Postpartum psychosis is a rare but serious mental health emergency that can occur after childbirth, causing symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, and severe mood changes. Unlike postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis can involve a loss of touch with reality and requires immediate medical attention. The condition is at the center of the Lindsay Clancy trial, which is now underway.
