The coronation of King Charles III just ocurred! It was Britain’s first coronation in 70 years. Even though King Charles has already been serving as the commonwealth’s reigning monarch since the moment Queen Elizabeth died, the purpose of the coronation is to legitimize the monarch in a public way.
