Continuing our look at the interceding martyrs in heaven -Revelation 6-9-10-, we considered how different their prayers in heaven are from when they prayed on earth -Acts 7-60-.----We focused on the Lord Jesus' response as he stands at the right hand of the Father -Acts 7-55-56-.----When his people suffer, the Lord Jesus suffers with them. The Apostle Paul understood that his own suffering was part of the suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ.----While in no way denying the sufficiency of the Lord's substitutionary, once-for-all death on the cross -Hebrews 9-24-27-, the suffering of the Body of Christ is completing Christ's own suffering -Colossians 1-24-.----That is why Paul cheerfully endured suffering- His suffering was a means God used to save his own elect -2 Timothy 2-10-.----Now is the time to intercede for loved ones. Now is the day of salvation -2 Corinthians 6-2-.
