Lance Dewease won a rain shortened night number 1 of the National Open scoring a win for the PA Posse on their home turf. At 10 laps, Dewease now has the distinction of winning the shortest race in Outlaws' history. Donny Schatz finished in 8th. Rain also forced the postponement of the next nights’ $75,000 to win National Open championship to Saturday, October 22nd.

Chase Elliott made a great move with 1 lap to go to take the lead and the win over Ryan Blaney, Michael McDowell, Ross Chastain, and Denny Hamlin to punch Elliott’s ticket into the round of 8. Elliott is now safe from elimination while also being on top of the point standings.
