Governor Charlie Baker had vetoed a new law that would grant undocumented immigrants a standard state driver’s license beginning in July of 2023, but the state Senate joined the House in overriding the veto. The new law will also prohibit the RMV from asking about or keeping documents related to immigration status. Was enough thought put into creating these new rules?
