Prior to Pentecost, for the most part, the Holy Spirit only made cameo appearances. Joel, an Old Testament prophet, had prophesied that before the Day of the Lord (i.e., the end times) that the Holy Spirit would be poured out and available for all of humanity, i.e. young and old, blue collar and white collar, and you.
