I’ll bet you will disagree with me at first glance but if you give it a second...I think that what I’m about to say will speak to you.
You don’t really want it to be easy...you just want to be stronger and more confident. You want to be able to operate and exist with a deep sense of certainty and self-belief.
You don’t really want a challenge-free life...you want your difficulties to stir up something inside you that is greater than all of your challenges.
I was listening to Oprah interview Dr. Michael Beckwith and he said something that woke me up. He said, “pain pushes until the vision pulls. The universe is progressive and it’s pushing you until you get pulled by a larger vision”
Wow, talk about a shift! All my life I’ve felt like I’ve been operating from pain. It wasn’t until the last 3-5 years that I’ve been experiencing this shift gradually take place in my life. And man, what a relief.
This is really about moving from fear to love, from a scarcity mindset to an abundance minsent, from thinking we’re all separate to understanding we’re all one.
Easier said than done, I get it.
Pain will continue to push us. Why? Because we all naturally try and move away from pain. So if the pain looks like...“I don’t have enough money,” or “I don't have enough confidence,” it will continue to push you. Hopefully, at some point however, a shift will happen for you where a bigger vision starts to take hold of you and starts to pull you in the direction of your dreams. At this point, the fear is no longer pushing you, it’s the idea of your dream and the love for your dream that is pulling.
In the interview with Oprah, Michael Beckwith goes on to say that, “potential is always bigger than the problem.” This is not only comforting, but also empowering.
Your problems are painful I'm sure, but continuing to play a victim will only keep you there. You’ve got to think about the possibilities.
When things are hard....remember that life is pulling you towards a vision that is larger than your pain. When you operate from your highest vision of yourself, you’re being pulled by a higher vibratory state...by joy, love and possibility!
Every moment we have a choice...to walk in the direction of our dreams, or to allow our fear and pain hold us back from ever taking a step.
