Introductions often convey a message that we want the audience to hear.

Paul, writing to a church in Ephesus he knew well, wants to get a message clearly across: Do you know you’re blessed?

In the first few verses of the letter, he reminds them of the truths of the Gospel: of God’s election and love for His people, of Jesus dying for our sins.

And he asks us all the question: What are you focussing on?
