trying to build.
In Part 2, we’ll look at what Acumatica reporting tool to use.
acuCONNECT 2025 will take place Thursday, September 18 - Friday, September 19. This year I’m going to present how to build a report that shows how your Inventory Service Level (Qty Shipped / Qty Ordered) compares to your Inventory Value (Total $). I thought it would be fun to prepare for this on a
live broadcast and build it together.
I met Rob Griffin at the Acumatica Summit 2025 Hackathon in Las Vegas and, while we were chatting, he mentioned that his company built an offline time entry mobile app for Acumatica. That's a big difference from the regular Acumatica Mobile App which does not work offline.
So, I thought I'd see it in action on a live broadcast. The only "prep" that Rob and I are going to do for this is to jump on 30 minutes before we start broadcasting and "prep" in those 30 minutes. Then we'll go live and have some fun.
