On today's Tech, No Babel: Director Tips for Camera Ops
Having been spent time in both the director's chair and in the camera operator seat, I thought I'd share some of the tips I've picked up so that camera ops can be as helpful as possible to their directors:
Allow extra time in the shot.
Keep an eye on the screen.
Plan shots and always have an alternate plan.
Listen hard.
Lead up; don't resist leadership.
