John Sinclair, American Poet, writer, and political activist from Flint, Michigan. Sent to prison in 1969 for 10 years for gifting two joints to a undercover cop. But the system couldn't keep the founding member of the White Panther Party behind bars for long! A concert to raise awareness in Ann Arbor Michigan forever changed the laws and the peoples voices where heard and the Michigan supreme court over ruled the verdict and John was released from prison after saving 2 years. John Lennon wrote a song titled "John Sinclair" and performed it in Ann Arbor in 1971 at the John Sinclair freedom rally. Be sure to check out all the YouTube videos from that concert.
