Ryan Crim is a family physician. He graduated with a degree in ethics from Cornell in 1993, Georgetown Med school in 1997 and completed his residency at Wake Forest in 2000. Ryan has been going to Haiti since 2012 and has worked with several different organizations. He currently works with Reach Out Lafond and his eldest child works with Kids Connection Haiti. Today Chris Hunter joins the show. He was arrested in 2005 and convicted on drug conspiracy and gun charges. It was a non-violent crime. Chris decided to take the case to trial and was convicted and sentenced to 420 months in prison. He served 16 years and 6 months. He was released this past May because of the Cares Act. In prison Chris discovered the power of a strong work ethic. Graham Spanier served as president of The Pennsylvania State University from 1995 to 2011. His prior positions include chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Oregon State University, and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

On the show today we revisit a case that has been talked about a lot on this podcast, the Jerry Sandusky/Penn State/Joe Paterno scandal. This means that the foremost expert on this case, John Ziegler, is back. oday on Finding Freedom Solomon Montagueo joins the show. Solomon has a story that will inspire you and build your faith.
In July 1997, Solomon Montagueo was charged with conspiracy to distribute multiple kilograms of cocaine base, and possession with the intent to distribute 2.3 grams of cocaine base. He was found guilty on both counts, and sentenced to life plus 30 years in federal prison. He was able to gain his freedom thanks to the 1st Step Act after serving 28.5 years.

Lauren Reynolds is back on the show this week. Lauren originally was on the show back on Episode 211. Last weekend John had the opportunity to sit down with Spike Cohen. Spike was the Vice Presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party in 2020. He’s a successful entrepreneur who built an impactful career helping small businesses to thrive. In fact, he’s been so successful that he’s retired and is spending all of his time on political activism.

On today's rewind Claus "Moffe" Nielsen joins the show. Claus has a very important story to tell. Many American politicians, such as current Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, paint Denmark to be a liberal utopia. Claus pulls back the current to reveal the truth by sharing the injustice he suffered while living in Denmark.
Claus had his life life turned upside down while living in Denmark. It all started when he began to produce his own THC-oil to help his daughter fight cancer. The THC oil helped his daughter to beat cancer and soon demand grew from others who were sick and wanted his THC-oil for their ailments. Eventually Claus was arrested, tried and convicted.
Anthony Welti is today’s guest on Finding Freedom. Anthony, his wife, and their son are currently living in a tiny house and traveling the nation spreading the message of self-ownership. Their focus is on creating liberty for themselves and others, while helping coach Libertarian candidates on how to run successful campaigns.
Anthony is an accomplished libertarian activist who broke records for vote totals and raised the bar fundraising as a Libertarian candidate. He served as Spike Cohen’s Tour Manager in the 2020 election, was chairman of a county Libertarian Party chapter in 2017, and held multiple roles in the Libertarian Party of Washington.

Coss is the perfect example of how an individual put in the work to find their freedom.
At the age of nineteen Coss was making more than $2 million per year selling illegal drugs using an elaborate delivery system. He reinvented how drugs were sold in his neighborhood and became the "Uber of the drug trade" before Uber even existed. At twenty-three Coss was arrested and convicted and spent more than 7 years in prison.
During his incarceration Coss transformed his life. He lost 70 lbs in prison and changed his outlook on life. He shares how he went from running boot camps in the park to becoming a wildly successful entrepreneur and owner of a successful fitness company, ConBody. He also shares how he quickly pivoted when the pandemic hit and by doing so expanded his business when most of his competitors were closing down. Coss also co-hosts a podcast called Ex Dealer Ex Junkie.

Lyle was convicted of a double homicide in 1999 at age 19. While incarcerated he has managed to earn a GED and Associate's Degree. He has also published two books and is working on his third. On today's rewind hear an incredible story from Jason Spyres. Jason suffered a major injustice as a result of selling cannabis in his teens. Jason was arrested on drug charges nearly 20 years ago. In the years since, he’s been on a path of personal success.
When he was 19 years old, he was arrested for selling cannabis during an undercover sting, and until recently, the state of Illinois had kept him out of society for it. Jason served 15 years of a 30-year prison sentence. Once Jason got a taste of freedom, he pushed relentlessly for his goals. While on work release he worked 2 jobs and took on a full slate of college classes to work towards his goal of becoming an engineer.
Currently, Jason is enrolled at Stanford University and is actively petitioning the Governor of Illinois for a full pardon. Jason will be the first to tell you that he's not doing this for himself, but to blaze a trail for those who do not have the resources to fight for themselves.
Shane Hazel joins John on the show. Shane is the host of the Radical Podcast. He’s the former Libertarian Party candidate for US Senate in Georgia in 2020 and a current candidate for Governor of Georgia in 2022.
During the show Shane and John discussed the threats to liberty in the current environment of the Covid regime and theorized how Bitcoin and crypto can help us to find our way out of this mess.

Judy Henderson joins John to talk about the unbelievable injustice she suffered in the criminal justice system. In 1982, Judy Henderson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 50 years for her role in a robbery-turned-murder. Her boyfriend at the time – the man who committed a robbery, fired a gun, killed someone, and shot Henderson herself in the process – went free, while Henderson did the time.
In December of 2017, Missouri Governor Eric Greitens commuted Judy Henderson’s sentence to time served: 36 years and 111 days. The Governor reached this decision after he and his counsel reviewed thousands of pages of reports, court transcripts, letters, and records related to Henderson’s case.
Today’s guest on Finding Freedom is Joy Watson. Joy shares her remarkable story. It will have you crying along with her and cheering her on as she perseveres through many traumatic experiences along the way. Through it all, Joy kept her spirit and came out of prison on the other side with a heart that is eager to help others and to chase her dreams.
Unfortunately, Joy’s story starts similar to so many of the formerly incarcerated that I talk to. She got caught up in a situation with her husband selling pot and the feds nailed her with conspiracy charges. Joy decided to fight because she knew she was innocent and as almost always happens, the feds won. Joy was convicted of conspiracy to possess marijuana and money laundering. She was sentenced to 18 years in prison. She served 12 of those year and was finally released on December 23rd 2019.

On today's Finding Freedom Rewind we look back on an incredible interview with polygraph expert Doug Williams. Doug shares with John why he believes the polygraph to be a complete fraud of a technology. This episode originally aired in September of 2018. Unfortunately, Doug passed away in March of 2021. He had been battling an illness. May he rest in peace.
Doug administered polygraph examinations for the Oklahoma City Police department from 1972 - 79. In 1979 he began teaching people how to beat the polygraph. The feds didn't like this so they came after him and he was incarcerated in Federal prison for 2 years for "protesting the loudest and the longest against the polygraph." Williams was finally released from prison on July 26th 2017.

Today’s episode is an amazing conversation with Magette Wade. Ms. Wade is the Senegalese founder and CEO of Skin is Skin, the "lip balm with a mission" - a staple at Whole Foods.
