According to a study done by RMI, a nonprofit organization devoted to clean energy solutions, indoor gas stove use for cooking is associated with an increased risk of childhood asthma. RMI found that gas stoves are responsible for 15.1% of childhood asthma cases in MA, which is slightly higher than the 12.7% of childhood asthma cases nationwide that are attributed to gas stoves.
