We revisit a Vermont case in which a man was arrested for “disorderly conduct” by a Vermont State Trooper. The criminal charges were dismissed but now Gregory Bombard is suing the state and the trooper for civil damages alleging that his First Amendment rights were violated. Mr. Bombard’s lawyer will join us to discuss the merits of the case and the potential implications for law enforcement officers.
