To say that voters do not care about national security is stating the obvious. When they cast their ballot they are more concerned about the economy, jobs, health care, education and other issues, not on what Canada's security services are up to. Alas, politicians know this and as a consequence national security issues rarely - if ever - get raised in the public sphere. One would hope, however, that our leaders care about this behind the scenes? Do they? I talk with an academic and a former National Security Intelligence Advisor on these issues.
