**Jesus doesn‘t call us to simply be his students, to study and learn about Him and His teachings.  He calls us to be His disciples.  Both are interested in learning from the teacher; however, disciples learn for the sake of obedience.  They learn in order to take action.  That’s why Jesus regularly warned people to be conscious of their fruit.
