Holy Thursday, April 1, 2021

At the night of the Last supper a series of events took place. At the heart of these events is the Mandatum. The giving of a new commandment, “to love one another as I [Christ] has loved you.” To follow Christ is to love, and to love is to serve, and to serve we must have received this commandment. We must first receive love in order to love. Have we? Today may be April’s Fool, but Holy Thursday was no joke. Our salvation depends on it.
