In this episode, Tammy will be talking to Anne Fox about how she is managing her team’s emotional resilience during the pandemic. They discuss the changes she made to ensure her team's needs were being met (despite working remotely), the importance of maintaining your capacity for empathy and kindness (for both your employees and service users) and her own perspectives of the challenges the sector faces in the upcoming months.

Series 3 of the Training 4 Influence podcast, as requested by you, our listeners, is focused on emotional resilience, how to build and maintain it and why it’s so important for those working in the criminal justice, social care and charity sectors.

Without emotional resilience, frontline professionals are at risk of suffering from burnout, vicarious trauma and significant mental health issues - we’ll be sitting down with guests, in different job roles, to hear real stories of both avoiding burnout and rebuilding after it. Our aim is to share positive thoughts and ideas that will inspire, protect and motivate frontline professionals.

Anne Fox is the Chief Executive Officer of Clinks - the national charity supporting criminal justice charities and social enterprises across England and Wales.

Anne has worked within charities in the Republic of Ireland and UK since 1998. She has worked in policy, campaigns and communications’ roles on behalf of people who live in poverty, families in challenging circumstances - including those with a disabled family member or headed by someone parenting alone - and for disabled children and adults.

Anne strongly believes in collective action, collaboration and in supporting people with lived experience to effect change.

We hope you enjoy listening to this discussion about why, having worked in frontline and then strategic roles across the criminal justice and charity sector, both Tammy and Anne believe that investing in the emotional needs of your frontline staff is an important step in delivering exceptional services.
