Gil is an OEF/OIF U.S. Army veteran who served for 13 years on active duty from 2002 to 2015. During that time he was deployed twice to the Middle East. He has been in the I.T. industry since 2002 (started out in the Army). He has 3 college degrees: BS in Applied Science, MS in Information Technology (emphasis on Information Assurance), & an MBA.

Gil has 6 I.T. certifications: CompTIA ITF+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Sec+, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), & CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). He has worked in various roles in I.T. from a help desk technician to a system administrator to a service desk manager to an I.T. analytical researcher all the way to teaching entry-level I.T. for teenagers & adult learners.
