A colonial costume tradition for third graders in Medfield, MA has been cancelled. For decades the 3rd grade class would dress up in colonial clothing and travel to nearby Rocky Woods for an authentic interactive historical experience with MA Native Peoples and European Settlers. Now students will all wear matching T-shirts. Why the change? Should the tradition have carried on? Why or why not?
